Ordered a three-month keto snack subscription through Cratejoy as a gift and the recipient only received two of the three boxes. Since Cratejoy makes it impossible to interact with a human when there is a problem, and since their ai system never responded to my several complaints, the issue was never resolved. Do not use Cratejoy.
Hit or Miss Experiences
I ordered 2 subscription boxes from 2 separate distributors. One shipped rather quickly, and my youngest son was extremely happy with it! Working on the activities together was great bonding for us (a cooking box).
The box for my oldest son, a Pokemon box from a separate distributor, did not ship until I wrote Cratejoy support and repeatedly requested a refund. Even then, the distributor did not send a tracking number for the box they finally said they had shipped. It took a month before the distributor replied at all with any sort of status update.
Though I am highly disappointed in the lack of communication from the Pokémon box distributor, I am thrilled with the I'm a Chef Too box, and with Cratejoy's support team. Zara, in particular, was very understanding and communicative!

Reoccurring bill that I can't stop!!
I ordered a 3 month subscription that ended in December. But I was billed again in January. Spent some time working with human resources. Was reimbursed for January. But I was charged again in February???

My daughter loved her Wild Woman Boxes! It was a nice unusual gift for her for Christmas! I love to support small businesses whenever I have the chance.
The only issue I had was when I first ordered, my daughter and I both were under the impression that it was one box, and that's what I paid for in December. I was shocked in January when I was charged for another box, and found out that I would be charged every month until I canceled. I thought that was misleading. I reached out and received excellent assistance from Zara, who explained. I ended up being okay with getting 3 monthly boxes before canceling. Zara helped me through that as well. I had difficulty with canceling but I immediately got assistance from Zara. She was great. I will order again because of her quick response. My daughter really loved the contents of each box!❤️
Did not want, support is useless
Received an email about an upcoming charge for a subscription that I never wanted and certainly did not want to renew. Contacted support because upon checking the site, there was no subscription showing (I wanted to see if the email was spam). Support said they'd look into it, but they never followed through and then, conveniently enough, the subscription renewed during their negligence. Never order from Cratejoy.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and don’t buy from cratejoy!!! I have been fighting for months to get my third box that I already paid for and on top of that they randomly took another three months that I didn’t ask for!!! So watch your credit card and make sure they aren’t just taking money because they keep taking money and no boxes are coming!!! I would NEVER use cratejoy again.
Broken AI customer service
When something goes wrong, don't expect to be effectively helped. For months, every day I got almost the same e-mail from Cratejoy stating that they're so sorry they couldn't deliver, if I could let them know how they could make up. I literally told them 30ish times what could be a solution. Just getting the same question again in a bit different order the other day. It is okay to use AI, but this one is broken. Even if you ask for escalation to a real person, you get a confirmation that it will be handled by their specialized team but the next day getting the same question again; "how do you want to proceed?".
Not giving an answer results in closure of the ticket within days.
I would not recommend their service, especially if you're looking for a trustworthy service. Never received any refund or store credit.

TERRRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH CRATEJOY! I canceled the order the same day I placed it. I confirmed that it would be canceled with Zara Smith. I canceled and have a confirmation email from Feb 14th that it was, in fact, canceled. I was told it was canceled and I would be refunded. Nope, shipped anyway and card was charged even with documentation that it was canceled.

Product never shipped
Product never shipped. After contacting Cratejoy and requesting a refund they took almost 2 months to give me a refund. They kept delaying and it took 6 refund requests and finally a threat to submit a complaint to BBB and Secretary of State before they finally refunded me for a product that was never shipped.

Ordered 3 mth subscription last November. Still waiting. Been communicating with customer support Zara Smith. I've been asking for a refund but I keep getting the same repeat questions including "Do you want a refund". Never answers my question or request. This is obviously an AI bot.

The communication was phenomenal and they worked to ship out a new one within hours. Initially I wasn’t happy with this company because when I placed my order for Scotch subscription, it didn’t show the cost of shipping until after I had paid for it, which was over $200! So a $300 subscription turned into over $500 which I probably wouldn’t have done. However, their customer service was outstanding when I had a question about a delayed shipment. The kind of customer service that’s rare to find anymore.

I was going to be a new customer BUT....
I was given a $300 Gift Certificate at Christmas for this place and after about 24 attempts over 3+ weeks, I was able to order only 2 items for about $40 each. Their Web site is the worst. They sell Gift Certificates, but good luck redeeming them.
When checking out, I enter the Gift Certificate code and that results in a zero balance on the order which I'd expect, but there is NO 'Submit' order button, only a 'Pay Now" button which asks me for a Credit Card number. I'm not putting my credit card number for a $0 order, AND a Gift Card number for the same purchase when there is a $0 balance due. Is this an attempt to also get my credit card number on file?
This has to be the most poorly designed order site I have ever seen.
I have yet to see either package ordered, so this is only about getting started ordering.
