Good Service

We purchased a property already installed with a Daxom boiler and have had some issues with the boiler cutting out, appearing to overheat. I called Daxom and the engineers came out on a Saturday, gave the boiler a thorough check over, it needed a software update which was completed there and then, all the settings were checked and since then (a week ago) there have been no further problems. The engineer was extremely knowledgeable and was able to give us some useful information on how to ensure it operates effectively going forward.

No good, piece of cakk!!

No good, as stated in a previous experience, not fit for purpose!! Main electrical wire melts, can't take the amperage!!! Rusty fittings within less than a year, electrician has condemed boiler as unsafe and a fire hazzard.we are now going through the process of using a reputable German make. Save your money and go the extra and buy a well known make. I've pics if anyone wants to see how poor the quality of these boilers are.

Dear Mr Parry,

We are struggling to understand the issues experienced. According to our records you did purchase a Daxom boiler 30th of March 2022.
Our records show that you requested a replacement neutral cable about a year later, on the 18th of April 2023. At the time, you have been contacted by a Daxom engineer with regards to the neutral cable, which was send free of charge, as requested. It was discussed how the cable needs to be installed and that you also be entitled to a free of charge warranty call out during your warranty period for any issues with your boiler. To our knowledge the cable was installed by your self, even so this should have been done by a qualified electrician.

On the 10th of August 2023 you requested another neutral cable, which again was send, as requested free of charge. Since then we have not heard from you at all.

Daxom boilers come with a standard 2 year warranty, terms and condition have to be agreed on, at the time of purchase. This warranty is extendable to 5 years if the boiler is serviced on a yearly base.

We pride ourself to be generous with our warranty, if the installation manual and UK building regulations Part L are complied with.
Unfortunately if we are not informed of any issues or faults we are not able to rectify those. As we don’t know if the installation was compliant with the Daxom installation manual and UK building regulations Part L, we can’t comment further.

Excellent service

Immediate response to our call out request with all spare parts and full service. We needed a plumber and this has been arranged with a full list of requirements for the following week (after the Bank Holiday). Electric boilers are a new experience for us and we were grateful for such an efficient service.

Not suitable for hard water areas

After 2 years of problems and finally a risk of fire, I have replaced the Daxon combi electric boiler with another make.
The so called DIY repair was performed when Daxom engineer installed the replacement boiler.
I have no evidence of the hard water test but the system was fed by a water softener.

Dear Mr Pye,

Any appliance heating water, from a boiler to a kettle is prone to suffer from hard water - lime scale, there is no exception, regardless of brand.

The water hardness at your property was measured in excess of 285 ppm. Above 200 ppm is considered very hard water.

We have made you aware about the water quality issues at your property back in 2022 and did advise on measures to control it, we refer again to BS7593:2019 “hard water - lime scale prevention - water treatment“.

The burnt out neutral cable was caused by a diy repair, unless you are a qualified electrician diy repairs on electrical components should not be attempted.

I have an expectional experience with....

I have an expectional experience with this company. I have got for 4 flats with a boiler each. Rarely have problems and whenever it happens, there is always a positive and quick response. Easy and friendly communication.
So, I do greatly recommend them.

Bolier not fit for purpose

We bought three phase 35kw combi boiler. It has never worked properly. Overheated and cutout with even minor pressure and flow changes. Advised it was because of our fluctuating water pressure. Water company checked our incoming and advised this was stable. Even after flow and pressure regulation, turning down power input and desired output water temperature having a shower was a gamble as to wether it would stay hot for the duration and not revert to incoming mains temperature.

Basically the system does not seem to be able to react in a timely manner to prevent overheating. After many discussions with supplier over 18 months, and many adjustments, we removed this and installed another boiler from a different manufacturer. This is able to run two showers at the same time with no overheating - bliss.

Other boilers and systems may be fine - but this one for us was not. An expensive mistake.

The boiler was sold to you by your contractor and installed by a third party heating engineer and your contractor without any involvement from Daxom UK Ltd.

We would like to clarify once more, what has been explained on a site visit on the 15th of April 2022. It was identified that the mains cold water incoming pressure was fluctuating and the incoming flow rate was fluctuating between 9 and 12 litres in very short sequence.
This fluctuation within seconds was 25 % in flow rate.

The engineers did adjust to the best possible, with the isolator valve in place and did recommend to adjust the flow rate on the hot water outlet of the boiler rather then the cold water inlet, the only isolator available at the time. The DHW flow rate was set to 9 litre per minute at 50 degree. You agreed to have the contractor install an isolator valve to the hot water outlet pipe of the boiler.

On the 19th of April 2022 you did send Daxom the email below.

Pleased to report that we are now consistently getting an acceptable shower and can get enough thot water for the washing up.  Although it is insufficient to run two nice showers.  I note that whilst the device can be silent when pump is running, it remains noisy when fa is active.  I am hoping this will improve once we have resolved the water supply issues.  Has clearly been a challenge working out what to do here as this is not a problem you have faced before.  I will keep you posted on progress

At this stage you confirmed that the delivery of DHW was inline with what was possible with the incoming supply, yet the goal was to run two “nice” showers at the same time.

We had further updates from you and have given further advise, however we have not been asked for another site visit nor have we seen any documentation on work under taken or work sheets of anything carried out by your contractor or any other third party.

Therefor we don’t know if and what work was carried out to rectify the pressure and flow issues related to the water supply of the property.

On the 12th of December 2023 you send Daxom the following email with a refund request,

A further update. We have got rid of your boiler and installed a different one from another manufacturer. This works perfectly. It can produce hot water at 60 degrees without cutting out due to overheating. It can also maintain a constant temperature with fluctuating demands for water within the house. And, it restarts automatically after loss of power.

Our reply was that we will consider it, if you let us know the boiler model installed, which you did.

What you have installed now is a boiler with 16% lower kW capacity, and a 25% lower domestic hot water output capacity then the previous. Looking at those figures the water flow fluctuation was 25% in seconds from 12 litre to 9 litre and back up and down. So you have installed a boiler that is limited to the possibilities with your 9 litre incoming water supply and gone away with demanding “two nice hot showers at the same time”.

As said previous, we have not found a fault with the boiler on our visit, we also have not been involved in identifying the circumstances within your property nor been involved in rectifying your water supply issues.

All we can do at this stage is, agree to disagree! We do understand your disappointment, but from our point, neither Daxom UK Ltd, nor the product is at fault.

In all my dealings with Daxom, from initial enquiry to supply and installation and more recently servicing I have to say I have been impressed and very pleased. If you’re considering fitting an electric boiler I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Daxom.

Daxom electric combi boiler

Bought a Daxom electric combi boiler which was supplied very quickly. Easy to use and delivers heat and fantastic instant shower water due to integrated hot water tank. Slight issue with boiler developed that Uwe diagnosed over video call but couldn’t fix so he drove up from Surrey to my house in Merseyside to repair. Incredible after sales support, nobody else would do that. Very very highly recommend the product and dealing with Uwe.

Great Boiler! Perfect For Us!

We bought a flat in January which had no central heating or gas supply which meant the cost of installing this would be very high. I found the Daxom boiler through chance on google and loved the idea that we can have stored hot water on demand. This means we have the ability to have baths and good flow rate which is not common with other brands of electric boilers. Ordering and delivery was very easy. We had a small issue after installing and Uwe was very friendly and determined to fix the issue. He came out right away and had great communication with us about updates and what the next step would be. We've had the boiler for 6 months now and it has been perfect for us. Heating works really well and quickly, and Hot water is instant.

Thank goodness for Daxom engineer Uwe Koenig who came to our rescue after our Daxom boiler was badly installed by a local gas plumbing firm. Uwe has gone above and beyond in his care of us as customers and the boiler is running great. We appreciate the fact that he keeps in contact to make sure we are satisfied. Happy that we are in a gas free house now.

Great boiler and service

Great boiler and service. I had this delivered to Northern Ireland where there was no Daxom engineer in place (this may soon change however).Daxom were on hand to provide advice as well as check the installation by FaceTime to ensure that everything was in order. Really great support. The boiler itself is economical and perfect for the two bedroom apartment that previously was on Economy 7 heating. The space where the previous water tanks were house is now used for a Laundry area and storage. I cannot recommend this product and solution enough.

Had a pressure vessel fail and contacted Daxom yesterday and today they arrived and replaced it without a hitch...great service and care...what a gentleman!

Great After Sales Service

We have had our Daxom boiler for Approx 21 months and recently had a minor problem. This was resolved quickly and without any hassle by Daxom. Fantastic help by Uwe both on the phone and in person. All issues resolved. I can highly recommend both the boilers and the after sales service.

Excellent and prompt service from start…

Excellent and prompt service from start to finish - on the phone and in person. The boiler arrived when specified and was installed quickly and efficiently by DN Installations. We will definitely recommend the product and the service and will use Dave for our annual services.
We look forward to saying goodbye to our gas tank and hello to heating our home from our solar panels and the Daxom boiler.

Great produce and customer service

I was a bit wary at first…expense…not very well known (eg compared to Fischer)…but I have been so impressed with the support and the product itself. It is the only electric combi boiler (which does not require a three phase supply)…it is efficient (cheaper than LPG and from taking to neighbours cheaper than Air Source!)…space saving…quiet…cheap! It is perfect for my cottage (as didn’t want oil) and not much storage space (so got rid of tank)…it gives me running hot water and quickly heats my rads and underfloor heating. Also great service, professional, knowledgeable, always available for technical support (both Dave and Uwe) and what i liked is that Uwe didn’t give you a hard sell (like Fischer)…really happy Thanks
