Beware of this company
I ordered a fascinator for a wedding. It came but was the wrong colour for my outfit. I immediately resealed the box ready for its return. The item was in perfect condition. The refund was processed with £5 less than was originally paid. I politely questioned why this had occurred and was told ‘it was withheld to cover work needed to restore the item to a saleable condition’
I was taken aback by this as I knew it was perfect. I questioned this with Daniel but got no reply. I have been in touch by email and written letter but have been totally ignored. I find this disgraceful customer care and as this is such a small amount of money I now feel it is not about the money but the principle of the matter. If £5 was withheld from other people it would be a nice little earner.
In principle this company have taken my money without consent. As they are not contacting me with evidence of what they have accused me of they are working against the law.

Hi
When we occasionally receive items back that are in used condition, we do have to withhold an appropriate amount from the refund to reflect the costs caused to us.
This practice of buying, wearing and then claiming a full refund is called 'wardrobing'. We don't pass this cost (i.e. of a free hire service) onto our honest customers but rather withhold money from refunds. I hope you agree that this is the correct thing to do.
In other cases, customers try items on and mark them with makeup or return items in a weak box that is crushed - again, we make an appropriate reduction of the refund to cover the costs.
All of this is covered in our returns policies and is agreed to by our customers when they place orders.

I was looking for a hat for my son's wedding which was in silver and didn't look too frumpy! This one is perfect! Arrived quickly by Royal Mail in a box marked fragile. Great service. Very happy and looking forward to wearing it!

Colour matching
Colour matching. I wanted a fascinator to match my outfit. The colours on the website were clear, but it was difficult to ensure a match on the screen. I was able to send a sample and was given good advice on colour matching. The item arrived in good time.
