Their website reads "real time data", so I tried their press release API. Funny enough, it has a delay of 6–10 minutes. I asked the customer support: I guess real time data means it's normal to have a 10-minute delay.

I asked for a refund, because that's just not what was advertised on their website. Of course, no refunds.

Great customer support. asked several detailed questions about their API and had an answer in less than a day. Also, working on their API endpoints. It's extensive.

Yes, there are data errors compared to official annual reports published by companies (I am currently only working at COST ticker - ONE company -, so it may be an exception rather than the rule), but all of the error reports I submitted has been replied to and corrections attempted. I don't blame financialmodelingprep.com for the errors, as the source XBRL from Edgar tags are sometimes misaligned, which makes extraction very complicated. They are trying (hopefully hard enough) to make the data as clean as they can. Hopefully in 11 months, when my subscription ends, there will be such progress that merits extension of my subscription. I am optimistic that they will get there, by the responses I have been getting (thank you Hanna for taking the data errors seriously so far).

Rich and responsive API , but I continue to find bugs in reported data. Not sure if the sources they use are not clean, their own data merge process has bugs or there are other problems. Sometimes the team responds with a "fixed" message within a couple of days. Sometimes I do not get a confirmation for much longer.

Suggested to the team to open source the library (not the data) so that we can help fix bugs in data retrieval, transformation and aggregation logic, thus improve the regression test suite for everyone's benefit. No response on this point for several months.

I've been using their financial data services for the past year, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The accuracy of their historical prices, fundamental data, and insider transactions is unparalleled. The 30-year data span is incredibly valuable for in-depth analysis. Highly recommend for anyone needing reliable financial data.

I used this API for the past two years and I have no complaints about that at all. I really like the way they structured the info and how their API interface is implemented. I like their documentation. I can say this is the kind of experience you expect to have when you use such kinds of API — no problems with data, easy to find an endpoint you need, and easy to interact with. A good one.

Bad: This service was fine at first. But between 2022 and 2023, something happened I guess. There were no API updates for an 8+ months period and you can see this on their own changelog.

Worse: I started reporting problems with stock splits handling since the start of 2023. To their credit, they would fix the specific ticker you reported.. after a few days. But I requested them to fix the problem multiple times in a more systematic way, and this was never implemented. In contrast, I noticed a similar problem when I tried out EODHD, and they managed to fix this problem systematically almost immediately.

Worst: When I wanted to cancel my subscription, they tried to change the topic and negotiate with me. That's fine.. whatever, understandable I guess. However, when I finally got them to confirm my subscription cancellation, they also immediately suspended my account prior to expiration. This gave me a quite a bit of trouble because I was still using it for my SaaS. The only saving grace was I didn't give them the benefit of doubt and was already 99% done with my rewrite to use EODHD instead.

Swapped to FMP to replace a number of different other services and data scrapes. Dealing with Taylor & FMP Support, the team were quick to reply, quick to resolve issues, and to have been able to add/repair all the data requested. With such short turnaround times, this has been really great and very much appreciated. The amount of data (I model multiple currencies and backtest long-dated long-only stock trading strategies) is also excellent, in most cases going back many years. By far the best price-to-value option I have found thus far.

The best investment app I have used before. It was super easy to use anyone who is not familiar with Investment apps

I signed up with FMP at the beginning of this month. I was surprised by how easy it is to work with the API and how well the documentation is written.
When I couldn't get things to work, I messaged support and they always got back to me and found a solution.
In terms of available data, compared to other services they include a lot of things in the basic package like economic news, stock earnings, press releases, intraday stock prices etc.
I highly recommend them!
