Did the Windsor Castle and Afternoon Tea on the river trip this week. Well organised, relaxed, solid value, highly recommended.

Excellent service door to door, cannot rate highly enough - thanks guys ☺️
no communication ever
no communication ever. between them and mears I should have stuck with accent. poor communication expectation of fixing half the stuff myself and paying for damages due to unseen leaks. wouldn't recommend
Date night
Went for a
Meal with my husband and we had excellent service and food very attentive friendly and relaxed atmosphere would go back again
Wouldn’t order again
The fish we had was not cod and had no flavour. Definitely gone down hill.
Shoddy treatment
Had booked Christmas cruise January this year, took my deposit and full payment July 2025. Yesterday ( Sept 8th ) was cancelled due to lack of interest. A very matter of fact phone call was not offered an alternative or even an apology.
Doesn’t want criticism
Doesn’t want criticism. On the coach you are given a very short survey but jokingly they say over the tannoy that any negative ones will be destroyed. I well believe that. I emailed the company with genuine points about my trip and they didn’t respond.
Disgusting drivers
The driver coming to Folkestone School for Girls is showing middle finger to other driver unprovoked. Just because he wanted .
Very rude and disgusting. The girls are very afraid of his. They said he's scary.😡

Absolutely atrocious
Landlord too busy on the phone discussing payment plans with suppliers
'Landlady' too busy playing with chalk
£6.30 for a pint of Guinness? Seriously?
Avoid at all costs
Bookeda table for 2.15pm
Booked a table for 2.15pm, by 3.30pm we had only had a round of drinks and our starters, after another 10 minute with finally got out main meal.
Beef dinner ... beef was advertised as served pink, best I can say it was at least tender.
Roast potatoes were stale and cold also overwhelming in garlic. Rest of the veg was also cold and past its eat by
date.
Yorkshire puddings were tough, stale and inedible.
Service was very slow and not attentive at all .
AVOID
Disappointing food
Perhaps there were not enough staff, but on arrival we found tables that had glasses on and in need of a wipe down. We cleared the table ourselves and asked a member of staff to clean the table.
My pizza had a very thin layer of tomato and cheese. I ordered a side dish of mediteranean salad and recieved a bowl of floppy leaves and some mixed grains. When I asked the lady serving about it she said the tomato, pepper and butternut squash was in there but cut small. I didn't agree. She said it was how it had been sent to them.
I would not recommend this branch of Weatherspoons.
Having visited here for lunch a couple…
Having visited here for lunch a couple of months previous (which was fantastic) I booked a table of 6 for Sunday lunch with friends we hadn’t seen for several years. Really friendly greeting, and shown our table, and told a server would be over in a few minutes to take our drinks order, after 15 minutes I had to go to the bar to ask for service. The young lady was very pleasant and apologetic for not getting our order. Drinks arrived fairly promptly along with the Sunday food menu. We asked the young lady if the music could be turned down a bit as was finding difficult to hear conversation at our table. Surely, the music should be just background, not at a level which drowns out conversation at your table. In fairness this was turned down after 3/4 minutes which was great. We gave our order and food arrived about 10 minutes later. Sadly, all a bit…meh!! and the gammon on the mixed roast was nothing more than a rasher of back bacon. Annoyingly for a couple of our party there was no lamb roast on the menu?? Puzzling or what??. Also, be aware, you only get a small jug of gravy with your meal, which really isn’t sufficient to cover your roast, and extra jugs are £1.95 each. Again, about 15/20 minutes after finishing our meals we had to look for a server to clear our table, and ask for the dessert menu. These arrived and were at best okay. Sadly, for the third time we had to find a server to get our bill, which when it came quite promptly found they add 10% service charge for tables of 6 or more, which would be fine if we’d had good service. A table next to us had 4 people and they were attended far better than us (restaurant wasn’t even busy!!) so feel this was a bit cheeky. I believe 3 stars is about as much as I can give, and deserved.
Worse fish and chips I've had.
My wife picked up fish, chips and musshy peas. The batter on the fish was almost black and the fish inside was dry and over cooked. The chips were pale dry and flavourless.
Possibly the worse meal I've had.
I gave one star because that was the minimum I could select.
We went lunch time
We went lunch time, lovely pub and service was excellent, my husband ordered pork belly which looked amazing and he was very happy with it, I ordered steak pie and I'm afraid was very disappointed the tiny bits of beef I did find were very chewy and inedible, which was such a shame as everything else was lovely! Hardly any beef and what I did have was chewy, such a shame would not visit again.
Disappointing:- We were all looking…
Disappointing:- We were all looking forward to Sunday lunch at the newly reopened Cross Keys in Wanborough but we were not impressed. The service was slow the staff were pleasant enough but all very inexperienced and could learn from more guidance and training. This is no fault of their own. We ordered our lunch to be told there was no Brisket left. We had two children in our party and one wanted a child’s roast we asked for chicken but they do not do a child’s chicken apparently only Beef or Gammon so we had to order an adult chicken meal. We didn’t get asked if our food was okay after it was served. Empty glasses and dishes were slow to be cleared. The food was okay the mash was very peppery. You also have to pay extra if you would like more gravy. We ordered dessert all priced at £7.95 which I thought was bit pricey. Five of the party ordered cheesecake the portions varied in size some were very small and a couple were twice the size. I mentioned this to the waitress and she brought another person over to us to say that they had a couple of bits left she was aware they were bigger slices but gave them to us as it was the end of the cheesecake.
Surely the whole cheesecake should be marked in to equal pieces before serving that way everyone gets the same size slice. There were no dessert choices on the menu for the children. Most places have ice cream or something for the children. One of the party was drinking Jack Daniel’s we wanted to order another glass and was told the Jack Daniel’s had run out. Most pubs would have extra supplies so they don’t run out. The pub itself is nice and the gardens are great for the children but this pub needs to take on board the feedback given to them implement it.
Day trip to Columbia Rd flower Market and Spitalfields market
Been on a day trip today to Columbia Rd flower Market and Spitalfields market with Crosskeys, usual 1st class service, comfortable clean coaches, good timekeeping and lovely driver who kept us informed and got us there and back safely, recommended
Terrible company
Terrible company. Leave early leave you behind then blame passengers and then expect a thank you. Had massive panick attack.
Go somewhere else
We ordered 3 burgers two chicken one beef cheese and bacon at the bat as the waitress was nowhere to be found and then had to wait 45 minutes for the food which only came after we had then chased twice. The food when it came was awful the burgers were cremated the buns burnt and the chips full of cooking fat … looked like reheats… the beef burger was inedible so the staff referred us to an elder gentleman who removed just that one meal from the bill. No apologies were given
