Excellent Service from Angel – A Great First Car Buying Experience
I had a fantastic experience buying my first car from Eden Vauxhall Reading.
I purchased a Nissan Micra N-Sport, which was in excellent condition, had low mileage and was very competitively priced. The whole process was quick, professional and straightforward.
Angel looked after me throughout the purchase and was brilliant. I already knew which car I wanted, but she took the time to explain everything clearly, including the finance and policy options, and made sure I understood everything before making a decision. She was patient while I made phone calls and never made me feel rushed or pressured.
The purchase took around 48 hours to complete, and throughout that time Angel kept in touch and checked in with me to make sure everything was going smoothly. It really felt like she cared about providing great customer service rather than just making a sale.
Everyone at the dealership was friendly and welcoming, and I'd happily recommend Eden Vauxhall Reading to anyone looking for a car.
Thank you again to Angel and the team!

Not the best first experience of Eden…
Not the best first experience of Eden Hyundai Wokingham.
So I went over with full intentions of looking to buy a new Ionic 5N. I was made aware that there was one on the forecourt that I could look at, so drove over.
Firstly, great to hear a number of people getting a proper rollocking in hearing distant of customers and second, then being told you actually cannot see the car as it cannot be moved.
Shame, I'll have to go elsewhere.....
Great people. A great deal and a beautiful car
From my initial web enquiry on a Mazda CX80, to getting a detailed video of the car, to agreeing a deal and collecting an immaculately prepared car all in the same week! Josh and Simon at Eden Mazda were absolutely brilliant to deal with. Two proper guys with great communication and great personalities. I can't tell you how good the experience was. If you are looking for a Mazda anytime make sure you call them. They will look after you on a different level. Thanks again, the car is awesome

Another visit to Eden Bicester, once again all the helpful and kind staff, Mellisa at the reception is helpful and advises in case of any problems
I had my vehicle booked in for a basic…
I had my vehicle booked in for a basic service and MOT, and what should have been a straightforward visit turned into an incredibly frustrating experience.
The vehicle was with Eden Vauxhall Swindon for three days, which is completely unacceptable for a routine service and MOT. I understand that additional work needed authorisation via a third-party link for a tyre and replacement discs and pads, but this process resulted in an 8-hour delay and ultimately caused me to lose two days of work due to the lack of communication and efficiency.
Throughout the process, I repeatedly had to chase for updates as nobody called me back despite promises to do so. To make matters worse, when I finally managed to speak to the service adviser, they hung up on me mid-conversation.
I then escalated my concerns to the service manager, hoping for a more professional response. Unfortunately, the manager was equally disappointing. Rather than addressing my concerns, they were rude and accused me of shouting, using this as justification for the adviser ending the call. At no point was any genuine effort made to resolve the situation or acknowledge the poor customer service I had received.
Perhaps most unbelievable was being told that they do not have a contact number for the company responsible for authorising repairs. Having previously worked as a service adviser myself, I know this explanation is simply not credible. It felt like an excuse rather than a genuine reason for the excessive delays.
The entire experience was characterised by poor communication, a lack of customer care, and unprofessional behaviour. I would not recommend Eden Vauxhall Swindon based on my experience, and I will seriously consider using another dealership in the future.
Terrible Company
Terrible company, terrible communication, months late on vehicle with no delivery in sight, never receive any updates, phoned every day for 3 weeks now and no one answers or just gets hung up on, coincidentally radio silent after stating I want to cancel and get a refund. Rakesh, pick up the phone or answer my emails.

Luca at Reading branch was very professional, friendly and efficient and my car was done very quickly. Very impressed with the service today. 😊
Never ever buy a used car from here absolute scammers
Hello,
If I could it would be negative 1 worst experience ever from a dealership. I brought 4 Vauxhalls and this one is the worst car I’ve ever had
So I brought a Vauxhall mokka from your Reading branch and angel sold me the mokka sale went all good, I felt like I was being forced into buying the car as I wanted to go back home and think about and come back again very pushy sales. I received the car in a filthy and unusable state when I got the car.
Until the problems of the car has started to show in less than a day of ownership of the car it had multiple body work issues and a gearbox and engine failure I took it into the garage and it was ment to be fixed. A day later it happened again. I took the car into the garage for the same engine and gearbox failure issues multiple more times.
I asked if I could swap the car for a different one they said I can so I chose one and they told me that I have to pay an extra £464 and it’s £374 an month in finance and they will keep the deposit from my mokka so I would of wasted £3500.00 of my deposit for my mokka and I would have to start over again as they valued my car at £11,000.
I didn’t want to part exchange the car. I wanted to swap it for another car or a full refund as it’s under warranty.
I brought it from them for £14,869
They are the most money grabbing scammers I’ve ever met.
I got told it would be the same offer I already had and I just had to pay the extra amount for the new car which was fine in cash not financing
I pay £266.80 a month finance.
The car still has gearbox and engine failure issues.
I’ve lost confidence of this car I don’t want it to be repaired or swapped anymore, I want to return the car for a refund and I’ll go somewhere else who cares and values there customers and not ripping them off over thousands of pounds.
I just want to return the car back to them and get a full refund
Get this sorted with me asap soon as possible
If not sorted out I will take legal action.
Avoid Eden Vauxhall Reading. Absolutely disgusting.
Poor vehicle quality and unacceptable management attitude – Eden Hyundai Reading
Title: Poor vehicle quality and unacceptable management attitude – Eden Hyundai Reading
Rating: 1 Star
"I am sharing my experience regarding a vehicle purchased from Eden Hyundai Reading on 5th June 2026.
Since taking delivery, the car has suffered from a persistent mechanical fault with the clutch pedal. Despite multiple service visits to address this, the issue remains unresolved, and the vehicle is not performing as expected.
Matters were made significantly worse when, following a service visit on 2nd July, the car was returned to us with new bodywork damage on the driver's door that was not present when it was handed over to the dealership. When I raised this with the Customer Service Manager, Carl, he dismissively suggested the damage could have occurred in a supermarket car park. When I pointed out that the vehicle was in their care at the time, his response was to tell me that 'that’s what paint plans are for'—effectively suggesting we should use our own protection plan to cover damage caused by the dealership's own negligence.
This lack of accountability and the unprofessional way we have been treated is completely unacceptable after a £24,000 purchase. We are currently seeking a formal resolution, but I would strongly advise other potential customers to be extremely cautious when dealing with the service department at this branch."
Easy to organise car service.
I had my car serviced last week. It was easy to organise, was serviced quickly and at a time that suited me.
Thanks a lot
Good service
A good experience generally with friendliness and professionalism in just the right amount.
Two very nice people, Aardam and Jemma served us well when we recently bought a Hyundai car from Eden.
Helpful when needed and very polite.
Charged more than quoted and pretended to give complementary additions
Brought car in for service, was quoted 1 price but when collected it had magically increased 3 times that because they are not Vauxhall??? But despite showing email confirmation with price they refused to accept it would be done at that price.
Also put on the receipt car had a wash and vac, cars by no means anywhere near had that, makes you wonder what else they said they will do and don’t!
Avoid, take car to a better garage or even better don’t buy Vauxhall.
I DO NOT recommend Eden Mazda
I DO NOT recommend Eden Mazda. I called Eden Mazda Exeter last Friday to discuss a car I was interested in and we agreed a price subject to seeing and driving the car. A second call followed and a deposit was paid. I visited the dealership on the following Tuesday to complete the purchase and as part of that process I noticed that a £169 administration fee had been added to the invoice which I queried as this was not included in either the car listing and had not be mentioned on either of the two calls. The sale assistant said that this was a mandatory addition that was applied by Eden to all car sales and could not be removed. I said that this was the first time I had been made aware of this and the reply was that I should have been made aware of it on the calls but in any event, it was clearly stated on the Eden website. I looked at a couple of their car listings, and the Eden website more generally, and could find no mention of an administration fee let alone the value. I asked the sales assistant to show me where it was on their website and eventually he admitted that he couldn’t find it either but that the additional charge would still stand. I pointed out that this was Misrepresentation and against Trading Standards and was not something I would expect to experience from a main dealer franchise. He agreed and apologised but said that the additional charge would not be removed and that I had to pay it. Subsequently I have looked on the Eden Mazda website and there is no mention of an administration fee. There is however a link on their website to ‘Terms’ (and conditions of sale) however this is only populated with nonsense ‘Lorem Ipsum’ text which is used by website developers to fill space. Overall an absolutely appalling experience. And finally, I note that they sing loudly about the ‘Eden Promise’ – maybe they should add ‘fleecing customers with spurious charges’.
Daniel Edgington and Allan Ball were…
Daniel Edgington and Allan Ball were so friendly and very helpful when we had a problem with our car today. very greatful to them both of them for the help and advice they gave.
Glad we bought our car from Eden Banbury
Look out for hidden costs!Buyer beware and check your invoice…
Buyer beware and check your invoice when buying a vehicle from this group. I visited a showroom to buy a car at £18.795. I paid the deposit and while then going through the final invoice with me the salesman pointed out my £169 admin fee. I asked what this was for as I have purchased many cars for my business over the years and have never paid this fee. The fee was for the Hpi check, which I would expect from a dealership, I could do my own for £3.00 and ensuring my car is clean before buying it. I said that I would not pay this fee as it was not advertised, if the price on the windscreen had said £18,795 plus £169 admin, I would have but to sneak it in after the deposit has been paid was immoral. The dealership would not remove this fee so I asked for my deposit back and left. Since that day I have visited many other dealerships and before I drive a car I ask if there is an admin fee if I buy, not one dealership since has said they charge a fee. I would never use the Eden group again until they are more transparent about their hidden add-ons
Evasive
Waste of time. Untrustworthy, refusing to answer direct questions.
My Question to Eden in Fareham about an EV car: "What is the result of your battery test? Do you have a certificate?"
Eden's reply: "If you would like to contact us to arrange a suitable date and time to visit us so you can view this car and to enable us to discuss your requirements further."
So no, they haven't done a battery test, haven't got a certificate and wish to change the subject. I'll cross the Eden Motor Group off my list.
Useless.
Vauxhall Eden Torbay
Vauxhall Eden Torbay
I hate to write a negative review, however I’ve been very disappointed with the service from Eden Vauxhall Torbay.
My company car was due for a service, and before dropping it off I asked if tyres could be changed. I explained that the offside rear tyre had a clearly visible nail in it, causing the air pressure to slowly drop and repeatedly trigger the warning light. When I collected the car, I was told there was “nothing wrong” with the tyre and advised to go to Kwik Fit instead, I felt parred off.
This meant arranging a second appointment, which is difficult as I rely on my car for work and can’t easily leave it in garages for a full day. Kwik Fit were unable to replace the tyre because the locking wheel nut was missing, I arrange another appointment with Eden Vauxhall to have this resolved.
At this appointment, I asked if the tyre could finally be replaced and also mentioned that the service light had been left on after the previous visit. I felt one receptionist was slightly combative in her response, stating tyres are only changed “if needed” and “if in stock.” Another receptionist was helpful and explained that if the tyre wasn’t available, it could be ordered for the next day if I was happy to leave the car overnight, which I was.
I collected the car today and, while I appreciate that the locking wheel issue was fixed, the tyre I have been concerned about for over a month was still left on the vehicle. I was again told the tyre pressure was “fine,” despite the warning light being on when I handed them the car yesterday. It feels as though the tyre was simply pumped back up rather than properly dealt with.
This raises genuine safety concerns for me, as I will need to keep pumping the tire up till my kwikifit booking. Overall, I felt unheard and frustrated throughout the process. The experience left me feeling as though, because it’s a company car and not one purchased from themselves, the bare minimum was done and quickly get the cars through the service.
Eden Exeter
I purchased a vehicle from Eden Vauxhall on 24th April 2026. Initially, my experience was positive, and the salesperson was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill after I brought the vehicle home.
Within a week of ownership, I discovered several issues with the car. The passenger-side window was not working, the start-stop system was not functioning, and one of the rear lights was heavily condensated with water inside it.
As the vehicle came with a 3-month warranty, I contacted the dealership to arrange an inspection. However, it took around two weeks to get the car booked in due to slow email responses and repeated promises of call-backs that never happened.
When I finally took the car in, I was initially told by the salesperson that the vehicle would only be needed for around two hours. Upon arrival, the service department advised they would need it for the entire day, which was absolutely fine. However, by 5pm I still hadn't heard anything and had to call myself to find out whether the vehicle was ready for collection.
When I collected the car, the service team explained the faults and advised that warranty claims would need to be submitted. I accepted this and was told I would receive an update on the following Monday. That update never came. By Thursday, I still hadn't heard anything and once again had to chase the dealership myself. As has become a recurring theme, I was repeatedly told that someone would call me back, but nobody ever did.
Eventually, after continually chasing for updates, I was informed that the warranty company had agreed to repair the faulty window but had declined the claims for the start-stop system and the rear light.
What is particularly frustrating is that the rear light issue appears to have been present before I purchased the vehicle. Looking back at photographs taken on the day of collection, the condensation is clearly visible. Given that the vehicle had recently passed an MOT, I find it concerning that this was not identified or recorded as an advisory.
I was also informed that the start-stop system was not working because the battery required charging. In my opinion, this is something that should have been checked and rectified before the vehicle was handed over to a customer.
There were also inconsistencies regarding the vehicle's service history. During the sale, I was told the car had been serviced approximately one month earlier by a garage in Willand and that the dealership would have to service it again. However, when reviewing the service book, I found no stamp to support this. The most recent stamp was from Eden Vauxhall, despite being told they had not carried out the service.
In addition, I was advised that the cambelt would replaced at around 60,000 miles, yet I have received no documentation confirming that this work has been completed which I would expect to see on my service book but there is nothing.
To this day, we are still trying to obtain answers from Eden Vauxhall Exeter regarding these issues. Unfortunately, every enquiry seems to result in the same response: "Someone will call you back" — and they never do.
The vehicle itself may be fine once the issues are resolved, but the aftersales service and communication have been extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Eden Vauxhall.
