I recently placed an order with DustArrest for their Hoover vacuum cleaner, and the experience has been incredibly disappointing. After receiving the machine, I found that the power and performance did not match the advertised claims at all. The vacuum simply didn’t live up to the hype.

In an attempt to give it a fair chance, I tried the machine for a mere two minutes. Realizing it was not what was promised, I decided to return it. However, DustArrest refused to accept the return, claiming that because the machine had been used, they would not process a refund. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

I exchanged plenty of emails with Hattie from their team, referencing our consumer rights and return policy, which clearly state that we have the right to return products if they do not meet our expectations. Despite this, Hattie simply refused.

It’s clear that DustArrest are not standing behind their products or their advertising. I want everyone to be aware of this terrible experience and think twice before purchasing from them. Poor product performance and even worse customer service. I strongly advise avoiding DustArrest at all costs.

3d printed cheap crap. It will snap after 80sqm of grinding. Promises the world gives nothing don’t buy.

Dustarrest.com Filters their reviews so after leaving a review on their MAXVAC ANGLE GRINDER CUTTING SHROUD, 180 (7") & 230MM (9") and it not showing up on the website even a month later, I have decided to share it with you all on Trustpilot.com so it is now visible to all considering the item.

This is a very expensive piece of plastic and that is acceptable as long as it is made to a high standard, Afterall what is £150 if it captures all the dust and protects you from a diamond encrusted 9-inch diameter metal blade spinning at 6,600rpm?

Well there lies the problem... The shroud may be priced like it is made by Festool/Felder/TSO/Woodpeckers etc, but the mounting adapter rings are made like they had a budget of 5 pence per item and the adapter rings are the most crucial part in holding the shroud to the tool.

I purchased my unit around 10 months ago, and I raised the concern with DustArrest as soon as I opened the package. "Why are you sending me a badly 3D printed adapter ring, when your own product photos shows a solid injection moulded adapter ring?" DustArrest's answer was it costs less.

On the second use of the angle grinder the adapter ring shattered. I informed DustArrest and they were kind enough to send out 2x more 3D printed adapter rings with the following quote "I have added your new rings to come to you in the next few days. Unfortunately, the rings are 3D printed and as far as I am aware these will not be changed back to the other style due to the ever changing models of grinders."

I personally find the above statement unacceptable. You are charging £150 for a piece of plastic, make it from good plastic.

The adapter rings are printed on the lowest quality 3D printed setting I have ever seen, giant cavities in the rings, no structural integrity at all.
I recently purchased some 3D parts from a private garage dweller/seller on Etsy and his 3D printed components were superb, because he wasn't trying to use the minimal amount of plastic.

So Conclusion:
Does this product work? Yes if you plunge it full into the wall (half/shallow plunges still fill a room with dust)
Would you recommend it? NO. Those cheap 3D printed adapter rings are a massive health and safety concern and I think unless they are switched out for something better built this product should be pulled from production.

If I could give minus stars I would, placed an order for MAXVAC items, paid the money in full, but now no response from Dust Arrest on the order, it's been weeks of waiting, and I have wasted countless hours calling and sending emails with no response......I would look to use another company

Fantastic after sales service, problem with product was sorted and replaced in a couple of days from contact.

Really great service! I ordered Tuesday afternoon and arrived Wednesday afternoon! I realised after I paid that I had chosen 2-3 days shipping but wanted my item earlier than that, called up the office and they sorted next day delivery free of charge and no hassle!! Genuinely impressed

Really poor service from this company, placed an order for a number of items with them, got a phone call pretty quickly to say one of the items was out of stock, no problem at all said please dispatch the bulk and the out of stock item to follow, several days later no order, rang and spoke to customer service 'Kelly' who doesn't seem to care at all whether you get your order or not. It says on their website 'personal friendly support' yet to be seen. Still waiting on the order, none of their MaxVacs are exclusive's so consider their competitors before jumping in as the service might be better.

I recently ordered the Ultimate 20L L-Class Vacuum, Compact Power-Tool Dust Extractor, Complete Set but they sent me a completely different one to what was described on the website, for a company that's allegedly dedicated to providing dust extraction products and solutions to send out a dust extractor with the incorrect accessories that make it useless as a dust extractor is just comical at best. Not happy at all really as I needed this item for work.

Update, they have redeemed themselves by resolving the issue very quickly so I am now very happy with the company and will certainly use again.

Dust Arrest maxvac Db450 performed excellent..easy to carry got a lot of spray dust removed from the air & other dust particles..can be used as a 240v or 110v

We came across Dust Arrest earlier this year (my business partner & I) after a recommendation from a friend.

We originally purchased one of the grinder dust shrouds and both of us were blown away with how little dust escaped! Saved so much time at the end of the day when clearing up. We were so impressed we went back and ordered 2 more!

I was then sent a flyer via email for a MAXVAC vacuum, 35L to which I had never considered spending a few bucks on a decent vacuum as thought our little Henry was ok day to day. After phoning up to enquire, I spoke with the sales team who were very knowledgeable and gave plenty of advice which to be honest, taught me a thing or two! The lady then sent me over a quote with a few options that would be suitable.

I ended up purchasing a STARMIX iPulse vacuum and can honestly say why didn’t I do it sooner?!

Many thanks to the team at Dustarrest, 100% recommend and im sure I will be back to order again in the future!

I would give minus 5 stars if i could !!
Wasted 40+ hours of my time ,endless phone calls and emails .
Paid upfront 5 weeks ago and today been left with no choice but to cancel the order their delivery policy and courier are the worst i've ever experienced, need to spend more time sorting problems out when they arise , neither of the sales team knew the product specifications and after 5 days of wasted time the older sales woman said you'll enjoy it more when you do finally get it ,cheeky old woman !! I said actually older sales woman its a vacuum and just at the minute i should be taking my cousins wife to hospital as he's on deaths door so trust me older sales woman i won't be looking back on 21.5 hrs of wasted time and lies with fond memories , DPD i will never use again, i photographed the van and 50 % of the parcels were damaged !! I refused delivery after waiting 21.5 hrs over 5 days the next 11 days have been spent waiting for returns as dust arrest and addex group won't deal with it !! Then told they are going to deal with it but only after i have to threaten to cancel . Then I'm promised they are going to use a different courier but guess who delivers for the new courier its DPD more lies !! thats it I'm done with the ineptiude of these incompetent fools ,left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing !!
The van on the 3rd delivery day looked like it had been loaded by opening the doors and seeing who could throw the parcels in from the greatest distance !!!! But my parcel was no where to be seen !!
I've even contacted the manufacturer in germany to voice my concerns about these incompetent fools who couldn't organise a day out in a brewery !!
So if i get my money in 14days thats 7 weeks of lies and disorganised needless time wasting ,
The amount of incidents i have to list is too long !!
Conclusion is 5weeks no money no product utterly useless ive had bones heal quicker and how many times could i of driven to germany and back and paid less in 7 weeks !!
Will never use or recommend !!!!!
Trustpilot has forced me to edit this to meet the posting theshold !!
