I am finding the lessons easy to understand and am progressing at my own pace. There is no pressure and it’s easy to understand.

Love the system, was playing initial songs quickly, only one small criticism I found the site awkward to navigate and a little repetitive, but I certainly am enjoying the moment.

About 10 years ago, in my later 60s, I decided to try learning to play the piano.
First I tried a year of conventional one to one lessons with a piano teacher.
Then I tried a year of video based lessons from an online teaching academy. After that I tried app - based learning. I really love the piano but I couldn’t find an approach to learning that was anything other than frustrating - it was all too much effort for too little return.
Having regretfully concluded I didn’t have the necessary aptitude, I gave up after about 3 years. I could play a few grade 2 pieces with lots of practice but the process of learning and playing the piano was no fun at all.
After a break of a few years I chanced upon a YouTube advert for Decplay. I decided it looked sufficiently different to be worth a try. Two years later I am now really, really loving playing the piano. I don’t think about grades or standards any more, I just enjoy playing a wide range of music in a relaxing and fun way. It’s woken up a whole new appreciation of music in me.

DecPLay is a brilliant system that allows you to play your favourite music very quickly, without having to spend years of practice in the traditional style of learning piano.

I joined DecPlay almost two years ago as I had always dreamed of being able to play the piano but never got round to it. The thought of actually reading music I found rather daunting so just put the idea out of my head, until I saw an advert for DecPlay Piano (Piano Made Easy) and thought I will give it a go. I was 89 at the time I joined and I am so glad I did as the course is so well presented and playing by numbers makes it easier to come to terms with and I have found it so much fun and received so much support from Declan and his team. Also I find that other members offer encouragement and it is like being accepted into a large family.

Easy to follow lessons.

As a beginner, I was a little sceptical as to whether this method would actually work for me. Five months in, I have nothing but praise for the support, guidance, continuous communication and the motivation provided by this Group. This definitely is a learning experience which has provided me with a fun way of learning to play the piano.

I am a beginner and even I can follow this method as it is so easy to go at a comfortable pace to suit your individual learning style. I have contacted Declan a couple of times and they have always responded very quickly and they are extremely helpful. Still at the early stages but so far it has been very rewarding as I am now able to see my own progress albeit slow but nevertheless I am still enjoying the challenge.

Very easy to follow at your speed. Also they answer any questions quickly. I originally had easy piano, but could not get questions answered. NOT the case with DecPlay. Not only more one on one, but way cheaper that easy piano.
Obviously I am VERY happy with DecPlay.
I have full confidence that I will meet all my goals. Thank you DecPlay.

I used to play piano as a child but sadly had to give up. Decplay is well designed with help along the way with videos to show you exactly how to do things.

I just love it. The course obviously does require concentration and time but it's all a journey. There are also Zoom meetings in which you can meet others and ask questions.

Fun for those older folk who would love to learn the piano. All at a person's pace and with no hassle.

Excellent introduction to playing piano without having to learn theory and easy to follow the numbers to play music. Like all things give yourself time to learn and you will be amazed at how quickly you will be playing for your family.

After seeing the ad for this piano playing course I listened to the intro about the program and was impressed that I didn’t have to read music. I signed up and bought myself a keyboard that was recommended and I’m so delighted that I made the leap.

Managed to play the tunes of a couple of songs I’m learning. There is a lot of advice on line, music sheets to download for practice and a myriad of other info.
I’ll never be a Liberace but love the process of learning by numbers and it’s a lifelong dream of mine.
So if it’s one of yours.. don’t hesitate and enjoy. I’m 73 and if I can do it so can you.. I’ve never played the piano before!! Thankyou Decplay!!

On the 19th May I will be celebrating the start of a new life. I have always wanted to learn to play the piano since I was about six years old. In fact my family was gifted a piano in a relatives will, but none of us knew how to play it. It was a real Ebony upright and was incredibly beautiful as it had Mother Of Pearl flowers all along the panels. I’ve never forgotten it to this day. Unfortunately on a house move from London to Chester, it vanished, along with my dreams. Until a year ago when my husband bought me a keyboard. I had already found a couple of tuition people on the internet but they weren’t really what I was looking for. That is until I found, yes you’ve guessed it
DecPlay which ticked all the boxes. It definitely is the best form of Piano tuition.
A week later I could play Amazing Grace with relative ease and people could recognise it for what it was. I have not looked back since. I still make loads of mistakes but it’s not a problem because you can learn the course at your own speed.
My music folder is getting bigger and bigger , with the songs and classical music that I can now play. The best thing is the support from Dec and all my fellow players ante absolutely amazing! Just like Grace ha ha. Please do take this opportunity to learn to play the most wonderful instrument on the planet.

Rather than being a very structured and prescribed method of teaching where one size fits all, each student can learn at their own speed of progress finding different tunes and styles which appeal to themselves as well.as discovering a chance to move onto more advanced techniques and how many other people are also learning.
