Payment screen takes a lot to load
Payment screen takes a lot to load - I had to submit my request twice to get the payment details screen loaded so I could enter my card info.
I don't like that I have to pay a creditcard fee of 2% when no other option for payment is given.

We've used DriveAway for several years …
We've used DriveAway for several years now. We especially like that their prices include the insurances that we need in the USA. When we had a problem obtaining a refund from one of the rental companies, DriveAway provided excellent service in expediting the refund and were helpful and easy to deal with. We don't look anywhere else when hiring a vehicle.
Generally good experience but 2 little issues
Second time booking on line has failed and had to call in to book.
Other niggle is that they charge extra for using a credit card but don't give you an alternative. Why not just one price!

Easy process with prompt responses to all queries and changes requests.
Excellent service and friendly staff
We had so many questions and so many options to consider for our road trip but the staff were so helpful and patient and friendly it actually made the whole procedure enjoyable!
We would unreservedly recommend this company to anyone needing rental cars for their holiday.
We had rung various other companies and searched online and DriveAway Holidays provided the best deal.We felt it was the best way to organize a rental as we had so many variables that to be able to have the staff discuss options and give rates and help us be aware of all extra costs and insurances was wonderful.We felt confident after all the negotiating to book and pay over the phone - receiving confirmation and emails immediately. So thank you DriveAwayHolidays NZ!!

Booking problem sorted in no time
I couldn't complete my booking using the website because of technical problems but a phone call was quickly answered and my booking made in fast time by a quick and friendly operator.
Too easy
We wanted a car to hire. We got a car to hire. Took about 10 minutes to sort out. Car was legit. Done.

Easy rental
Great dealing with Driveaway holidays. Nice going to Los Angeles with peace of mind knowing everything was covered with a fixed NZD price. It was our bad luck that the local Budget rental place was packed when we got there and had to wait over an hour in the queue (apparently busy end of summers weekend). We weren't very impressed with the customer service there, except for the guy that was handing out water to the tired and hot travellers in the queue. The car we got was in great condition and suited our needs perfectly. We also Currently renting through Driveaway holidays at the moment in Mississauga/Toronto (Thrifty 3660 Hurontario) and our experience so far has been perfect.
Car hire Uk
Picked up car at Heathrow, excellent service, they double booked our car but then upgraded us to a larger model. Dropping the car off at St Pancras was a nightmare, fortunately we allowed plenty of time and it was early Sunday morning ( no traffic). There were no signs for Avis car hire drop off. Google took us to an area where nothing existed. Fortunately we saw Europacar signs in a basement car par park, we asked them where Avis where and they replied, "They only have some drop off bays at the far end of the car park" we found the bay's and a couple of guys cleaning cars speaking very little English. When they finally convinced me it was ok to leave the car after providing no I.D or very little confidence that the car was safe in their hands. Eventually I succumbed to leave the car largely due to the fact that the extra time I allowed was fast running out and we had a Euroster train to catch. Very poor.

Booking was fairly straight forward at Edinburgh Airport although there is a good walk from arrival to Europcar base. Didn't really have much in the way of road maps available, just a general one from the Tourist Board.
Drop off at Aberdeen was straight forward as well. Nice car although a few modern features (for me) took a while to work out.
Excellent in everyway
I have been using Driveaway for some years and they are excellent. Other than being conned into an upgrade by AVIS in Lyon which I did not know was happening everything has been excellent with them. I should have picked up the upgrade but the salesman was very smooth so my problem. Will always deal with Driveaway = latest pickup in UK excellent and no upsell.
