James, through the webinar, was able to quickly reveal the level I was at in my bass playing and the area I needed to address to improve. It was very informative, and he was willing to take time to address questions and provide clear explanations to improve my understanding of bass playing—excellent webinar whether you join the ebass course or not. Well worth investing in the time to join him.

Ebassguitar is simply a great site. I moved from Worship Drummer (after years) to bass guitar (no prior experience) The lessons are well designed and easy to follow. I can go back and review them as many times as I want. Customer service is outstanding. They are very responsive and resolve an issue quickly. In my case, there have only been two issues for customer service; they were both technical glitches that were easily resolved.

James' method is ideal for older learners no matter what stage you are at with your playing. His teaching is clear and well developed covering all aspects of the bass guitar from theory to technique, maintenance, equipment etc.
I find the courses to be reasonably priced and structured with the books being good value, there is also a wealth of free info and videos too.
There are no silly Insta/Facebook/Youtube presenter shenanigans either, just thoughtful and well presented.
If you are considering learning or improving your bass playing I strongly recommend having a good look at ebassguitar to see if it suits you, James and his team are always there to give you sound and unbiased support.

I use & recommend the Bass Lab Plus subscription because of the amount of info in one place, James teaching style and the summer rate value ($99). It is easy to go back to and refresh previously used lessons.

The courses are excellent. Well packaged, lots of content with high-quality production.

More than I can say for my experience with SBL (Scotts Bass Lessons).

I just started learning bass guitar about a year and half ago. I started by searching the internet for lessons and how to start. James's videos helped me a lot, and that lead me to subscribe. There is a lot of value in it; step by step instructions, arpeggios which I still practice almost daily, webinars which are great and downloadable materials.

They got back to with a response quickly and sent me a direct link to what I was looking for. Very helpful.
