Minimum card value needs to be $25 not $5.00 dollars

Well, this is my first time and only time I will be using Dcsports87 cards for consignment. Of my sports cards. They were running right at 8 to 10 days behind schedule to post the cards. They never responded to my questions. They kept moving the lead time out, so I asked him just to send my box of cards back, nothing ~ crickets. I had an enormous amount of cards that didn’t sell and we’re talking like Mookie Betts, Justin Verlander, Jackson Jobe & Tarik Skubal. And these weren’t just base cards. Serial number cards didn’t sell. Very very disappointed. I sent them a $50 Jackie Robinson card and it sold for three dollars. Even my Shohei Ohtani card didn’t sell. Because so many of my cards didn’t sell. I owe them a lot of money. And the cards that didn’t sell were easily $5.00 cards.
Just a very, very frustrating and horrible experience I would recommend not using them for your consignment of your precious sports cards.
I read the reviews and they were terrible and I still used them so it’s my bad. But maybe somebody will learn from my mistake.

I sent them 306 cards and they only posted 301 cards so I gotta go through and figure out which ones got lost in the posting of my cards. Because I took pictures of each one down I’ll be able to figure it out.

They do have an incredible dashboard set up which I gotta give them kudos for that?

And their amazing dashboard is the reason I gave them a chance. And all that amazing dashboard does is tell you exactly how much you owe.

I would say you need to send them cards at least $20-$25 in value. Not the $5.00 dollar value that they claim.

Blessings,

Jeff White

Submission dates not correct

I have sent over 2000 cards to DCsports87 over the last year. My experience started off great but has declined dramatically. There business has grown and seems to be focusing on high end card sales now instead of the normal hobby collection. They advertise a pretty good listing date upon submission but expect another 10-15 days added on to that. The last submission was advertised at 15 days but took 20 and then they split my submission up into two groups. The second group of cards were posted 7 days later which means for that group it took 22 days to list for 71 cards. The latest customer service response was that the national convention got them behind. So now my original posting date got pushed out 10 more days without notice. If you watched videos of the national convention they were listing cards same day for customers. This means national convention attendees took precedence over loyal customers that probably helped the business start up and grow. I think it’s time to try some of the smaller consignment companies. I agree they deliver very hateful replies.

Sold cards utilizing them

Sold cards utilizing them, cards when graded and near mint. Ended up losing $$ and there fee's just add insult to injury. Will never use them again to sell. They should allow a reserve to protect seller.

Honest review of my first submission…

Honest review of my first submission with DCSports87. I spoke with customer service before shipping and based my 101-card shipment on their guidance. After it landed, it took 3–5 weeks for everything to list on eBay.

All listings use scans of cards inside top loaders, so a scuffed top loader looks like a scuffed card — expect low bids, because buyers can’t see true condition. Any card that receives no bid at the starting price is not returned or relisted to you, and you’re charged an unsold fee on top of losing it. That was news to me. My submission had 44 no-bid cards, all gone, with extra fees charged on each non sale.

Customer service responds, but don’t expect a resolution. I asked repeatedly for a simple line-item reconciliation of my shipment so the fees would be transparent, and they declined to provide one.

The numbers: I sent roughly $650–$750 in eBay-comparable value. Total sales came to $333. After fees, my account balance is $137.75. I have zero cards left. That’s about 41% of actual sales returned to me — and a fraction of the value I sent in.

Extremely rude customer service team

Extremely rude customer service team. Had them sell over $5000 in cards for me and things were going great. I sent in a parcel to them with both standard and an express submission in separate boxes clearly marked with two separate submission slips. They ended up putting it all as standard because they do not accept combination submissions. I looked for a solution such as maybe them helping me out and just bumping up the entire order just a little bit for the confusion. The customer service person just kept saying the policy over and over again instead of giving me a solution. Then asked me if I could list out which items were express... which is time consuming and nearly impossible for me to recall as it was 20 items. Dcsports is meant to be a pack, ship, and forget about it consignment service. I thought having two card boxes with STANDARD and EXPRESS would be obvious for them. Not using this service ever again. Use COMC or another consignment company.

Declining Service Quality and Repeated Listing Errors

I was a long-time consignor with DC Sports 87 and paid thousands of dollars in fees to the company over the past year. Unfortunately, my experience steadily declined to the point where I decided to permanently move my business elsewhere.

The issues I encountered included:

1.) Repeated listing inaccuracies

2.) Sloppy and inconsistent auction titles

3.) Multiple requests required to correct live listings

4.) Rejected and returned lot submissions

5.) Rising fees while service quality declined

6.) Removal of lot services that were previously offered

7.) A constant need to monitor and micromanage listings myself

The final straw involved a De’Aaron Fox rookie autograph that was listed with inaccurate and incomplete title information. Multiple correction requests were required while the auction was already live. Rather than simply correcting the issue professionally, I received defensive responses and was repeatedly told that their formatting was “industry standard,” despite examples showing otherwise and despite inconsistencies across their own listings.

This appears to be a high-volume operation where speed takes priority over accuracy and attention to detail. That business model may work for consignors who simply want to move large quantities of inventory, but it was not a good fit for someone who values listing accuracy, presentation quality, search visibility, and maximizing realized value.

The De’Aaron Fox card ultimately sold for approximately $80, well below recent comparable sales. While auction outcomes can never be guaranteed, the listing issues and handling of the situation only reinforced my decision to stop using the service.

After paying substantial fees and tolerating these issues, I terminated the relationship and moved my business elsewhere.

I would not recommend this service to consignors who expect careful listing preparation, attention to detail, accurate descriptions, and good customer service.
