I used to have a review on here for CIN7, somehow it got deleted? I am baffled at how they have such a high rating so thought I would leave my opinion after years of use.

When I first joined DEAR Inventory, it was an excellent ERP—affordable, functional, and efficient. Then CIN7 took over, and what followed has been a textbook case of enshittification (it's a real word, check it out!)

-Bait and Switch – DEAR was a great product, but CIN7 lured users in with promises of improvement. Instead, we got broken features, bugs that never get fixed, and constant upsells.
-Death by a Thousand Plugins – The system barely works out of the box, forcing you to pay for additional plugins and services—none of which function as promised. You end up paying more just to restore basic functionality, let alone improve your workflows.
-Sunk Cost Hell – The amount of time and money spent trying to make CIN7 work is staggering. Leaving is almost impossible due to the massive investment in setup, training, and customisation. It’s a classic case of locking users in and bleeding them dry.
-Customer Support Black Hole – Support is slow, dismissive, and unhelpful. Fixes are endlessly "in development," but what really gets developed are new ways to charge you more.

If I Knew Then What I Know Now… – I would have never chosen CIN7. If you’re considering it—run. Save yourself the frustration, wasted money, and the eventual regret of realising you've been trapped in an overpriced, underperforming system.

Final Verdict: CIN7 has taken a once-great ERP and systematically degraded it while squeezing users for every last cent. Avoid at all costs.

We've just started using Cin7 and so far it's exactly as we needed. We had some teething issues at set-up but having Dawn with us the whole way through helped significantly. You won't find a more helpful person!
