Thieves who have stollen £500 of my retirement money. Very nice when placing an order, but care little about the customer if their circumstances change. Don’t believe a word that Alan Reader tells you.
I bought my car from the Leicester branch and worked with Megan, who was nothing short of amazing. And with anything I've needed help with I've gotten assistance. However I have done my services locally and mostly not had an issue with booking this(Lincoln) . Recently had an issue regarding a parking light and I asked for this to be chased up with warranty. That was in May. At first the issue was the staff member I initially spoke no longer worked at the branch hence the delay which is completely understandable. I have since then called multiple times and also been into the branch to find out what's happening to no avail. Today I finally had enough so I simply went in to ask for warranty number so I can contact them myself and explained I no longer feel comfortable because I don't understand why there's such a lack of communication. I'm a female and a minority so such plays on your mind, especially when you've been patient.
The warranty team were able to tell me no claim had been put through. I asked to submit a complaint but the lady I spoke to told me apparently, when I went to collect the contact number for them, Emily had told me they couldn't put the claim through, something that never happened at all. If I had been told such in branch I wouldn't be wasting my time calling for an update. I do not appreciate anyone including me in there lies no matter how small it may be. Whatever you do, don't use the Lincoln branch
Worst car dealership EVER!!!
Staff have no idea what's going on. My car has been returned over 10 times with airbag errors, software errors and many more problems, 2 years down the line still having that same airbag error. Was booked in this morning for an mot and all errors to be sorted, they rang an hour before my appointment to say oh we won't have time today, it's a long list,( they have had the list for 3 weeks). Person on the phone, well I only got the list yesterday, its not my fault. Absolute joke, avoid.
Car was taken to Cupra (Horton) in Lincoln on 5th April after a 6 week wait, as the Master Technician was the only one capable of doing the work I was told! Their Master Technician updated a software recall that had previously been done as it was incomplete they said? (Issues were faulty trim and multiple warning lights that appear randomly)
The Lincoln dealership said the issue is the rear parking sensors, and should take to the selling dealer (which was in Hull) and will not touch the vehicle even though under warranty!
They didn't fix the faulty trim either! Total waste of space and time.
I offered to pay for the work myself but they still refused.
They claimed that the trim had been off, even though they went to the wrong piece of trim when questioned and that the sensor were non factory, and the parking sensor had been glued in, all of which it total B*llsh*t!!!
They also said the issue with the warning lights had been resolved, but nothing has changed. This is because their diagnosis was totally incorrect.
ALL THIS HAS BEEN RAISED FORMALLY WITH CUPRA UK
The experience at Cupra Hull however is so different (where I purchased the car from)
Took my car in to Curpa Hull recently following a very poor experience at Seat Horton of Lincoln and this was booked in within 3 days not 6 weeks
The service I received from was outstanding.
They understood the issues, diagnosed the faults and rectified them quickly. Some of the parts required were on back order from the manufacture so left me in their loan car until all issues were resolved.
Items replaced were the faulty trim, parking sensor and steering wheel (know issue) that was causing the random lights on the dashboard, non of these Horton of Lincoln did anything about
As I live some distance from the dealership, they even brought my car to a convenient location so we could swap over, and this was our of hours.

Very poor customer service, never bothered answering emails, if they can't answer an email why would I want to buy a car from them....
Inflated interest rates on car finance, poor used car warranty (low labour rate/limit), extended delays when in receipt of funds from finance company on car not roadworthy. Resulted in cancelled purchase (due to cooling off period ending/not in receipt of car) and MD not interested in their poor service. Avoid.
I have bought a few used cars in my time but i can honestly say i have never had a more pleasant experience than this, Elliot Buckberry was exemplary in all he did everything he said would be done was done and more, nothing was to much trouble and he covered every part of the purchase in a very professional way, vehicle was prepared to a very high standard and the attention to detail i found very impressive, to be honest when purchasing another vehicle in the future i wouldn't look much further
We were apparently a valued customer when we bought a car through Hortons Skoda. My parents who have a car with them even recommended them. And when we were buying a car they couldn't be more helpful. Unfortunately, our experience of selling a car back to them has been woeful at best.
We are leaving the country, and wanted to sell the car back to Skoda, this wasn't a problem they said. The sales manager Alan said the car might drop in price a little or even gain a little between now and the month before we left. So I rang back a week later to confirm we would be bringing the car in on the 25th, a couple of days before we leave the country. Not a problem they say.
I rang back this week in preparation to sell the car back expecting the car might go down a little bit in value but the sales assistant tells me that they aren't buying currently due to market conditions. In the space of 3 weeks, even though Hortons knew we are selling a car to them, didn't think to even warn us. I've called back a few times since to try and clarify and gain more information, but suddenly Alan is never free, his "no2" who was supposed to call me back 2 days ago hasn't called back either.
Very very poor service. I've got no issue with market conditions changing, but Hortons Sales team have just buried their heads in the sand and hoped I would just go away. I've not been able to ask questions about how to go about selling the car now they won't take it, I can't ask about the lease agreement or anything as they won't call me back. Apparently now that I am not of any use to them they don't want to know me.
Well, I won't be recommending them to my network and I guarantee my parents won't be bringing more business to you.
I hope someone see's this at Hortons, as all it would have taken was an apology and some guidance and some human compassion. Not ignoring a loyal customer.
We had a lot to get done in our last week and this has really tarnished it. We've had to frantically locate another buyer, and it's a mess that Hortons could have helped us avoid by being honest and upfront.
I recently bought a used car from this garage. I submitted an online request for information and was called within minutes by Elliott. The next day (when it was light) he did me a video walk round of the car which was fantastic. He was the right amount of enthusiastic and helpful. I bought the car and Elliott was professional, extremely helpful and friendly throughout the process. He even rang to check we got home safely (a two hour drive home). Really happy with the car and the service I received. Thank you Seat Horton and in particular Elliott. Also Emily who was very friendly and helpful too.

I ordered a new Skoda for September 1st delivery-amazingly and despite the Ukraine situation they have told me it is available in a few weeks and has to be registered in July! This is sort of good news but the way it is going they won’t hold the car until September so I could lose the car and/or my deposit. Given I have used this dealer for 7 years and spent thousands with them I feel badly let down .

I booked my wife's car in for a service, which we were intending to sell at the time. No issues were found with the car, and it was a straight forward inspection. When I got in the car to drive it away, the screen was cracked top to bottom! I immediately pulled over in the dealership carpark and went to speak to the service department, who said it had arrived like that! Quite gobsmacked, I escalated this to the service manager Shaun, who was beyond useless.
I also asked for the service video and a copy of all cctv which I knew would show the damage was not there when I had pulled into the dealership that morning. I also had our own cctv from out home Ring camera showing no damage to the screen when I left home that morning.
Despite being told by Shaun that cctv would be reviewed and shared, and after chasing several times, no proof of the undamaged screen was produced. I believe the cause of the damage was found in the service center. Calls were not returned, and they were just not interested.
Accidents happen, but to dismiss them and try and lie their way out of it is both unprofessional and damaging to future custom.
So much so, we sold both our Skoda not long afterwards - not to Dennis Hortons, and have since bought new vehicles from elsewhere.
Ordinarily, I would not have felt so bitter about this situation, but in the past they carried out warranty paint repair work, and returned the car with all the wet and dry rags still in the engine compartment, which went unnoticed until I drove the car away, and they wrapped around the water pump belt, and caused smoke to billow out! When I stopped to see the problem, the engine compartment was covered in paint dust, and had caused significant damage, also disputed by Hortons Skoda and they showed no interest in reimbursement of the cost to fix - cleanup, belt damage and a new cabin filter.
Dennis would be sad to see how his business now treats long standing customers, and even Oliver after a direct email, and meeting between himself and the service manager, showed no interest. Please make your own decisions, but I would certainly avoid Dennis Horton Skoda, Lincoln.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Staff members are rude and don’t seem to want your business. Arrived to test drive a vehicle and the car had less 5 miles fuel in it. The car was also dirty. No apology from the staff and was told they couldn’t fuel it that day so I would have to come back again. The salesman had a really bad attitude and didn’t feel welcome at all.
Absolute rubbish, rushed into signing a deal by having them convince you that you are getting the best deal. When in fact you are not. If you feel you need to use the sales dept at this dealership, then tread carefully and check all the figures before signing. My wife was caught out, and ended up losing her deposit when I insisted on cancelling the deal. Use another dealership if you can
Matthew in parts has such patience with customers. I ordered genuine roof bars for my Skoda Fabia, (excellent, competitive price) but for some reason my computer linked the order to my old address. When they never turned up I contacted him and he sorted them out to be redelivered to my new address without any problems. I look forward to using them again, but promise to get my address right!
Many thanks to Mathew in parts who once again gave me great advice on the part needed for my trusty old Fabia VRS. Not only was Mathew spot on with the advice given but ordered the required part and got it delivered to me within two days at a better price than my local Skoda dealer.

Great no-nonsense purchase. I needed some genuine Skoda mats for my Octavia. The Horton site was easy to navigate and easy to use, and the mats arrived next working day. Happy to recommend.
