I appreciate the ability to get…

I appreciate the ability to get tretinoin without waiting for a derm appointment, but I hate their business model. They auto subscribe you to pay for shipments every 2 months (way too frequently for my needs) and if you cancel the subscription you have to pay fees again next time you want to order it. They also automatically put a bunch of extra crap in your order box that you have to figure out how to remove bc it all costs extra. For example, I did not request emergency spot treatment patches at any point in time, but somehow they have sent me them and charged me for them many times. I’m sure it says this is all allowed somewhere in fine print but it’s kinda scummy to me.

I cannot recommend this brand enough. Absolutely amazing customer service & my skin reacts very well to the chemicals they combine. I feel heard & taken care of which exceeds my expectations for any large online company.

Never tried, and now never will!

Can't speak to their products as I never got as far as even trying them. I decided to try them as I needed a 5% spironolactone cream for my hormone related comedone issues on my forehead after starting HRT, and didnt want to do oral version.

So I started with their $5.45 trial offer just to find out the "custom" blends aren't really custom. My assigned provider offered me the cream, but only with clindamycin and azelic acid in it. Told her as my case is mild and doesn't include deep pimples or infection only excess sebum causing more white and blackheads, I would prefer the cream without the antibiotic. Also stated I already use an azelic acid so it was not necessary either.

I was then told that the blend was my only option. So we decided I would need to get it elsewhere and cancelled my trial and subscription. All of this was done within 30 minutes.

I then was told I needed to email their CS at Hello@curology. com to get a refund for my trial box, which I did, as asked; including all the requested info (name, address, phone number, and email connected to account.

Ive now recieved 3 emails back stating that email is not connected to an account (really odd since I had already received 8 confirmation and message a emails from Curology about the order there) and asking for the exact same info again.

Feel like I dodged a bullet here. Any company that refuses to refund a trial offer (literally $5.45) and instead makes it a whole unnecessary time consuming process ESPECIALLY when they couldn't even supply the cream I need is a huge red flag to me.

Good luck if you actually try them out. Glad I used PayPal so I can dispute the charge if it comes down to that.

Upon canceling an incomplete account durring the sign up flow, the trial refund is automatically refunded. I can confirm that your trial invoice has already been refunded back you with an email confirmation. We recommend checking your email that email sent from our team confirming this. We also apologize for any prior email confusion caused as well.

Absolutely horrible experience & Customer Service was even worse

I'd rate my experience a -0 if possible! The customer service is horrible!

I signed up for the $5 sample pack on January 15th, 2026. I received the it quickly on January 17th, that same day, I tried it out. Within a couple hours my face broke out with an extremely red itchy rash covering my entire face and down my neck. So that same night, the same day I received the package, I canceled immediately! I canceled to make sure i was never charged and sent a product that gave me such a horrible experience. I remember VIVIDLY canceling because it was extremely frustrating having to constantly be asked if I was sure I wanted to continue my cancellation, over and over.

Fast forward to February 14th, I'm charged $94.88!
This unauthorized charge put my account into the negative $67. Which left me and my kids with no money to make it until payday. To make it even worse, my bank then charges me an overdraft fee of $38!
When I noticed the charges, I reached out immediately! The only way I could find to reach a customer service employee was through email which was extremely frustrating, especially given the urgent financial situation it left me in. I did hear back that same day and was EXTEMELY upset by the response. I was told unless I could "prove" that I canceled when I said I did, then basically I was out of luck. Then made it seem like they were doing me a favor or helping by making sure that my subscription was canceled this time.
I'm a business owner and my email is primarily used for that, so I explained that there's no way for me to "prove" myself by providing a screen shot of their cancel confirmation email from over a month before. Any emails I receive that aren't documents or business related are deleted immediately otherwise I'd have an overwhelming amount of unorganized emails. Which would make it difficult to run my business. I explained this to them. I also expressed that I was very offended being asked to prove that I wasn't lying about canceling my subscription. I also requested a refund as soon as possible and also a prepaid return shipping label for the unwanted package I'd be receiving in the mail.

I never heard anything back from them, so again on February 18th, I sent another email requesting the same. Then again on February 24th, without a single reply from Curology!

I'm so incredibly disgusted with the lack of empathy they have for their customers, especially in a situation that's at NO fault of their customer!

Not to mention after being told they can't issue a refund, I come onto TRUSTPILOT and see there a multiple people with very similar situations who have been given a "CURTESY REFUND"!!
So it's absolutely possible to issue a refund, they just pick and choose who not to give them to. Now I understand you probably can't issue every refund request, especially for no reason. I have a very legitimate and serious reasoning. They just don't seem to care enough about the situation they put me in. I honestly should also be requesting an additional $38 reimbursement for the overdraft fee I got hit with because of the unauthorized charge they issued!

I reached out again today via text, hoping someone higher up is able to assist me in a more professional and empathetic way!

First I wanted to further explain our services. The trial is meant to last for the first 30 days of your subscription. From there, your full-sized shipment and associated invoice will process & bill according to the items selected. As a courtesy, we sent an email reminder beforehand to help ensure you were aware and prepared for your upcoming shipment. As no account changes were made, your order was processed as scheduled.

Regarding canceling, after an account has been canceled, a confirmation email is sent. Our team may ask for a screenshot of this cancelation email if an account appears as active in our system but a member reaches out about canceling prior. I sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused by this, we understand that some emails may be immediately deleted by members.

We completely understand how frustrating unwanted charges can be and so I can confirm our sent you an email with additional information.

Terrible customer service

The product worked okey. For what you pay for you don’t get nearly enough. This isn’t the reason for the 1 star review. I got one of the three orders I paid for. They said incomplete address so I changed my address. Still never got any of my orders. It’s nearly impossible to talk to an actual person and the robot was extremely unhelpful. I’ve been trying to get a refund for the orders I never received but still haven’t been able to talk to an actual person about it. It’s a scam and all the reviews and before and after pictures on their website are lies.

For the amount they charge it isn’t worth it!!! Especially if you have sensitive skin it made my skin 10 worse than what it was

A company that truly cares!

Both Abby & Amy were amazing!

I received a new custom formula that I use on my face for my acne, as I do every 3 months, however this one felt super grainy. It felt as if I were rubbing sand on my face, which is very odd because it has always been super smooth. I reached out to the Curology Success Team and had the pleasure of speaking with Abby & Amy on my issue. They were happy to send me a new bottle AND a prepaid shipping label for me to send my original bottle back to them, so they could review it. Talk about going above and beyond!

This type of customer service is especially hard to come by these days, and it really meant everything to me that they actually cared. They locked me in as a lifelong customer! Thank you for being human beings and having care in your hearts. :)

Early boxes, early charges, 0 accountability.

The company sent me a 60-day prescription on 1/11/26. When I checked my mail on 2/23/26, I found another package that I did not authorize or request.

I immediately contacted the number provided and explained that I had not approved an early shipment or charge to my card. I informed them that I was canceling my account and requested a refund.

They responded that the order was shipped on 2/19 and stated they could not assist with a refund. I provided a photo of the medication bottle showing it was filled on 2/20 and asked how it could have shipped on 2/19 if it was not filled until the following day. I also asked why I was no longer receiving advance notifications regarding upcoming subscription shipments.

My questions were not clearly addressed, and no refund was offered. I have documented all communication and retained screenshots. I reiterated that I wanted a refund, no longer trust the company, and was canceling my account. I also stated that I would be filing complaints with the BBB and the FTC.

They indicated the matter had been escalated and that I should expect follow-up.

Based on what I am seeing, similar concerns appear to be common with this company. Charging customers for prescription refills they did not request, particularly when the medication has a limited expiration window, raises serious concerns about billing practices and patient trust.

No subscription notifications

They send an email after your trial ends letting you know that your full size product will ship soon. But after that, they don't notify you when you'll be charged or when your next product will be shipped--they count on people forgetting, only getting notified when a charge goes through--and then they don't offer cancellations or refunds.

Customer Service was awful

Customer Service was awful! I did the trial and was never told about a shipment coming out then had $108 taken from my account and they could not even help me figure out how to get that money back. I cannot afford paying that for something that may or may not work because the trial size showed me nothing it barely got me through a week. This product is not amazing or save all for your skin it is very trial and error and extremely pricey. They don’t send reminders to remind you to cancel and can’t provide any help for people that have that unexpected charge. There is skincare companies that are just as good that also have good customer service but this one doesn’t.

Curology products are very good but the…

Curology products are very good but the way they handle subscription issues not so much. Unlike any other company I have a subscription with, Curology does NOT send out a pre-shipping notification that you have a shipment coming up so you have a chance to postpone. I got an email that a shipment had been sent. I thought I’d canceled my subscription, so I immediately contacted the company and asked how I could return the order since I didn’t need it. I was informed they have a no return policy and there was nothing they could do for me. I have been a customer off and on for a decade, and have spent a lot of money with this company. This is not how you create happy customers.

Will not let me cancel subscription

I took a beauty quiz for curology and at the end it said I could get my suggested product for free and only pay 5$ for shipping, but in doing this, I signed up for a subscription. It did not tell me that I was signing up for this, and I did not want to sign up, and it took my credit card info from that shipping purchase and said it was automatically going to charge me for all these products that it said I needed. I did not want to do this, so I go to cancel my subscription, and when I try to do that, a hair quiz pops up and I do it thinking that it would let me unsubscribe if I did this. Then I try to see my account if the unsubscribing worked but every time I login it takes me to checkout this hair product and the only option is to buy it, and when i click out, it logs me out, and once I login again the same problem happens. So at this point I cannot access my account (besides buying this hair product) to tell if I canceled my subscription, and I'm going to be charged soon. They are not helpful at all, and I got scammed into this, and I'm trying to get scammed into more, so please DON'T use curology.

They are always very quick at… Responding and Helping

They are always very quick at responding! I have found them all to be very kind and understanding and also personal. I feel like I am really talking to someone and they want to help me; they want to find ways to make sure I am accommodated and I really appreciate their help every time!!! I really do love this company and their support team! No lie at all, they really do always help resolve any issues I may run into.

Great Service and Knowledgeable Staff

I was very impressed with the kind and close attention I received after having a medical issue that required changes to my formula.It showed me that the dermatologists are well trained from a medical standpoint. My dermatologist, Ainidel,wrote me a very detailed letter about my situation, offering to replace my formula immediately and for free. I then received a message from a member of staff, Lana , who expressed her sincere concerns and wished me well. I feel confident that I am in good hands….and my skin looks great!!
