Responded to their requests for information about our issues and are shut out of the system. Essentially charged $450 for three actual tutoring sessions. Don’t bother with this company

Exploitative business practices really…

Exploitative business practices really undermine this brand. The tutors are fine. But the sales people get you in on a special offer and promise endless flexability and future discounts and... etc. It all sounds so nice and easy!

And then they sting you with obligation for an additional $1k in future billing without so much as a confirmation that you wish to continue for an additional 12 sessions! My sales person knew I was supporting my son in the lead up to NAPLAN, yet this was apparently their contractual terms. My sleep deprived brain of course did not retain that information. The flexibility described was also a gross overstatement with pauses only available over summer holidays.

Having been coerced into an additional $1k spend, I now cannot pause them until my son needs them - I have to use them up. Extremely frustrating. If your life and brain is busy I would suggest you give this company a wide berth. You need to be all over your shizzle to not fall in the gaps of their sneaky money grubbing tricks.

Our enrolments are structured as ongoing programs, with sessions scheduled and billed in advance to maintain consistency, rather than ending automatically after an initial offer. Great tutor - Misleading trial that bills you more before you can opt out.

Signed my daughter up for a trail that consisted of 2 sessions. Advised that we needed to cancel as soon as the 2nd session was finished so we didn't get charged for more sessions.
Tutor was great, good content and we were cancelling to assess local tutors so we could compare the two to make a decision.
additional cherges to our card were made before the trial sessions had been completed. We cancelled the service and they refused to refund us the two additional sessions they had charged.
Advertised as a trial session, but there is no aspect of trial about it. Its false advertising. Shame because if it wasn't for that we would have gone with Cluey as the tutor. Very short sighted buisness design.

Wow feel being ripped off

Wow, now that they have changed their contracts, it really scams the parents out of the hard earned money. You cannot cancel the odd session or during non summer holidays without it costing you money.

They will offer you a credit against a future lesson, but it must be an additional one and not against a regular session day.

It sounds to me that if you don’t want sessions over school holidays you have to cancel your enrolment and then reactivate it. This sounds like a waste of ours and there time to have to do this.

Looks like if I can’t get this resolved with Cluey, then they will be losing a customer after being with them for the past 5 years.

Terrible customer service. AI and then a rude prick when you do get to speak to a human.

I signed up for a bonus discount of 4 english and mathematics sessions. I was however over charged and then automatically charged for another 4 sessions.

Cluey tutors are great unfortunately who ever does their admin has no customer service training or people skills. Dealing with their admin is like pulling teeth.

Disappointed.

I contacted Cluey Learning on…

I contacted Cluey Learning on completing School holiday session which was all agreed on during this holiday season. This process was very easy and they had received my credit card and the tutoring started as requested. However when school returned i was again charged on my credit card for now the start of the school session. This was not agree on and was not contacted to proceed for this training. I then tried to cancel through the messaging/help section on there Hub. However could not get it confirmed that it was cancelled. I tried calling them and returned me to the messaging process that didnt work for them. I ended up deleting my credit card and emailed them multiple times. After another 3 weeks of emailing "payment didnt go through" i finally got a email confirming the cancellation. I definetly do not recomnendn Cluey Learning, and now after talking with other parents there is better teaching platforms online to go to. Hope this helps people and not get caught out.

When we received your email requesting cancellation, your enrolment was cancelled promptly and your account was set to finish the sessions that had already been paid for. As we did not receive specific instructions on which sessions you wished to cancel, the remaining prepaid sessions were simply allowed to conclude without further charges.

We have also reviewed the original sign-up call from November 2025. During that conversation, the enrolment structure and relevant terms were explained, including how sessions continue beyond the holiday period unless the enrolment is cancelled. We understand, however, that billing structures can sometimes feel unclear in practice, and we’re sorry if the experience did not match your expectations.

We’re also sorry that you found it difficult to confirm the cancellation through the Hub. Your feedback regarding communication and confirmation is helpful and something we continue to improve.

Online system work once in 3 Sessions. Charged for all 3. No follow up feedback or explanation. And they charge more than market rate. Highly recommend you avoid

The salesperson made this sound great but it all felt like a scam

The salesperson made this sound great and was able to convince me to sign up with the promise of an easy & user friendly learning hub.
First trial lesson, my daughter rang me at work as she couldn’t get into the hub trying 20mins prior to the start time or see any thing besides her name on account details. I was at work and also tried calling through kept getting a link and being told someone would contact us they finally ring my daughter back no help to fix the hub but just a link to get her in the lesson which she was late and so she didn’t get the full hour. The next day I get another charge from my credit card for 2 weeks in advance but I could not see this as the hub was still not showing me an invoice. I rang up after being on hold for a long time speak to customer service who was lovely but tech support was closed and would contact us the next day we got no call instead an email with a reset link which we did and still not seeing the same think then I tried to log in and password is wrong so has locked us out. I replied to the email to advise of this problem and no response until tonight I have called again and cancelled and lost $50 for the second trial lesson. After speaking to another lovely customer service lady and getting a refund for the 3rd week but feel like this whole thing is a scam to begin with and I should of trusted my gut instinct but the promise of cancelling anytime but this is not worth the anxiety of trying to get through to tech support or a human when a lesson is on.

The login and visibility issue you’ve described is not the experience we aim to provide, and we regret that it wasn’t resolved more quickly. We can see that your refund for the third week was processed, and we appreciate you acknowledging the support team members you spoke with.

In relation to billing, our enrolment structure keeps accounts in advance, which is why the additional charge appeared following the first session. That said, invoices should always be visible in the Hub, and we apologise that the technical issues made this unclear at the time.

We understand your concerns and the anxiety caused by not being able to access timely technical support. We are currently reviewing and strengthening our support model — particularly around Hub access and phone routing — to ensure families can receive immediate assistance when sessions are about to begin.

A Great tutoring service that is flexible

We have used other online tutoring services in the past, Cluey learning is the best we have come across. The lessons are 1-1 and very engaging. The lesson plans are in line with the school curriculum. I would definately recommend.

Great teachers but terrible customer…

Great teachers but terrible customer service.

You can request the recordings after the teachers provide feedback and the recordings are meant to be available within in the next 24 hours.This never happened and I had to contact support to beg them to send them to me or make it available on the portal. The whole reason that we decided to sign up with Cluey was to access the recordings before the next session so that my son could watch them and ask the questions that he needs help with in the next session. I had to cancel a couple of sessions since it has been 10 days since I requested the recordings and still no luck!

quality, comfort, flexibility

We have been using Cluey for 2+ years and very satisfied with outcome, my both boys have weekly sessions with their maths tutor Mr Rodgers Chihwai and 1 year above their age level. I was initially sceptical to try online tutoring for early primary school (now mid primary), but it works as time efficient as F2F!

A wonderful tutoring experience with Karen

Karen started tutoring my daughter earlier this year after we felt she could use the extra help with Maths as our daughter struggles with anxiety and we wanted to give her the best chance. Karen's patience and way with our daughter has been amazing they have a great relationship and I look forward to them working together again next year.
