Cross builders recently renovated our west facing side elevation. It was difficult to access and had problems with missing,broken and damaged Kent peg tiles. Following work it not only looks great but is now completely weatherproof.
All in all a good job carried out on time with minimal disruption

Very efficient work done by Jay. I was kept fully informed as the job progressed and everything was done to a high standard.

We had Jay round to quote a few pieces of repair work. What an absolute gent who was incredibly helpful and informative every step of the way, both before and during the work. He really loves his work and he really knows his stuff.

He is *incredibly* clean (I had to look around the house to see where he'd been). The house was left spotless and we were incredibly impressed with the quality of work. So much so we'll be having him back soon for further projects.

Having had a schedule of condition report completed in early 2023 by Godden Allen Law, it was clear a great deal of work was required to bring the outside of my property up to scratch. I contacted Jay Cross around September and asked him for a quote to cover every element of the report. He came to my home and we discussed the works and time and cost estimates. He was very engaging, and it was obvious that he was incredibly passionate about the work he completes. During the 2-3 week building works, you barely heard him or his team, except for an occasional waft of Classical music coming from his radio. He completed the work to a very high standard, talking me through any little surprises he found as he was working, explaining options to address these new issues, always allowing me to make the call on what I wanted to do. He even did some weeding to the front of the house while they were working!

He left the property, clean and tidy at the end of each day, often working on until 6-7pm. To the point where my wife would say, "go home, you've done enough for today".

On completion of the works, you would not know they had been here, except that my house is now the nicest looking one on the street.

I take no hesitation whatsoever, in recommending him. He is a really lovely, passionate guy, who truly loves what he does. I look forward to working with him on future projects.

We’ve used Jay for various building work in our mid-Victorian house. The latest was a repair and renovation of our shower room following a massive and very damaging leak. Like all previous jobs it was done in the promised time frame and to a very high standard and reasonably priced for the amount of work and materials needed.
