Do not use Improvenergy Solutions Ltd

The company we used - improvenergy solutions ltd - have ruined our lives. First the work that supposedly was going to take three days wasn't finished by the second week. The builders - who could not speak English other than to demand food - left razors and nails in our beds and their work is so atrocious that seven months later we are still finding things they've damaged. They also did not clean up after themselves.

Every room in my home has been damaged in some way, and rendered unsafe for my disabled mother.

Mr Naveed - the company director- seems to be the worst sort of conman, like his workers he does not speak English, and lies constantly (about work that was supposed to be done and about how he's going to fix what's happened). He refuses to hand over his insurance, or the independent report which was failed.

This company is not suitable for any kind of scheme, let alone a scheme supposedly to help vulnerable people.

0000 Star Review: ECO4 Boiler Grants (Oldham) - A Total Nightmare, Avoid at All Costs
I am writing this review in the hope that no one else endures the appalling experience I have had with ECO4 Boiler Grants. From start to finish, it has been a catalogue of incompetence, rudeness, and broken promises.

THE PROCESS & INTRUSIVE SURVEYS:
Initially, a surveyor spent 3 hours taking pictures, which I understood. However, on installation day, another man arrived and conducted a second, utterly excessive "photo shoot" of every room and radiator, taking upwards of 15 pictures per room. This was hugely intrusive and disruptive for my family, feeling completely unnecessary.

THE INSTALLATION & UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT:
The Gas engineer, Dean Foster, asked to work past 5 pm to finish. Given the cold weather, I agreed. The work finished at 10 pm. While Mr., his attitude was unacceptable. He lacked basic courtesy when speaking to us and had loud, aggressive phone conversations outside our house on the road, which was embarrassing and unprofessional.

DESTRUCTIVE WORK & BROKEN PROMISES:
I specifically warned the team about my kitchen splashback glass, explaining that dust and dirty water from removing the old boiler could seep behind it and ruin the wallpaper. They dismissed me with a casual "yes, yes," and then, predictably, it happened. When I pointed out the mess they created, their response was, "it's not our job to clean." I was left to clean their filth, which has permanently stained the area.

DISHONESTY & UNPROFESSIONALISM FROM THE START:
The engineer, Dean Foster, repeatedly promised to refit a shelf in the airing cupboard after installation. Once the job was done, he changed his tune, saying, "I'm not a carpenter, you need to find one." This sums up their approach: make promises to placate you, then abandon all responsibility. Be honest! If you can't do a task, say so upfront. Don't lie to customers.

BROKEN PROMISES & LEFT JUNK:
It was agreed (and is a legal requirement of the grant) that all old components would be removed. They took the hot water cylinder but left TWO old water tanks in the loft and dumped the old boiler in my garden. They said "random people will pick it up.
FAULTY WORK & DANGEROUS ADVICE:
Since installation at the end of November, the boiler pressure drops daily. When I raised this, with Gas Engineer Mr Dean Foster's response was shocking: "It's a new boiler, it will take 6 months to sort out." He refused to visit and investigate. This is not acceptable for a paid professional and suggests a potentially serious issue.

TOTAL ADMINISTRATIVE FAILURE - NO CERTIFICATES:
This is the most serious failing. FIVE WEEKS after installation, Upon my own investigation, I discovered ECO4 Boiler Grants had not registered the work with Gas Safe or the boiler manufacturer. I have reported to gas officials already and they are doing an investigation.

FOLLOWING THEIR FAILURE TO ADDRESS THE DAILY PRESSURE LOSS, THE SITUATION ESCALATED TO SIGNIFICANT WATER DAMAGE IN MY PROPERTY.
• 27th/28th December: A water leak developed, dripping through my kitchen ceiling spotlight. I immediately contacted the engineer, Dean Foster. Despite the urgency, he dismissed my concerns with the same unprofessional excuse about the pressure issue "taking 6 months to sort out."

Appalling Customer Service:
The management, specifically a manager named Fahad, has been rude and dismissive. The office staff, Samiya and Sukayna, are utterly useless, failing to provide updates or action requests. My emails and calls are ignored. I even requested their formal complaint policy and was completely ignored. I called since end of december they did not answer my call.

Conclusion:
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have left a potentially faulty system, failed to provide legally required certification, dumped waste on my property, and treated me with contempt throughout. The rudeness from Fahad and the incompetence of the office staff complete a picture of a totally unprofessional outfit.
My advice to others: If you are facing similar issues, you must contact the official bodies. I will be reporting them to:
• Gas Safe Register:
• Ofgem (who administer the ECO4 scheme)
• Trading Standards
I regret ever engaging with ECO4 Boiler Grants. Save yourself the immense stress and look elsewhere.

Excellent communication from this business. From the initial enquiry it was a matter of weeks before we were having a new boiler installed. Very pleased with the work carried out.

Brilliant service from start to finish. Great bunch of workmen, and they had my new boiler installed in no time. Took away all the rubbish, and left everything tidy. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing service from start to finish
Came out and did a survey very quickly from my initial inquiry.
Helped me with the relevant paperwork needed .
Once the grant had been approved they were out the same week . Installed in one day with quality parts . Engineers very respectful of my home .
Top tier ! Well done guys ( and lady in the office who kept me in the loop throughout the grant process )

Great workers

The men that did the work were excellent, they removed an old back boiler and fire, fitted a new boiler in the airing cupboard, all of this done in a few hours.
Any mess or rubbish was cleaned up and removed, I’m very happy with their work and would recommend them to everyone

I had a great experience with one of their representatives, Hajar. They were very informative through the whole process and clearly set expectations. The work was completed quickly and efficiently by the people who came around who also explained everything they were doing, as they were doing it :)

A genuine service - no hesitation in recommending

New and efficient boiler and heating system working perfectly - I would definitely encourage anyone to apply via this company; Samiya handled the administration before, during and after the works; she was consistently courteous and professional. I had no heating but the team worked tirelessly over three days as there was a massive amount of work to do. It is absolutely wonderful to be warm again, thanks to all the work done. There was a slight issue with a small water leak from a pipe joint after a few days but to the company’s credit this was sorted out as quickly as possible (it wasn’t an emergency).

Thee most amazing team of professionals, everything was taking care of by ECO, I simply sat back and watched my family home being upgraded in 1 working. I can't thank ECO enough for how they have transformed my home.

Brilliant service

Brilliant service! Had boiler replacement due to no hot water, engineer went above & beyond not only replacing the boiler but fixing my gas and making sure everything was working properly. Very friendly and quick. Had some issues my end with getting the appt booked but office was very accommodating and helpful. All round 10/10 thank you very much!

My mum had a new heating system fitted they were very quick in responding and booking the work to be done they were very clean polite and got the work done efficiently and have had no problems with it all I would highly recommend them

What a excellent company this is from the first phone call to the completed job the customer service and communication was outstanding completely stress free the guys turned up on time and knew exactly what to do and talked me though everything they were doing they all worked so hard with no time wasting I can highly recommend this company they made a big job look easy I am so happy with the work they have done and all in one day these guys are amazing I can honestly say this is the best company I have ever dealt with so a massive thank you
