I highly recommend Digital Background.
The entire process, from setup to application, is simple and very easy to understand. The system is well designed, allowing me to clearly track the progress of our application at every stage.
Their fees are very reasonable, which makes the service even more appealing.
What impressed me the most was their excellent customer support—emails are answered promptly, often on the same day, and the responses are always polite, helpful, and professional.

The process was quick and straightforward. Communication was clear throughout, and my DBS checks are completed without any issues. I would definitely recommend Digital Background for their efficient and professional service.

Not User Friendly
I like the system, easy to navigate and make payments, a little bit cheaper than some other providers.
However, the user settings a not practical, you can either have full admin access or simply add a new applicant. Where I want to have a user who can add, view, chase, reply, etc. without Admin, a big no no!!
FYI It's already been logged with the customer service team but was rejected

These guys were brilliant, so much easier than DBS checking I’ve had done previously. A much smoother process, great communication and cheaper!

When we first decided to undertake DBS checks on our volunteers it looked like an absolute nightmare - complicated, unhelpful guidance - not a great system to interact with.
And then we discovered Digital Background.
Their system has made a potentially frustrating process actually quite simple and their Dashboard is clear logical and easy to work with. They are also super responsive and helped me understand the bits I couldn't work out from the .gov jargon.
I'd happily recommend them to anyone who's looking for a dbs umbrella organisation - oh & their fees are pretty reasonable too!
