MARCH 20: I received an order with damage to the strap. The overall look also was not appealing so I returned them. This resulted in a $60.08 "gift" card.
APRIL 17 @ 8:13AM: Earthshoes.com sent confirmation of my new order of two pairs of shoes, in which I used a 25% off discount code. I realized I'd forgotten to include the code for my $60.08 refund, so I immediately cancelled the order.
APRIL 17 @ 8:14AM: EarthShoes.com sent email confirmation that my new order was cancelled.
APRIL 17 daytime: I tried reordering the two pairs of shoes, this time with my “gift" card refund code entered. But now the system wouldn't accept the 25% off code, saying it was already used. This was the start of 4 days of emails and calls with customer service. The first email noted…

“Unfortunately, our front desk is unable to reset or reapply the $60 credit and the promo code.”

I was told an agent would get back with me to help. The next emails said the EarthShoes.com system could not reset the 25% off code and the easiest way to resolve this was via phone. I really wanted to just order online and have it done, but repeatedly I was told the situation could only be taken care of in a call.

I receive a lot of telemarketer calls that I decline. The next day I got what sounded like a telemarketer call. The woman had a very heavy accent that I couldn't understand well. I asked her to please spell the place she was calling from, but that sounded like a term I didn't recognize, so I hung up.
I received an emails saying a customer service agent had left a voice message (there wasn't one) and I asked again about why this couldn't just be done online so I could submit my order.
APRIL 21: I got another call from an 877 area code number. The person had a very heavy accent that I could not understand. I asked them to spell where they were calling from. I couldn't understand what was said back to me, but then she did say what I heard as “shoes order” so, I talked with her.

The call lasted 28 minutes.

After 13 minutes struggling in communication, I understood my options were for the customer service agent to place my order for me via phone (which I was uncomfortable with because I couldn't confirm what she was saying) or, I could place it online without the 25% off code and EarthShoes could refund me back that part later. I continued to be surprised that EarthShoes.com couldn't just email me a new 25% off code to let me submit my own order.

I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager about Earth Shoes' poor protocol for customer service. After waiting more than 15 minutes, the agent said there was still no supervisor available for me to speak to. She asked if she could call me back tomorrow to try again. I reluctantly agreed, frustrated that I still didn't have my shoe order placed.
A couple minutes later a customer service supervisor called me; I recognized the 877 area code and answered. I could understand her accented voice much better. But interestingly enough, after 4 days of being told the best way for the customer was via phone, the supervisor told me she could submit my order, BUT, I could NOT apply my $60 refund from before. WHAT?!

The EarthShoes.com customer service protocol was almost comical by now! I could only get 25% off via phone; I could only use my $60 refund money by ordering online.

My original problem was forgetting to apply my $60 refund to the order , but on reorder the system thought I'd already used the 25% off coupon! It was still unresolved.

In all the back and forth via email, telling me the phone was my only option, insisting that was best for the customer (even though I said it was harder for me), no one EVER mentioned a phone order cannot accept refund dollars.

This is horrific customer service. EarthShoes.com does not empower customer service agents to solve problems. They do not make sure agents are clearly understandable via phone. They do not educate their agents to know what can and can't be done and why. And they don't have an updated system that can create a 1-time personalized discount code to address such situations as mine. This whole experience wasted SO much time, as I kept being told phone service was better for the customer, and then phone service wasn't helping. I've never had to work so hard to try to order two pairs of shoes.

The supervisor was at least able, at the end, to move my “gift" card funds back to my original payment method, which no one had mentioned previously. She also said she could then submit my order, with a 20% discount, because she couldn't do a 25% discount, but she could later refund me the missing 5%. It all sounded like such a ridiculous hassle, that I just said NO, I don't want anything now.

No Customer service

I really wanted a pair of these shoes and saved to get them. All of my shoes are size 6, but the size 6 from them was too large. I have called endlessly to get help returning and all you get is automated. They say they will answer Emails in 48 hours, but they won't answer mine at all. I suspect because they know I am dissatisfied. No customer service whatsoever. I would Never deal with them again. I'm guessing, I'm going to have to take the loss. Garbage company.

Bought a pair of earth origin at Tootsies

Bought a pair of earth origin shoes at a store. After three months of minimal use, one side panel on one shoe had the leather cracking and tearing, while the rest of the shoes were impeccable. Clearly a manufacturers defect. They claim to have a 12 month warranty but wrote me back stating that model does not have a warranty period and thus I was past the warranty timeline. I am waiting to hear back.

WORST customer service service.

WORST customer service service.
The shoes were great— great styles, colors, workmanship. I had bought THREE pairs. I would love to reorder in the correct sizes, but absolutely will never deal with this company again!!!!!!

Worst Customer Service EVER!!!

This is more of a saga than a review. It has gone on forever. I initially purchased a pair of boots from the Earth Shoes website. When I received them, they were far larger than I expected, and I wasn't thrilled with the look, so I returned them. I had paid with Shop Pay, so I wanted a refund, to my credit card, of the two payments Shop Pay had taken so far. I've done this once before with another merchant, and it worked out fine, no problem at all. Earth Shoes would only give me a gift card. I tried to call them to plead my case, but after listening to hold music for nearly an hour, I hung up and emailed them. Then I waited nearly a week and didn't receive a response. Figuring I had no recourse, I ordered the same boots in a smaller size. Almost IMMEDIATELY after I ordered, I got an email from them saying that, since I had used a gift card to purchase (which I hadn't - until just now!!), I could only do an exchange. I was furious! My initial payment had been to Shop pay, with my credit card! I wrote to them and they wrote back saying sorry, but that's our policy, blah, blah, blah... Anyway, when I got the smaller pair, they were STILL huge on me, so I did a return and sent them off. Okay, so I HAVE to buy something - some shoes I don't want. I resigned myself to it. BUT, I never got an email with a new gift card number, so now I can't buy anything even if I want to!! I tried to call them today, once again, and once again sat on hold for nearly an hour before giving up. So basically I just GAVE them $119. I could scream. Earth Shoes has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! Do not buy from this company.

NOW LOW QUALITY, UNATTRACTIVE SHOES.

The original earth shoes were my favorite shoes; it was bought out by another company 2021. The Berri shoe has been completely changed. It went from a quality, comfortable, attractive shoe; to basically a shoe that looks like a clown shoe. Instead of quality material it has been down graded to junk synthetic materials. The shoe is now oversized and to wide and the straps have been made wider, as well. What was an attractive shoe has been ruined. What a shame; these were my favorite shoes. I will never buy from this present earth company every again.

I would give no stars if that was an…

I would give no stars if that were an option. They send me email advertising. I received an email to check out an item I had in my cart for a specific discount price. When I tried, the code was rejected. When I contacted customer service, they said the code would not work. I inquired how to get the advertised price, they told me the sale was over. Terrible online experience, invalid/false advertising, non-existent customer service, awful business model.

Shoe Quality has gone down!

I have purchased earth shoes for many years. Something has happened at this company. The quality has really gone down. The straps have become wider, the shoes have become oversized, as well. The quality of the leather is worse, as well. The Berri style sandal is so oversized and has such wide straps; it now looks like a clown shoe. I just purchased the Birdy style sandal and the same issues; oversized, wide straps, poor quality of leather. I am done with earth shoes. I am so disappointed this was the only shoe I could wear comfortably because I have neuropathy in my feet.
