As with the previous review we took out four dogs and despite being sold a very different tailored package and having a nice training lady we did not receive the amount of training promised. Dogs in and out of car in a car park. Would not recommend. When I returned I asked if there was any ongoing support again only if you pay extra so sad

Probably fine for one size fits all training but not what I wanted or what I believe I was sold. I had a long chat on the phone with a member of staff from Devon Dogs and explained my very specific situation, I was assured that training would be tailored to us. It wasn’t, it was my dog with several others in a cold car park. Each dog was out the car for about 10 mins before being put back in while we watched other people’s dogs doing the same, basic, exercises. Absolutely NOT value for money and despite several long emails Devon Dogs refuse to refund anything. Very unhappy.

You get soooooo much more than you think or can even imagine, than what you pay for.
The learning is EPIC, EXTREEMLY highly qualified trainers, great facilities, extreemly kind and so so sympathetic and understanding.
They make you feel at home.
And when you stay in the cottages, wow its Like a super deluxe 5 star cottage home, and we actually did call it home......
This truely has been the best experience of my lifetime.!

We’ve just returned from a week at Devon Dogs and it truly was the most amazing experience, in fact, I can honestly say it was the experience of a lifetime! The staff were incredibly kind, supportive, knowledgeable, flexible and inclusive from start to finish.

We trained as part of a small, lovely group of students and their dogs — each of us working through similar struggles and wanting to grow our confidence as owners/trainers. The programme was brilliantly varied, with a mix of theory sessions, practical lessons, workshops, opportunities to observe other dogs training, and so much more.

We were met with genuine warmth, kindness and encouragement, and the level of support and learning was outstanding. Not only have we taken our training to a whole new level, but we’ve also come away with beautiful new friendships. An unforgettable and transformative week—thank you, Devon Dogs, it was amazing!

A Dream Come True – The Ultimate Dog Training Experience!

My two-night ‘stay and train’ at Devon Dogs at East Bowerland Farm was an absolute dream come true! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The personalised training tailored to my dog’s precise needs was outstanding, offering exceptional value for money. The level of expertise, attention to detail, and ability to pick up on the smallest adjustments that will make the biggest impact truly set this experience apart. It was clear from the very beginning that I was in the hands of a team who genuinely care about delivering the best possible experience.

One of the standout aspects was the incredible communication and support before even arriving from the team. Michelle’s friendly and insightful advice, including the mechanics with the lead, was invaluable. Everything I needed to know in advance was clearly laid out in a comprehensive guest information booklet, and I even received a personalised training plan following a Zoom consultation ensuring my dog and I made the most of our time there.

Lauren, despite her busy schedule, took the time to meet me and made a lasting impression - I’m in awe of everything she does! And Lesley was simply wonderful, truly understanding what it’s like living with an ‘NBN dog’ and having a sharp eye for exactly what was needed during training.

The training days were full-on, action-packed, and incredibly rewarding, ensuring both my dog and I got the absolute most from our stay. We stayed in the Annex, a stunning open-plan studio with an enclosed garden - a perfect, peaceful retreat after a day of training. I also loved that there are different stay options (2, 3, 4, or 7 nights) to suit different budgets and schedules.

This experience exceeded every expectation, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for world-class, professional dog training, a welcoming, knowledgeable team, and an idyllic setting, Devon Dogs is the place to be.
