I visited the showroom and was impressed with the person I spoke with. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I explained that I needed a new front door and potentially a new garage door. I also explained that I had a glass block porch and that it was an unusual construction. He reassured me that the surveyor or even the door fit fitter would take a look and be best people to advise me. Overall I felt I had had a good experience and was ready at that point to place an order.

Unfortunately the whole experience began to sower from the moment the Surveyor arrived. He immediately explained that he no experience of fitting a door to a glass block porch. He simply appeared uninterested and I would estimate that he only spent several minutes carrying out his “survey” before he was concluding that Doorfit would not be able to assist. I explained that the front door was unusable and as a disabled person I needed a front door that I could use. He did not seem interested, despite me joking that it would be great if the Firm could somehow assist me and perform a “miracle for me”. He did not even reply to that or even that he would do his best to help. I asked what I would need to do first to enable Doorfit to be able to fit a door. Again he did not seem interested and was not particularly forthcoming.
We subsequently spoke on the telephone, and again he said Doorfit could not assist. I asked him once again what I would need to do for a door to be fitted and did the Firm have any Builders they could suggest. Again he said no.When I suggested that I would place an order, paying for it upfront at my own risk he still refused.

Overall a hugely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company.

Oh and finally despite him surveying the garage door he did not even offer to provide costs on that!

Doorfit sourced an ironmongery component for a handle, for a defunct line via manufacturer Karcher and sent it out to me free of charge. I offered payment but they declined. Remarkable service, very generous and impressive. Thank you Roger Saunders

Took a chance and ordered 10 pairs of Fortessa Wave door handles, which I though expensive but looked good. Money well spent! Excellent product, very classy product, handles actually fit my hand instead of digging into my palm. Very happy! Thanks Doorfit, it's good to know that quality is still available!

I needed a lock replacing and found this company via the Master Locksmiths Association, who vet and inspect the companies they recommend. Doorfit sent out the wonderful Stuart. I don’t quite know where to start with how brilliant he was. Firstly he tried to talk me through repairing my old lock over the phone - what modern day company would bother to do that when they want to sell you something! When I couldn’t fix it, he ordered a like for like lock, phoned me back with a price, declined a deposit as he hadn’t yet done the work and wanted to be paid once I was pleased with the job (which I was) - another commendable old-fashioned trait. He turned up when he said he would, did a first-rate job, left no mess and wouldn’t even take a “tip” to buy himself a pint. On top of that he was a really nice, genuine guy. I cannot recommend this company, and Stuart, highly enough.

Following a really informative visit to the showroom we ordered an electric round the corner garage door as we had this style previously. James and Ryan were really helpful with advice pre ordering and answering the many questions we had. The fitting process went so smoothly and we were given advice on how to use and maintain the door. If you are wanting a new garage door I would fully recommend Doorfit.

Doorfit's customer service was excellent - a minor problem was fixed with a smile and humour over the phone straight away. The order came the next day as promised. Can't rate them enough, the internet needs more companies like Doorfit.

Website catalogue was easy to use and the item we bought came very quickly and was exactly right.

I ordered a Ucem 85mm chrome door handle. The handle itself when it arrived was a good quality item and fit the door perfectly. I had found getting a handle of this size difficult to find so it was great to a replacement for my door in chrome rather than a brass finish.

The only problem was that the website reported this item as in stock. To me this means the item is in their warehouse and only needs to be dispatched and shipped. It turns out they didn't really have this item in stock and it had to be ordered from a supplier. It took about a month from the time I placed the order to the time it was dispatched. I think it should be clearly indicated that this item will take a long time to be dispatched.

This is an excellent product for lubricating locks that have become difficult to use, It is useful on cars and in the house and is better than WD40. The service from Doorfit was very good. I would recommend both the product and the company. I will use again without hesitation.

Proved to be exactly what i wanted.

I purchased kick plates from Doorfit Products and not only was the site simple to use, my purchase has made such a big difference to the appearance of our doors. The chrome plates look smart and prevent the doors (which are white) from being marked
by dirty footprints as they are kicked open.
