I had a localised gum inflammation following a crown that wouldn't settle. I was looking for a second opinion and tried Dental Elleven.
Turns out Dr Sameer Patel is a profit-driven salesman in dental scrubs. He took x-rays without showing me what was going on or explaining anything. Before I left he handed me a treatment plan with multiple appointments and several hundred pounds which I obvious cancelled the next day and looked for another dentist.
Sameer isn't interested in your dental health, he's interested in how much dentistry he can extract from you.
A month later, I got a recall reminder for my dental hygiene visit. I had only been a months ago. Turns out, this place is upselling dental hygiene visit too.

Shocking place! If you are looking for a genuinely good dentist who really cares about your dental health, check out Dr Raul Costa or Dr Charlie Steere. All I needed was a bit of a deep clean around the gums and it's all healed up now.

My child had good braces and hygiene visits but there's a LOT of hard selling which I didn't like. When I said I didn't want the entirely unnecessary jaw-breaking next steps, they got the surgeon to omit me and write only to my ex husband trying to persuade him to move forward. Hmmmm. V dodgy. Obviously the answer is a hard no.
