An order for Honda Element oxygen sensor was placed with hondaoemdiscountparts.com, on 04/08/2025, and on Apr 15 a follow-up email was sent to check the status of the order and later phone call was made to follow up the late order delivery. Later around April 21 the part was received, and I was charged 132.50 plus 8.93 dollars for shipping and handling. I received a Denso for original Honda art, that I could buy for 83 dollars from Parts Geek. Originally, the check engine light was for P0135 code, 'malfunction in the heater circuit of the pre-catalyst oxygen (O2) sensor' and when I installed the new oxygen sensor, I received an additional malfunction code, P1172, problem with rich air/fuel mixture!
I put the old oxygen sensor back then code P1172 was gone, but code P0135 remained. With the new O2 sensor reinstalled, I drove the car for a few days, hoping to give the system a chance for a possible reset! However, both codes remained, with check engine light on.
Today, I called the part department to see if I can get an exchange for the defective oxygen sensor received, I got nonsense reply and made up procedures that didn't make sense to an old experienced mechanic that I am, The person I talked to, refused to replace the defective part, then he hanged up on me after I told him I will reflect my experience with the company on the net. To make it very short, I will never deal with these people again, for their untimely fulfillment, after market part for OEM, defective part, poor customer services and dishonesty. I have been purchasing perfume from…

I have been purchasing perfume from Jomashop for years. I have made 2 EXTEND claims (Aug 2024 & Dec 2024), and now I am being accused of fraud by them. When I asked whey they responded “Our priority is to ensure the integrity of our processes and protect the interests of all our customers. We assure you that our decision was made after careful consideration of all available information based on the information you provided during the claim process (supportive documentation, photographs, receipts, etc. to support your claim) and certain indicators of fraud found while reviewing your claim.”. Now mind you, the claims were several months ago but I purchased several orders since then with no claims and they canceled all the protection plans of these orders that I never made a claim on and said they detected fraud. How is that possible?! If you buy from Jomashop, you are aware of their packaging problems. They said I could not purchase their protection plans again and canceled all of my warranties. My daughter who also buys from Jomashop, was told by them they detected fraud since she filed on two broken perfumes she received from Jomashop. I guess they want you to buy the protection, but the minute you file a claim, you are defrauding them. I find this accusation very offensive and will pursue further action.

So far not off to a good start

So far not off to a good start. I bought an extend.com warranty on a projector that is barely a year and a half old. I opened a claim 5 days ago. Fair enough it was on the weekend but the email response said i would hear back in "1 to 2 business days". We are on day #4 now. On Day #3, I called and got not help. "They're working on it" was all I got. I also sent an email and have heard nothing back.

Highly frustrating when they set an expectation for timing of resolution, don't meet it and then don't have the courtesy to respond.

Update:
Then they got back to me via an auto-email to inform me that my claim was denied because I have a manufacturer warranty. I was told by the merchant that extend ran concurrent to the manufacturer warranty which is the only reason why I purchased it. Now they want me to ship it to China for repair. The manufacturer of this machine does not have a good reputation and I wanted peace of mind which isn't something I have gotten. I have nonfunctioning $3k machine that is only a year and a half old. Do not go with extend.com. They will weasel out of replacing the defective product.

I had never heard of Extend before

I had never heard of Extend before. I ordered brake pads from a Porsche dealership in Deleware. When they arrived that had been packed improperly and were damaged. I was told by the dealership to file a claim with Extend and they sent me a link. I opened a claim and told my story and provided some photos. Within days I was sent a virtual Visa card to order replacement pads. I was really impresssed. So next time if I see that my shipment is protected by Extend I'll know I'm covered.

I had to make a claim and with in 15 minutes they had resolved it 100 percent, for the cost I would definitely use it. I don't worry about it arriving.

I couldn't use the virtual card they send me on email... try calling so many time for them to say it's been escalated to the higher up and I will get a call back within 3 days... 3 days go by nothing, call again to get the same answer.... as of now still waiting

Be aware if lost item is part of a larger order, but shipped separately.

I’d recommend being aware that shipping may not be covered if the lost item is part of a larger order that qualified for free shipping, but was sent separately. The claims process is fast, but you may not be able to get an exact replacement of the item purchased. They will pay you what you paid though. You can’t use the card to replace your item because they don’t include shipping in certain circumstances. If your order was large enough for free shipping, like mine, but the vendor sends the products in separate shipments and one never arrives-you won’t be able to replace your item because of the shipping fees. I called to inquire about this. The agent was nice, but ultimately, unhelpful because she couldn’t include the shipping costs. So here I am stuck with a virtual card that I can’t use. I’ve tried to add it to PayPal so I could split the payment— I’d be willing to just pay the shipping myself—not possible! What I thought I was doing was protecting myself and if something happened I would get a replacement. A replacement means the item, the shipping fees, and the insurance on the replacement. I bought products from Jomashop and that’s why I bought the protection. It’s the ONLY vendor where my packages—out of hundreds or maybe even thousands of packages—go missing in the mail. It’s happened twice in the last 3 months. Out of 4 orders, 2 have gotten lost in transit.

Update: I was able to find another less expensive item in place of the original item, and I will give credit to Extend for reaching out and taking this seriously. It isn’t their fault entirely, but it does seem like a process to resolve these types of situations should be put into place if your order is split into two packages, like mine, and one item won’t qualify for free shipping. I do appreciate that they responded and followed up. I updated to 4 stars since they did try to make this right.

I filed a extended warranty claim on my grill hood because one of the parts broke. Extend processed my claim and paid for the damage. Very easy process with no hassles whatsoever.

This has been so stressful

Welp. I’m back to make yet another review, but this time I’m really angry.
While I was praising the lady Catalina on my previous review I come to find out today that she COULD have helped me! I’ve been trying to get a refund to my original form of payment for a month. I was told today that the virtual gift card they sent to me could be transferred into a different card so I could transfer the funds to my bank by using the routing number. Perfect right!?? Absolutely TF not because guess what…it’s been “two long” it’s been “three weeks” since they issued the card. Mind you, I’ve called them as soon as I got the card but Extend told me over and over and over again they could not refund my money because they don’t have the original form of payment. This has been a nightmare. I’m thinking do I have to go to small claims court?? All over a damn 600.00 chaise? This experience has had my anxiety up for weeks. I just don’t understand how hard it is. The shipment was damaged. I’m not gonna be able to use it. Refund me my money! I didn’t do anything wrong. I followed all the rules. This is truly sad.

My claim was rejected by AI and closed….

My claim was rejected and automatically closed twice due to an AI that wrongfully flagged my claim as “cosmetic damage” I called in multiple times and the representatives were very unhelpful. It took six weeks to resolve my claim and multiple calls, I am waiting for them to resolve another issue on their end where they only credited me $160 for a $400 ring that they are supposed to be replacing

Terrible service

Terrible service. I never received my package and they only want to issue me a virtual card to use at the same merchant that I never received my package from. Not willing to give my actual money back. High disappointed.

I can’t speak positively enough!

I can’t speak positively enough about the fabulous customer service I received from Extend. They went above and beyond to secure my replacement product even though the product’s company was not helpful. I absolutely would buy an Extend warranty again (and I did)!
