I’ve been using Fat Llama for years and the overall service and network is excellent.

However, the app is awful. Constantly buggy, and they don’t seem to be trying to fix it (it’s been buggy for years). For the fees they charge, the users deserve to have an app that works.

Quick and easy. Intuitive interface and rented from a nice guy who gave me quick instructions on how to use the rented equipment.

I have used their service several times before I write the review. The users are verified and can be trusted. The lenders and users are on record gear is good too. The lenders have been really professional to deal with. We are a group of 8 videographers and our only place to rent gear from is here.

It was a pleasant experience renting a camera equipment in London. The platform is really simple to use - Search what you want and look for different lenders to suit your dates and happy renting.

It was my first time using Fat Llama - and, oh! I rented out a camera for just $10 and it was worth it. Made my day. Very user-friendly, and great communication with lenders. Would recommend Fat Llama for Torontonians!

Fat llama is a great service to society. You can rent tools and accessories that would otherwise have to be bought and used only once. And in the process, you meet great people.

Very safety app to get a rent in both ways, when you need something, or when you have something to rent. Highly recommend!

It's crucial to choose reliable providers and demand quality and transparency in services. I cannot recommend this service due to its lack of quality and poor customer service. Furthermore, the company seems to endorse suppliers of items who are not serious, failing to meet the information displayed in their profiles, and also expressing mistrust towards foreign clients. It's better to seek more reliable and respectable alternatives that prioritize customer satisfaction and offer an adequate level of quality and professionalism.

Great site, easy to use

Easy, straight forward, the entire experience was very streamlined and fuss free. I really enjoyed the whole process (perhaps I was lucky and had a very nice renter as my first experience). Nonetheless, this appears to be a wholesome platform which I aim to continue to use going forward.

Really easy and efficient way to rent things. I got a set of CDJs at short notice for a party and even found someone close enough to deliver them and pick them up the following day.

Takes 10 years to get verified, all the while, they're holding your money. Really terrible service, the lender was happy, I had paid my money and over the course of several emails sent 6 (yes, six) forms of identification, to the point where it was instrusive and still they didn't verify me. I've read reviews mentioning a 10minute interrogative phone call - thankfully I cancelled before that, already 48hours into the '1 hour' verification process. Avoid.

Safe, friendly, and straightforward. The website was easy to use and not at all clunky. 10/10

This is a useful service, but the website is very slow and the notifications that you have a new message are erratic, to say the least. I only knew the hirer had responded by logging in and constantly refreshing the Inbox page.

When you need something that you can’t justify owning long term, or just want to try something for a day or week….
Give this a try.

Total disaster when it comes to paperwork
When you rent something you go on the rental press "Invoice" button and you are provided with a proper invoice what you rent how much money you spent how much charges was deducted VAT etc.

BUT when you rent out something you are getting email that you receive some money and of course the button "Invoice" does not exist anymore
Than comes the support who is hiding behind a made up name and every single email is made like it comes from a different person which completely refuse to cooperate and help you with whatever you are supposed to receive by LAW !!!!
I am shoked how they manage to survive so much time with such bad paperwork.

When it comes to accounting it is just like polite version of "You got some money so you keep your head down and do not ask question we are not going to help you anyway"

It's a very useful website in that it gives you a lot of options around you who are renting their gear. I had a large selection to choose from!

The only issue is that it took way longer for them to verify my ID (they give an estimate of an hour, and when that came and went, I had to reach out to them to speed up the process).

Total waste of time

Tried to set up to rent a lens but they wouldnt accep a credit card statement as proof of address even though it fitted all their requirements

It was my first experience and it went quite well.
