I purchased a property with Elite Law managing the purchase for me.
All I can recommend is that you do not use this firm to buy a property.
My file was managed by an external consultant. Communication was ok to start with and we were all agreed to move towards a faster completion which was agreed with the solicitor, but two days before the completion date, she went quiet and I got an email from her assistant telling me we couldn’t exchange the following day. At this point, 25 further enquiries were sent to the vendor.
I got no explanation or apology and had to escalate to a director. We actually completed over 3 weeks later.
When following up afterwards to secure a discount, I was told that I had been in touch too often - they didn’t question as to why - I lost confidence in their ability and had to work far too hard to get information.
The agent and the vendor’s solicitor are shocked by the lack of professionalism and communication throughout.
Elite Law made this a far more stressful experience than it normally would be and I’m disgusted by the solicitor who then simply ghosted me and handed me over to her assistant. It’s embarrassing. Do not use them.

We had an excellent experience with Elite Law - this was the second time we used Jenny Page and her team at the Hitchin Office and found them highly communicative and responsive and always willing to go the extra mile - especially staying late on a Friday night to get a house exchange done. We used Elite Law for the sale of our property, and I cannot thank Joseph Lewis and Mia Taylor enough for the way they handled what became an extremely difficult and stressful transaction. Our sale was anything but straightforward. There were repeated delays from the other side, unclear timescales, lender-related issues, and a huge amount of uncertainty around exchange and completion. At times, we were living out of suitcases, had belongings in storage, and were under real pressure trying to plan our lives around dates that kept moving. Throughout all of this, Joseph and Mia were calm, professional, responsive and genuinely supportive. They chased when needed, explained things clearly, kept us updated, and did everything they could to push the matter forward. Joseph in particular went above and beyond at key moments, including dealing with late updates and trying to get clarity when exchange was expected. What stood out most was that they treated us like people, not just another file. They understood how much stress the situation was causing and helped us feel that someone was actually fighting our corner. I would happily recommend Elite Law, and especially Joseph and Mia, to anyone looking for a conveyancing team who are responsive, proactive and human when things become difficult. A huge thank you to both of them for getting us through it.

By far the worst solicitor I've ever had the displeasure of working with. Refusing to even have a single conversation, most solicitors would offer you this before you've even paid. As uncooperative and uncommunicative as they can get.

Don't be fooled by lower costs, it's full of hidden fees that add up very quickly and surpass the costs of other firms. In the end, I had to change solicitor and my new one is so much better. Don't think "they're all like this" because they're not. Save yourself the trouble.

Do not use for conveyancing and especially if you’re new to it. Very unhelpful, plenty of mistakes in documentation and constant additional costs that were not included on the original quote for fairly standard services. They nearly cost us the whole process by wrongly calculating the final bill. Would not recommend to anyone.

Elite Law handled the conveyancing for both my sale and purchase, and the service throughout was excellent. Maxine and Erin managed the entire process efficiently, with no fuss or delay.

Communication was always prompt, and we were kept fully informed at every stage. Although our transaction wasn’t the most straightforward, their professionalism and consistency never wavered.

Based on my experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Elite Law for conveyancing services.

On a recent house move the estate agent recommended Elite Law Solicitors, we was nervous at first, they assigned Holly as our conveyance solicitor and we shouldn’t have worried, Holly was amazing, she guided us through our house sale with ease there was little stress and her communication was spot on. Exceptional service from Elite Law. We were recommended to use Elite Law for our house sale and purchase. In the past we have struggled with solicitors, as there is no sense of urgency from many companies. Elite Law were a breath of fresh air. From the very start they were efficient and always on hand to answer queries. We even received some email correspondence on weekends and in evenings which is unheard of for solicitors. I don't think we ever waited more than 24 hours for a response and most responses came within a few hours of us sending our queries. Everyone who we received correspondence from Elite Law was polite, efficient and professional - however particular thanks goes to Lauren Ward ( Conveyancing Executive) and Isabel Rhodes (Trainee Paralegal) who were exceptional in the service they gave us. All replies were prompt, professional and every step was explained clearly and we understood everything we received. They were efficient and thorough, and our whole house move and sale was completed within one month. We couldn't believe it - yes we were purchasing a new build so no onward change however to complete within a month is unheard of and we couldn't have been more impressed. I had a frustrating and concerning experience with this firm and strongly advise prospective clients to avoid them at all costs.
I am waiting for 2 full weeks for an initial call from the solicitors, who now saying that I have to accept the engagement, prior to speaking with the solicitors.
This is, in my opinion, a very poor and potentially exploitative practice. It seems designed to rope in clients who may sign the contract without having had a basic conversation to gauge the firm's competence or suitability.
Focus on Sales, Not Service
The firm appears to prioritise sales over quality legal service. They have a "Business Development Manager" who is, in essence, a salesperson focused on securing clients. However, the quality of the actual solicitors and their ability to provide timely, professional service is severely lacking.

Had an amazing experience with Emma Leighton-Carey when purchasing our next home. Went through in an exceptionally fast timeline, very clear communication and very fast to act. Was able to get hold of her whenever I needed to via telephone and the fees were clear and transparent from the start. Will certainly use again and could not recommend highly enough. I work with conveyancers on a daily basis with my job and Emma is the best by far. Exceptional!

Elite Law initially provided a low fee estimate to win my business, then systematically added extra charges throughout the process, resulting in final fees far exceeding the original quote. Communication was appalling emails were often ignored or met with out-of-office replies, and both myself and the other parties involved had to constantly chase them just to receive a response. Most concerningly, they failed to inform me of critical transactional details, directly causing a substantial financial loss. The experience has been marked by poor transparency, lack of professionalism, and complete disregard for client care. This firm has caused me serious stress and regret. Do yourself a favour and take your business elsewhere.

Avoid this Alleged Law Firm..A very serious and a very damaging also a damning case of a show by this so called law firm..Millions of Pounds worth of a Will they tried to defend totally mishandled, ethically wrong yet they didnt mind occurring a huge amount of court cost which they ended up in the losing side. They couldn't even defend their own mistake but yet tried to defend themselves to avoid any court fees they occurred. Its sad to even think some people yet may put their trust in this firm..
