We made a purchase from contemporary gardens in early march, only to be told after we had paid that our items would be delivered in six weeks.
So we got a delivery date of early may, i rang to confirm only to be told that their was a further three weeks due a shortage of timber!!!!
So after three weeks I phoned again to confirm to be told again an extra two day wait….
Rang back two days later several times but no answer!!!
The following week I managed to get through only to be told that they didn’t know why my delivery hadn’t been sent.
Another teo days later my delivery arrived and it was damaged. And also missing pieces, when i rang again they were very rude and unprofessional….
So another weeks went by and the rest of my delivery arrived.
And it was the item?
I cannot be bothered to contact contemporary gardens any more….
If i was you I’d spend your money elsewhere!!!!
Rubbish service and customer service 👎🏼

Very poor quality panels. Paint flaking all over after just one month outside, non-existent customer support and no effort to sort the problem. Misaligned wooden slats, fence posts chipped and damaged on delivery.

Im truly very happy and they are worth the price and the wait.
I’m aware there are timber shortage at the moment. I work with companies who are experiencing lots of shortages and price increases making manufacturing goods very difficult, however in these unprecedented times these guys got them too me when they said they would!

Best product on the market. Great value for money with a quality finish. The team has been so helpful from start to finish. We fitted the fence panels ourselves (with some help from a friend) and had initially made a few errors. Nothing was too much trouble to help us and ensure we had all we needed for the professional finish we wanted. Great to support a small independent well run company and would use again if we ever moved!!

Contemporary Gardens made it clear at the time of order that delivery time would be five weeks and could slip. In the end they delivered within a few days of the original delivery date which was great given the complications that presently exist. The construction, finish and overall quality of our fencing, gate and posts was great, exceeding our expectations.

I have bought trellis from Contemporary Gardens several times now for my landscaping business. I have always found them to be efficient, friendly and the product top quality. The long lead times that are quoted are testament to how popular their product is, combined with current restrictions and timber shortages it is not surprising. We just order well in advance of when we need them, and will continue to do so. Thanks Contemporary Gardens !

I have just asked for a refund. We were initially given 23rd March as a delivery date. This was moved to the 30th "due to a sudden shortage in timber". On the 30th we took down our old fence ready to install our new one. I called around midday on the 30th wondering what time we could expect our fence to arrive only to be told it wouldn't be arriving until the 13th April. On the 13th April I called again to ask what time we could expect our fence only to be told it wouldn't be arriving until the 19th...today! I couldn't get hold of them on the phone but I did get a reply to an email saying that they were very sorry it wouldn't be arriving until Thursday. I have given up! This company has had my money for a month and the customer service I received has got to be the worst I have ever experienced. This is completely unacceptable. Hopefully I can rely on the money actually being refunded.

Waiting for over a month. Placed an order on the 28/2/21, as of the 1/4/21 I'm still awaiting for delivery. I've phoned twice and now been promised delivery for next week. 1st time they said I had no delivery date and I'd slipped though the cracks, a week later the second call stating 'oh its going out today'. Avoid.

Placed order and 2 out of 3 parts arrived, contacted them and they said they'd check with courier. Chased several times, told twice that the outstanding item has been dispatched, still not arrived. Have chased again today, as told yesterday it was being dispatched for delivery today, but it hasn't, now been told it's being dispatched and will arrive Tuesday. Shame about the poor service and lack of communication. Order last year went through fine.

Received a text message from Contemporary Gardens at 10:11pm the day before delivery due, stating :

Due to a sudden drop in timber supply we've been forced to revise our delivery dates. Your order is now due for delivery on 08/04 All queries call 0114 3035052

Fully understandable, during these difficult times that logistical, delivery issues etc, could arise. What is unacceptable is to wait until the late evening before delivery due to inform the customer. Avoid this company like the plague if you need a reliable supplier with good comms.

Update : So this morning, the day I would of been due to take delivery of my order if it wasn’t for sourcing timber issues I receive an email from Contemporary Gardens, stating that I have cancelled my order and here is my refund. One I’m grateful for a refund, but the most troubling thing is I never contacted them this morning, so they have lied. I have no idea what this company are up too, but if you have a project planned etc, I can only reiterate what I have said previous. Do not trust this company, they will not deliver. Also I have noticed on their website if I was to place on order for the items that have been cancelled, not by me but by them. The price is some 20% higher. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Unreliable, lying, poor communication, untrustworthy, do you really want to place on order with them? I think not.

I couldn't believe how affordable these guys made the look we've been after. From our first order we were impressed by the service. Then when we asked for something unique they couldn't have been more helpful. Finally when a panel arrived damaged they were so quick to rectify. On top of that, it looks proper good too. Thoroughly impressed!

Total wind up, first delivery date was about 2 weeks after order. OK fine. Got an email a few day before confirming thr date , took the day off work to be in. Then they phone me on the day after 1.20pm - saying the timber didn't arrive and now it won't be there till Tuesday. The timber didn't arrive? OK - as if they couldn't have told me this a few days earlier so I didn't waster the day off work.

Guy on the phone had a sarcastic attitude and they offered no money off or any alternative.

Excellent service, great communication and fantastic product. Thank you so much for the help with the timing of the delivery, the finished fence panels look amazing, would recommend highly!
