My issue with Fetch is the channel selection.
On the face of it, they have hundreds of channels, but the reality is different. Many of the channels are repreated on different frequencies. Some of them are repeated 4 or 5 times.

The internet channels are a joke. Who wants to watch the Bondi Vet channel or the Wicked Tuna channel?
There is one movie channel. One!
Some of the free streaming apps, such as Plex. have a much better selection, with 4 or 5 good documentary channels. Plex has 4 movie channels.

Seriously, there are only about 4 internet channels worth watching.

Fetch was ok when I had it in 2024-2025 but I wasnt watching any of the paid channels so I decided to cancel my subscription in early 2026. This also meant I couldn't access free to air without paying around $25 a month!!! I was forced into buying all these channels I wasn't using. The extra channels were pretty much garbage anyway so the fetch is now basically useless. I'm going to now go with Hubbl as they allow you to watch free to air with no subscription.

Fetch TV was great value before it was transitioned from via our ISP iPrimus to dealing directly with Fetch. The price went up $9.99 per month. The only payment method is credit card, no option for direct debit or any other alternative. Customer service is only via a) the chat bot that takes you in circles with no useful answers, b) an online form that gives a generic email response that is also useless.
I have given up. By the time I pay the new monthly ongoing fees, I may as well purchase a new TV....! Not worth the bother of transitioning :⁠'⁠(

Hardly ever works. Start the box, restart, hangs. Dont bother a d dont waste your money

A nightmare of a service. First of all, the hardware itself is OK, but setting it up is a freakin nightmare. You cannot use it out of the box - you have to pay a $1 activation fee even for the free functionality. I've already spend hundreds of dollars for the hardware? Why do I need to spend $1 to activate? It makes no sense. Secondly when I bought it, and paid $1, I got an activation code, entered it and the box returned an error saying it was incorrect. Checked again and again, entered the code again and again - I entered the code EXACTLY - it was only 9 characters long. But no matter what, the box kept returning an error saying it was incorrect. Turns out, the box I had bought had already been activated by another owner who returned their box to the store. Factory resetting the box does not remove the old owner's registration! You have to do that manually in their online account management system! That is an incredibly stupid system - you have to contact their support chat to have them remove the old owner. Finally, FetchTV is not an open platform - if you want to see some niche TV show on a niche streaming service you're out of luck. You're only allowed to consume the options that FetchTV specifically allow.

I recommend don't bothering to try this out - go straight for an Apple TV or Android TV device.

Telstra TV is finished so they moved us to Fetch mini. What a hopeless system! Totally user unfriendly remote control and non intuitive operation.
Can’t find programs I have previously watched, the volume just goes off and you have to search online to get it back. No user support.
Totally frustrating system!

Worst piece of cr*p I’ve ever had the misfortune of wasting money on

The FetchTV boxes are a great piece of hardware that allow you to view/record free to air as well as streaming video services.

I have had 5 different boxes over the years and they have worked well.

This review, however, is not for the FetchTV boxes, but the fantastic service team that supports it.

I have had to use their service three times over the last couple of years and every time they have been prompt, polite and very helpful in getting my system back up and running.

A product is only as good as it’s follow up service. Keep up the great work guys.
