Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Mishandling of Takedown Case and Misrepresentation of Outcome

Dear DMCA.com Team,

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the way my takedown case has been handled. I submitted a DMCA takedown request through your platform 14 days ago, concerning an infringing video that violated my privacy and copyright rights. Unfortunately, throughout this entire period, there was little to no action taken from your end that produced any result.

After 13 days of waiting with no visible progress or resolution, I independently submitted a takedown request directly to TikTok using their legal reporting form. As shown in the attached image, TikTok responded directly to my report and removed the infringing content. I am willing to grant you access to my email inbox if necessary so you may verify this fact yourself.

What is most concerning is that, shortly after TikTok processed my request and removed the video, I received an email from your team claiming that you had successfully removed the content. This is both misleading and inappropriate. I have proof that the content was removed as a result of my direct legal report to TikTok, not through any action taken by your service.

I feel that your handling of this matter was highly unprofessional, and I believe it is unethical to take credit for a resolution you did not achieve. I paid for a professional and expedited service that promised action—not delays and false claims. I respectfully request a full refund, and I strongly urge your team to improve both communication and transparency in future cases.

I can provide you with login access to my email account where I submitted the report to TikTok, so you can independently verify the legitimacy and timeline of their response and removal of the infringing content.

Additionally, please send me a secure attachment link so I can upload the screenshot of TikTok’s response confirming the takedown.

Beware – Misleading Service and Likely Fake Reviews

I strongly advise everyone to stay away from DMCA.com. I paid $199 for their takedown service expecting a professional and expedited resolution. Instead, they did absolutely nothing for 13 days. I ended up having to submit the takedown myself directly through TikTok’s legal form — and TikTok took the content down within hours.

What’s worse, DMCA.com falsely claimed they had successfully removed the content, taking credit for something they never did. I have proof of the timeline and TikTok’s direct response to me. When I confronted them, they offered no accountability.

Most of the positive reviews you see here are not genuine — they are clearly written by their partners or internal employees to mislead users like me. I now realize I was scammed into trusting them because of those fake reviews.

DMCA just refused to takedown the forwarded URL and I was asked to pay another 199$ and file a new DMCA complaint . Absolutely disappointed by DMCA .

Fraudulent website with international web hosting company

The communication was very good. The creativity with Google to put a warning label on a fraudulent website, which was hosted by international web hosting company, was excellent. Really appreciated the final step in a challenging process, especially with a non-responsive web hosting company in an international location.
