Excellent technical support staff

Excellent technical support staff. Very responsive and pleasant to interact with. I've been with EWH for several years, have opened a few tickets, and every interaction has been friendly, professional, and helpful, even when I'm taking time from their weekends!

I’ve had a really positive experience…

I’ve had a really positive experience with Eco Web Hosting. Their support responses were incredibly quick, helpful, and professional throughout. I reported an issue yesterday, and the team had everything resolved within 12 hours, which was a fantastic turnaround.

Every interaction was polite, supportive, and reassuring, and it was clear they genuinely wanted to help get things sorted as quickly as possible.

Highly recommended if you value fast, professional support and a team that genuinely cares about helping their customers.

Excellent hosting company who actually care about their customers

Excellent hosting company. The support team at Eco Web Hosting are incredibly reactive, helpful, and genuinely focused on solving problems rather than constantly trying to upsell unnecessary extras.

Every time I’ve contacted them, You know you're speaking to real people who actually care about helping customers, not just pushing products. Fast responses, clear advice, reliable service, and no pressure sales tactics, which is rare these days.

Great support

Great support, been with these guys from the beginning when Rob was doing tutorials on a learning site and giving free hosting for completion. I guess that’s how they started. Since then they have come a long way and been through quite a few changes and the guys that are there now are very technical and certainly know exactly what they are doing as well as providing first class support. I would highly recommend Ecowebhosting, no hanging on the phone for hours trying to get through like some other companies I could mention (io…) or being held to ransom with contracts, servers are fast, email support is next to instant and prices are very reasonable, they are UK based and they are Eco friendly, their support is also extremely efficient, knowledgeable and personable. If you need hosting, a domain or even a cloud server then look no further.

Support from EWH

The support staff at EWH are outstanding! I know that if i have an urgent problem they will see to it quickly, precisely and explain all that has been done in a way that doesn't make me feel like an idiot. All of the sites I manage are hosted through EWH and I know they're in good hands.

After almost completely destroying my…

After almost completely destroying my business by dumping all my clients website on a completely inadequate server and breaking ALL of them. After more than 100 tickets and a month to get them almost working but really we are currently moving services.

Im currently 12 hours in to a support tickets unable to switch a website to active to be told " just switch it to active"

Honestly it's just funny at this point.

STAY AWAY. Another email outage since the migration to enmail. There is just announcement and no information as to what happened and what they did to avoid thin in the future.

Customer since they began, thinking of leaving

I have been a customer since they started up. Recently there have been more and more outages. Now, I know this happens BUT support is abysmal, they always reply with a basic 'pass the buck' response that offers no real help then you spend hours proving hte issue is at their end and they go silent. Suddenly the issue is fixed and all is expected to be ok with no real reason as to why which is leaving a lot of distrust with us.

It's getting to the point that it's a very unstable service and you knwo when you message support that it will take several messages before anyone will even vaguely help.

I raised a support request last night, I've had 2 of the same support responses and have sent over loads of information showing the issue is at their end. They haven't looked into it properly at all and have now just stopped responding to me. It's been 3 hours with no response and a site that has been down.

Had a similar issue a few days ago and they admitted it was their problem to fix but even with this information, they don't seem to be able or willing to fix it. I'm frustrated, customer is annoyed and I'm not sure I can continue to use them or recommend them anymore.

I’ve just recovered from another outage…

I’ve just recovered from another outage that lasted way longer than it should have.

Raising support tickets ended up with responses about packages and domains I hadn’t mentioned, which only alerted me to further problems. Ultimately it led to 24 hours with outage, because of an error which took 10 mins to fix once I got a support agent to actually *read* the ticket and not just respond to what they wanted. As this outage affected multiple of my sites, I saw the same (incorrect) copy and pasted response across them.

It then took further pushing to get to the reason for the outage.

I was offered 6 months of hosting free after the last set of issues - needless to say I’m off this time and have already started the process of moving to another provider.

Terrible experience transferring domain and website

It was easy opening a new account. However, everything else about transferring a domain and moving a self hosted website was a nightmare, and I'm far from a beginner.

Moving a .uk domain to them required the assistance of support, due to errors and omissions on the relevant page.

Then the welcome email was plain wrong - wrong links, wrong user details, wrong ftp host; the guides linked to in that email were different, but also wrong. Numerous mentions to cPanel to manage the domain/hosting, just plain wrong it turns out, cPanel is not used.

A job that should have taken 30 minutes took two hours of detective work, with no response from support during that time. To be fair Support have been polite and honest in admitting the failures, but too late to be of much help, and I shouldn't have needed them at all for such a simple task.

What documentation there is, is rife with errors and inconsistencies. Even once I fought my way through to a working site, some links on the dashboard are broken, and others work yet report that they didn't (if you're reading this, support, check out email forwarding). Tip for users: the most correct up-to-date information appears to be the knowledgebase link under "support" in the your client area home page.

It's also really unclear who one is dealing with. Ecowebhosting or Host Presto or somebody else? As with the technical matters, the various elements of documentation are muddled and contradictory. I paid for"ecowebhosting" but there is zero evidence that I have a distinct product with any sustainability credentials as ecowebhosting seems to be some sort of alias for Enix, a company that bought it earlier in the year. The "Green Cred" page on the website is over 2 years out of date and the "Monthly Sustainability Report" is a 404 page not found.

I've paid upfront for a year's hosting, alas, but I can't see any reason I would chose to pay for a second unless there are huge changes.

One star is just about merited because although the whole getting sorted business is terrible, the actual site seems to be working well. Also because zero stars isn't possible.

I AM ON THE VERGE OF LEAVING! Having problems almost on a daily basis with emails not always connecting. Clients receiving "digital signature isn't valid or trusted" messages. How long will this carry on for? EVERYTHING WAS FINE BEFORE THE UPGRADED SERVERS!
