When I phoned before the event to ask what happens when an investment trust merges with a fund, I was told the position would roll into the newly formed (same named) fund. This is not what happened; my position was closed and I had to crystallise a loss. So I closed my account

Very good service provider
Very good service provider.
Large selection of instruments to trade which I mainly use for forex. Tight spreads, fast execution and trustworthy with all types of pending orders.
Reliable comprehensive platform with no issues experienced. No problems whatsoever with withdrawing funds (which is same day).
The Spreadex App is great as well, again with no problems experienced.
All in all I am very happy with the complete service provided and have found them to be trustworthy in all aspects.

Customers need a warning at open spread…
Customers need a warning at open spread size changes HIGH in certian stocks.
I have traded for 8 years and moved from IG to test this platform and never been whiped out of stocks at open as much as this platform
There are a lot of positives, but feel this needs to be addresses. Also a extra benefit would be being able to chose stocks all sessions, or no out of hours as also causes issues in trading.

Regarding the wider spread on some stocks around opening, this will be because of temporary illiquidity in the underlying market.
As you may already be aware, the spread on shares is made up of two things: the spread in the underlying market and the Spreadex spread.
The Spreadex spread doesn’t change intraday but the spread in the underlying market will (this is outside of our control).
That said, we appreciate this can be frustrating. The next time you spot such an occurrence, if you flag it to shares@spreadex.com, we’ll take a look into it for you.

Good platform with frustrations
I have been using SpreadEx for a little while now on the recommendation of Robbie Burns, The Naked Trader. The platform is clear and simple to use but the very wide spreads on some shares at market open that cause stop losses (set with reference to the ATR Trailing Stops Strategy by Sylvain Vervoort on TradingView plus a little bit or recent support plus a bit) to be unnecessarily hit are a real pain that require staff intervention to void. There appears to be no blanket setting to increase stop losses at market open therefore stop losses have to be set unnecessarily wide to avoid getting stopped out at open.
The staff are generally quite responsive to trade issues and setting up new shares / ETFs but they do not always set up the shares / ETFs with their correct (or even logical) names or minimum size which requires a further email to rectify. This has happened more than once.
The interface is great but lacks customisation in terms of the segregation of trading regions for open positions using either tabs or sections as they do in TradingView, for example, it would be useful to be able to set up tabs for "Communist UK", "Dictatorship Europe" or "MAGA USA".
IMHO, if I may be so bold, for SpreadEx to become great they need to engage more with their customers in the form of more regular / detailed / interactive feedback and the staff need to be trained in the importance of setting up shares / ETFs correctly the first time to avoid customers having to send multiple emails per request.
I hope this review is taken seriously but in the positive light that it is intended in order to benefit SpreadEx and its customers and, yes, I would recommend them to friends, spouses and anyone else that aspires to beat the counterfeiting of our currencies by governments in cahoots with the central banksters.

Spreadex provides what I’m looking for.
I’ve found Spreadex to be efficient friendly and professional. Spread betting is really the only way a small retail punter like me can go short on stocks and I appreciate them providing this facility for me as I like to try to identify equities with ridiculously high P/E ratios and go short, always keeping to sensible stakes so it’s fun whether I’m winning or losing although, of course I’m much happier winning!
