Can’t get what you ordered, poor customer service experience
I was gifted a Robocop shirt over the holidays. The quality of the print and shirt itself was very nice. The shirt even had a nice white on black brass knuckle tag on the lower hem, subtle but stylish.
I went ahead and ordered 7 more shirts from them on 12-26-23 and paid the extra shipping to get them stateside.
Took about two weeks for them to arrive and when I opened the bag I saw that the shirts were all different brands, and none of them had the white on black brass knuckle tag.
Furthermore I got one shirt in a color I did not order, and another that was the wrong shirt. Should be a simple thing, to ship out the right shirts, nope.
When I reached out, I was told that they use different suppliers for their shirts and the white on black hem tag was done away with now. I was also told that some times shirts that are of stock will be substituted? This is a poor response as the seller should be contacting the buyer if something is out of stock BEFORE shipping not just substituting and hope the buyer accepts it as a surprise.
I’ve been going back and forth with these folks to get this resolved but I’ve done the majority of the leg work by providing photos of the shirts, my printed invoice and citing the size color and shirt type. All of which they should have access too already in their system and can clearly see the issues when compared to the provided photos. They have spent more time and energy defending the mistake made and became confrontational rather than owning up to the mistake and offering a quick solution.
They insist they have a seamless process however for an experience like this, it’s far from pleasant considering the sizable amount of money spent on these shirts.
I can’t recommend these folks for shirts as their quality control seems to be outsourced and lacks attention to detail. They also seem to be caught in the middle of not being equipped professionally to quickly and efficiently make their customer whole most likely due to their outsourced commerce setup.
So my order of 7 shirts arrived with one the wrong color, one an entirely different shirt not ordered, and 5 that were ok.
Of those 7 shirts, two were of a different brand and of a thin material, two more were also of another different brand and the remaining five shirts were also from yet another different brand.
The replacement shirt color I chose happened to also be out of stock, so they say, so again I had to choose from a link to their shirt vendor and then was told it would ship out asap. I had to remind them I am still missing two shirts from my order. Their website and Etsy shop still list the purple color I originally ordered but was told was out of stock….so either poor inventory control or just being spiteful by saying it’s out of stock?
It got to be the 25th of January and I haven’t heard anything since till I reached out again and was told I should have them soon.
The really sad part is they are still selling the same shirt I got in the wrong color on Etsy and on their own website and when I finally did get my replacement shirt the work order again said purple on it.
So frankly I’m of the opinion that the person I was dealing with was having a laugh, being argumentative and difficult on purpose and could have simply gotten me the correct color but chose not to.
Can’t and will never order from these folks again and I would think twice before ordering from them if you haven’t already done so.
If you want to improve your company, have a talk with your customer service reps and teach them how to be empathetic and helpful because having to send over 18 emails back and forth to get a resolution is ridiculous.
I’d also talk with them about not being on the defensive by citing “our process is fine” or “we don’t get many complaints” which is irrelevant as your not working to solve the problem.
You had a complaint and it was your fault but you spent more time defending your mistake rather than apologize and offer to get the right shirts shipped, and not sending a link to a 3rd party website and just say “pick a color but not the one you ordered” is even worse combined with the fact that your website and Etsy shop STILL list the shirt I originally ordered as up and available for sale!
