We booked this for our family of 4 to celebrate the little one turning 4. The kids absolutely loved every minute of it.. we were one of the last ones to leave Diggerland.

The staff on all the rides were extremely patient and polite, especially the 2 on the small rally round near the entrance who patiently walked alongside the cars supporting my two little ones with driving around the track rather than going off into the bushes or grass!

This is the first kids day out that I have been to where as an adult I also enjoyed myself just as much and would definitely book again

Booked for my boys birthday. Always go as a big group each year and although it’s a little backyard feel and needs updating in places, my boy has a great time. This year however 2 of the group had Covid so I asked them not to come to protect others in the park, thinking the tickets could just be moved to another date and we’d come again and I’d be happy with the booking fee to change it. Clearly not as family orientated as they make out and like other growing companies has just become about the money as they refused to change the date or give me any money back. I got a long email back with paragraphs of t&c’s blah blah and wouldn’t budge apart from in exceptional circumstances. Clearly having an illness that it fatal for some isn’t good enough and I should have just been selfish instead. I will be telling others not to bother. Shame as companies thrive on word of mouth and repeat business but they’ve lost a repeat customer here. Save your money and go to clean updated places like chessington or Thorpe park. There was a reason it was dead in half term week (as all the teens who staff it were complaining about!).

In response to your reply Diggerland, I am sorry I didn’t foresee them having Covid. Of course next time I’ll check the looking glass to see before I purchase in advance tickets. What a ridiculous reply!

Brilliant day out, my son loved it here for his 5th birthday. It’s worth waiting until the kids are 115cm that way they can go on a lot of stuff by themselves. I was so surprised that the food was really good as they are usually to a lower standard than this, but the food was great. There was lots to do. I would quite like it if they didn’t charge for the bumper cars or little ride on cars as this bumps up the price after the cost of a ticket or if they could get rid of the paid rides.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to digger land. It was our first time going, so had no idea what to expect, but for a 5 year old, it was perfect for them really. No long wait times, fairly clean for a theme park as well and the food in the cafe was decent as well (I recommend the chicken curry! but they need to give you more curry, was slightly dry towards the end!). The staff I have to give a mention to as they were great throughout the day, seemed like they wanted to be there, smile on their faces and very polite, which made the day all the more enjoyable.

The few downsides were as follows -

The Dodgems absolutely should be included within the ticket price, they charge a £ per go, but there was hardly anyone on them because of this. My daughter wanted to go on, but due to no activity, it was pointless.

The ticket price itself, is probably slightly overpriced in my view. The park is fun, however there are not that many rides really, probably about 4 actual rides. I get the novelty, however at £25 entry for pre book and over £30 on the day, there just isn't really enough there to bring be back again at that price.

I think, as a one off visit, Digger land serves its purpose as a fun day out for the family. However, with the price point of tickets, the fact Dodgems are not included and the lack of ride variety, I doubt I would return unfortunately.

But in closing, we had a fun day out and enjoyed ourselves.

Could not recommend Diggerland enough. We took a 2 year old and an 8 year old and there was so much for both of them to do. Diggerland is well maintained and has plenty to offer! Wonderful friendly staff who really helped make the day even better. We hardly had to queue as there is that much to do. Food and gift shop are very reasonably priced too.

Me my friend and our 6 grandchildren visited the Durham diggerland during spring holiday week the kids range in age from 2-13yrs and they all had the most epic time, there's plenty to do for all ages, my older 2 granddaughters lived being able to drive the car on their own, Amber who took them round d was really really lovely and said they were the best drivers ever. Safari Dave was just fantastic his stories while driving round literally had me crying with laughing.
I would certainly recommend a visit it was one of the kids ever best day out - their words!

Absolutely fantastic day! Staff are friendly and helpful and there’s a good range of activities. We spent the whole day and didn’t need to queue much. It is a little on the pricy side but worth it! Our boys had the best day (and so did we!).

Expected a lot more based on YouTube videos we’d watched.. almost all the rides had at least two sections which were inoperable.. the go karts and dodgems were out of action entirely.

The toilets were filthy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for weeks, with toilet paper only available in one cubicle.. staff seemed bored and had more fun lagging amongst themselves than they did with customers

Definitely not worth the money and such a shame we didn’t have a good time as my young son was really looking forward to it as his fourth birthday treat and left disappointed

Lastly, the gift shop stocked everything except their own merchandise.. we’d seen on the YouTube videos of people wearing Diggerland t-shirts so wanted these for both of my children but all they had in stock were paw patrol toys and a couple of books - the rest of the shelves and hangers were bare, and when I asked a cashier about the t shirts, I was told they “hadn’t stocked those for years”..

What a great experience. Fun for all ages, I cannot recommend this park enough. All the staff were really friendly and made our day so enjoyable.

A great day out and good value for money, your staff area credit to you, always pleasant and helpful.

Loads to do, fun for all ages. Even us parents. Cafe wasn’t badly priced either food was lovely. Will definitely come again

We had a great day at Diggerland. 4 of us went 3yr old,40yr old, 75yr old and 78yr old. We all had such an enjoyable day. All the rides were great and lots of variety. We were lucky that we didn't have any long waiting time for any of the activities. The staff were unbelievable - so welcoming and patient - lovely people. Catering staff couldn't have been more helpful - food was good and so reasonably priced. Would recommend this experience for any age group. Thank you to everyone for such a great day.

My 5 year old son and I visited Diggerland in Yorkshire and had a fabulous day out. I was advised to wait until he was at least 110cm in height so he could do all activities which was a great suggestion and would pass that on! I would make special reference to how incredibly polite and friendly that staff were and they contributed to making the day even better.

Fantastic day out, my daughter really enjoyed being able to get in and actually drive the car and some of the diggers! Well be back again soon I'm sure.

I took my 6 yr old nephew and 5 yr old niece, they were so excited beforehand as they'd never been before and it certainly did not disappoint!
They loved the spin dizzy ride the most, they were both tall enough for all the rides. Some of the rides they needed an adult with them to be able to reach the accelerator pedal and/or help operate the gearstick. The staff are absolutely amazing. It was lovely and quiet the day we went, I think there were 142 guests which meant we could get straight on the rides without needing to queue for any longer than a couple of minutes.
We took a picnic with us and there were plenty of indoor tables for us to sit at, they then played in the indoor soft play area which is free of charge.
The only thing we had to pay extra for was the dodgems which at £1 a car I felt was very reasonable.
We were there from just before 11am and left at 4.30pm and were satisfied that we'd done all the rides 2 or 3 times and we're ready to go. Also I was surprised that the ground was not overly wet and muddy given we've had so much rain over the last few months.
We purchased some toys and Lego from the gift shop which again wasn't too expensive.
All in all a wonderful day out which I'm sure my niece and nephew will have fond memories for many years to come.

Super day out. Good value with everyone from 1 year old to Grandad having fun.

Absolutely brilliant day out and great to let the kids go on rides by themselves - amazing day out and highly recommended - plus rides which adults can have fun with too! love it - my favourite place to play.

Staff are so friendly and helpful too

We have visited Diggerland twice - the first time with two great nephews aged 4 and 5, who loved it, and the second with a great great nephew aged nearly 4 who is desperate to go again the next time he visits us. We are ancient aunt and uncle and we enjoyed it too, even twice.

Good prices and don’t get ripped off like most places,food was a good price and in my opinion good quality and quantity .
To make it perfect just change the weather 🤣🤣.

Great day out! We were there with our 2 Grandchildren from 10.30 until closing at 5pm and they wanted to stay to keep on driving the machinery! Not a great day weather wise but we just went into the indoor play area when the showers came. No queues so there wasn't any waiting to go on rides or machines. A big shout out to all the young people on staff as they were all very polite, kind and helpful to the children on the rides and activities.
