Terrible airport, you must avoid at all costs if you can. I would give it less than 1 star if it was possible.

Was waiting in security and got to the front of the queue about to put my bag on to get scanned when a member of staff jumped in front of my and proceeded to say “I work here you wait”

All the staff around the security desk were all hostile, asking where i was from and pulling rude faces, absolutely disgusting behaviour, everyone of them should not be allowed to work here any longer.

Worst airport in the world, and worst staff ever, DO NOT COME HERE!!

Absolutely appalling customer service.

We were waiting for our gate at Dalaman Airport and sat down at all sports bar because the football was on. We hadn’t agreed to buy anything, weren’t told there was a minimum spend and weren’t expecting anything for free. We were simply watching the match while waiting for our flight.

I decided to order a bottle of water anyway. The menu clearly showed €3.

I ordered ONE bottle.

The member of staff then made a huge issue of the fact there were five of us and insisted we should buy five bottles. I said no — I wanted one bottle. He became incredibly awkward and confrontational about something that should have been completely straightforward.

So I moved to the communal seating area, where I could still watch the football.

He then turned the TV off.

I couldn’t believe it.

When I previously offered to pay for the water, the price had suddenly become €5. I asked to see the menu showing €5. The menu I had ordered from had conveniently disappeared.

I was told the €3 price I’d seen was apparently for another shop.

I even said I’d pay the €5 if he could simply show me that was the advertised price. He refused. So I refused to pay and left the bottle and moved to communal seating.

And apparently the justification for all of this was “airport prices.”

Airport prices I can accept. What I can’t accept is changing the price after the customer has ordered, refusing to show the advertised price, pressuring someone to buy five items when they only want one, and then turning off the football because they moved to communal seating.

And nearly £20 for a can of beer? Come on. 😂

The ridiculous thing is, I hadn’t even planned to buy anything from the place. I chose to spend money there. One bottle of water should have been an easy sale.

Instead, the attitude of one member of staff was so poor that I walked away and spent nothing.

Absolutely shocking behaviour. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. All other shops and food eateries all the same. Dalaman airport - you embarrass your country!

Enorme rooklucht op de luchthaven dankzij niet werkende rookruimtes.

Bij gate 36 & 35 is het niet mogelijk om normaal adem te halen, ook tijdens het lopen naar deze gate stinkt het enorm.

Dit is niet normaal, begrijp dat u iets voor rokers wilt doen maar worg er dan wel voor dat andere klanten en kinderen niet rooklucht en gif moeten inademen

Security didnt seem to understand the difference between a knitting needle that are banned and crochet hooks that arent banned. Unwilling to discuss and was taken. However scissors were allowed through. Absolute joke of a security team and pointing incorrect words in english just made it more frustrating. Major language barrier and ridiculous rules. Also £25 for a mcdonalds meal, just crazy pricing.

Probably the worst airport in the world. Hostile staff who all seem so unhappy to be there - i didnt see a single smile in the 4 hours we were there.

Security checks are a joke. What possible reason could logically explain scanning and checking hand luggage 6 times between entering the airport and boarding the airplane? Makes absolutely no sense.

Having just 1 desk open to check in an entire easyJet flight is madness, too.

For wifi, you have to swipe your passport at the kiosk next to the Haribo shop to get a code. But the kiosk doesnt work and hasnt worked for the last 7 months, apparently.

Duty free is a complete rip off. €80 for a bottle that you can buy in sainsburys for £20. A 500g bar of dairy milk for €16! And a 500ml bottle of water for €5.

There are only 4 toilets - all of which absolutely stink - and there are queues of 15 minutes at the ladies. The level of hygiene is so poor. you feel disgusting when you come out of the toilet.

Overall, the airport is a joke and leaves a very negative impression on passengers who have, otherwise, enjoyed a fairly decent time in Turkey. The airport management should be embarrassed and ashamed at the awful service they provide.

This is our 3rd trip to Turkey but will be our last via Dalaman airport. A total disgrace.

went here to fly back from holiday. could not believe the the prices of everthing even mcdonalds total rip off about £20 for a big max meal. free water avalible but hidden away and hard to find and free wifi you have to q up for. worst airport i've ever been too

I had an extremely distressing experience at Dalaman Airport that has left me feeling anxious about travelling again.
We were made to go through security, then a bag check, then security again, and finally another security check at the boarding gate. By this point, I was already feeling overwhelmed.
I have Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), which causes seizures and drop attacks. I asked for assistance, but instead of receiving help, I was treated very rudely. Staff appeared not to understand what I was saying and dismissed me rather than trying to help.
The stress and heat caused me to collapse. Instead of calmly assessing the situation, several staff members surrounded me, shouting and demanding that I be taken away for further checks. My mum repeatedly explained that I have FND and that the collapse was caused by the heat and stress, and that if they gave me some space, I would recover. However, they ignored what she was saying.
To make matters worse, we were told that I might not be allowed to board the flight, which only added to the panic and stress.
This was an awful experience. I had finally built up the confidence to go on my first holiday despite living with FND, but the way I was treated at the airport has completely knocked my confidence and has made me question whether I ever want to travel again.
I hope Dalaman Airport reviews the way staff are trained to deal with passengers who have hidden disabilities and medical conditions. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, especially during a medical episode.

The food prices are horrendous, I thought other places were expensive but nothing compared to this place, I had a turkey ham and cheese roll, cheese and onion crisps, and a bottle of coke, and she passed me the card machine I tapped my phone and seen on my monzo app that id just been charged £28, I dont think anywhere in the world would be that price, middle of london or on the las vegas strip or new York, I think a boycott on the food at this airport is the only way forward to stop them from doing it, the only good part I can say about the airport is the lads the push you around in the wheel chair were good, as I had a fractured ankle, he helped me out alot and was friendly, but the security here is full on aswell, getting drugged swiped and checked repeatedly,

Dalaman departure lounge is the worst place on earth for pricing you will probably ever find. If you are due to leave from here then make sure you either eat before you arrive here or bring plenty of snacks with you. Because you have to leave any fluids behind before you go through security, wait for the pricing of any drinks once you get through to the lounge, absolute rip off.

A family of 4 eating McDonalds meal deals will likely have a bill of sale 70-75 euros.

It’s interesting to watch how many people walk into shops to buy something and walk straight back out with nothing at all.

So disappointing. Turkey is a wonderful place to visit...outside of this airport.

This is the 3rd time we've used it and it's the same every time.

The staff are rude and slow, and communication is horrendous.

However the thing that really gripes me is the ridiculous prices for items within the airport, £20 for a big mac meal is so poor. Limited free WiFi. And no free water, especially when flights are delayed is just a basic human requirement.

£20 for a happy meal, I'm not even joking. The entire place is outrageously expensive.

Very very expensive airport to wait in. Example: a 500ml bottle of still water costing more than 6 euros !!!!!!!! How can they justify this? The "free water" tap to fill our own bottles didn't work and, when I asked a member of staff about this, he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Also, the seats are very uncomfortable wooden slats, which become uncomfortable after only a few minutes. This isn't nice as, surprise surprise, people have to often WAIT a long time in the departures area. There are comfortable seats available in the expensive cafes and restaurants around, but you have to pay their extortionate prices to sit on. There were only four women's toilets available and these were very busy with a very long queue. Not a very good end to our holiday.

Spectacularly bad. Security checks every four steps, disinterested staff and you need to sell a kidney to buy chicken nuggets.

The prices are crazy ! It’s so expensive for food and drink and there’s barely anywhere to sit also there is no AC .

Very expensive, cheapest food was £51 for 2 McDonald meals and 1 Popeyes chicken!! Duty free pricing also expensive
No WiFi, you had to pay for that. Turkey is beginning to outprice itself.

Bring sandwhixhband water with you as yku pay 25 plus pounds for a kids burger and chips with a can of coke mental prices for such a cheap country

I will avoid using Dalaman Airport in the future unless absolutely necessary - and if I do, I’ll make sure not to spend a single euro or pound there.
The check-in experience was unpleasant. Staff were rude and claimed the flight was full, suggesting I check my cabin bag into the hold despite holding a priority pass. Once onboard, I noticed plenty of empty seats, which made the earlier claim questionable.
Additionally, the staff were aggressively monitoring luggage weight, seemingly trying to catch passengers out unnecessarily. Be prepared for three separate security checks - you’re not truly cleared until you’re on the plane, which adds to the stress and inconvenience.
The airport’s amenities are also disappointing. Free Wi-Fi is limited to just 30 minutes, and to access another 30 minutes, you must spend a minimum of EUR 25.
Food and drink prices are exorbitant. At the All Sports Bar, I ordered a steak sandwich for EUR 12.50 and a glass of rosé for EUR 9. However, the waitress discreetly served a mini bottle (150–200ml) instead of a glass, which was later charged at EUR 19. After a lengthy discussion with the staff and manager, I received a EUR 5 discount, but still ended up paying EUR 40 in total.
This experience left me wondering if there’s any airport more expensive or less accommodating than Dalaman. I would not recommend spending time or money here.

Wat een slechte beurt voor Turkije. Werkelijk schandalige prijzen voor eten en drinken. Luchthavens zijn al belachelijk duur maar Dalaman Airport slaat werkelijk alles. Pure diefstal. Turkse broodje € 12,00, Big Mac menu € 20,50....enz. Vorig jaar was het hier al belachelijk duur maar dit jaar hebben ze er nog een schepje bovenop gedaan.

The absolute worst airport I've ever been in, my bf got a £55 charge for a small carry on case even though it was included in the price, staff about as helpful as a chocolate tea pot, the prices on duty free are basically normal prices in the uk soccer point on buying anything, we were sat at our gate waiting for the plane they changed our gate and never announced it so just by chance I looked at the board and noticed the change so me and 3 travel partners 1 who's severely limited on her movements had to mad dash to the opposite end of the airport then the delay on the plane my god the toilets were vulgar, honestly if you see your flight is out or in to Dalaman literally see if you can change to Antalya save yourselves a whole lot of trouble

Was told and on reciept I could carry a bottle of spirit ( which was sealed up in bag and reciept i brought from birmingham airport!
It states in " hold bag " not my suitcase which I did !
They confiscated this ! Called in jet2 rep, she said as it was in my bag , and not a " bagpack " whats the bloody difference in my eyes? I couldn't take it through !!! As I had 100% proof where I brought it !
As for there behaviour to a first time solo traveller / plus im disabled they made me look a fool infront of everyone , and thought it was amusing ! Obviously in reality they got the hump it wasn't brought at there airport " which i had to buy again "!!! So £35 pound out of pocket !!
Dalaman airport is the worst place I've ever travelled through, and there behaviour against your race does exist with them !!
Will never return to turkey again !!
