My initial seeds didn't grow and was my fault not surface sowing. Followed second batch of instructions completely out of 4 pkgs...2 plants. Seeds here are really expensive, only get maybe 10 seeds in pkg, shipping is pricey feel completely ripped off. More seeds should be given fid prices charged to allow for poor germination rate

Hi Janet. I'm glad we were able to connect by email. The seeds you chose are all 30 days seeds, so are not expected to be up yet, as it has been little over a week. Also, please do not use a heat mat for these seeds, they germinate at 20C, as indicated on the seed pack. They are all fresh new seeds, recently tested at 90-100% germination, so they are fully expected to grow with more time, and removal from the heat mat.
Great service, great seeds
I ordered banana tree (Ensete glaucum) seeds from Ferri Seeds and received them quickly. They started germinating within a few weeks.

Crumbled seeds
The oyster leaf seeds package contains 4-5 seeds. I couldn't tell because it was all crumbled. Only two seeds were intact. I don't even know if they would sprout because they seems so flat and dry.

Hi Grace. I'm sorry to hear the seeds were broken. Our packaging is padded so that usually doesn't happen. Customers are always welcome to contact us directly if this happens so we can fix it, and I don't see any direct messages from you, but we will be sending replacement seeds for you anyways.

I’ve bought in three different varieties of seed jewelweed would Astor and dotted mint I’ve had zero germination For the price and the shipping of the seats I think you should have germination. I have been throwing seeds for many years and West cost seeds I’ve always had germination. I don’t like writing bad reviews but I’m sorry it’s ridiculous and I don’t know I just it’s kind of sad. It’s really sad like the shipping is fine. I don’t have problems with the shipping but I can’t get the seeds to sprout. I follow the instructions and they don’t sprout

Hi Neil. I see your recent order for the Wood Aster and Dotted Mint. These seeds require cold stratification before they will grow, and by their nature, it is impossible for them to be up already as they should be just entering the cold period (fridge). It is not too late for them as they are fresh seeds, and just need the specific care. Please see the growing information on our website, and also on the seed pack. I'm not sure when the Touch Me Not seeds were planted as they were ordered over a year ago and need to be planted right away as they are short lived seeds and may not be viable now. They also require the cold stratification. Cold stratification is a built-in requirement for many perennial seeds, as it replicates nature, a cold winter, and the following warm 'spring' is the time to grow. Customers are always welcome to contact us directly if there are any germination questions or concerns, and we are happy to help.
Great Company
I ordered several seeds packets from Ferri Seeds and they all arrived in a safe little box, with each type in a plastic baggie or glossy paper pouch. The seeds were good quality and some have already germinated! I had a question as a follow up and they responded over the weekend! Would buy from them again in the future.

One of my favorite online seed companies to order from. Super fast shipping, great packaging and terrific product selection. I usually have fairly good germination rate as well. I just wish there were a few more seeds per packet to have a better chance on receiving at least one viable seed :)

Better Buying Local
I was looking for a local, reputable company to buy seeds from and was very pleasantly surprised at their selection and pricing. I found more on this site than I could on bigger name brands. I’m very pleased to be able to have gotten exactly what I wanted and not have to compromise with a bigger company. Will definitely be purchasing again, especially love the more rare varieties offered.

Quality - not quantity
Seeds arrived carefully packed; USDA standards had to be met for this product, so I was glad the company dealt with that.
I was a little shocked there were only six (6) seeds in the packet. I understand - this species is endangered - but if the listing gave this information, I missed it.
Now, fingers crossed for germination.

Disappointed
This is the only time I will use this company.
I was very disappointed in the quantity of seeds.
I received less than 20 seeds. Being a seasoned gardener i never looked at the information provided as the photo takes up 1/2 the page... so i didn't scroll down for further information. Had I done that I would have seen the meager quantity and looked somewhere else...
Floribunda which also sells hard to find seeds at 100 per package.
Also they carry the same photo for 2 different columbines. I am hoping that I got the one I bought.

Sorry it took a couple of hours for us to reply, as it is busy season we were preparing customer orders for today's mail run. The company you mentioned does not carry the seeds that you bought from us. Nevertheless, if you no longer want the pack of seeds that you ordered let us know. Regarding the images, sorry for the confusion, the 2 items are almost identical (Columbine Bordeaux Barlow and Columbine Ruby Port).

I have a “wild “ garden , and love to bring in grasses and flowers with the unique shapes and subtle colours I see in nature. My plant references are often gardens in the UK and Europe where there is a tremendous diversity of plants available, that were previously not accessible in Canada .
