I decided to use these services (I tried both ClickGuard and CHEQ Essentials), paying around $300 a month under the promise of protecting my campaigns from alleged "click fraud" and bot attacks. At first, you see a very nice dashboard full of flashy red charts telling you they are blocking thousands of threats, which makes you feel safe. But the reality is completely different.

What these tools actually do is inflate "threat" metrics—classifying legitimate crawlers or regular users as bots—just to justify their hefty monthly fee. Furthermore, given the current Google Ads ecosystem and technical limitations (like Google's strict IP exclusion limits), their actual blocking capability is virtually non-existent. This is especially true for campaign types like Performance Max (PMax), where these platforms essentially operate blindly.

The real test: I ran an experiment and completely turned off these platforms for an entire month. The result? My traffic behavior, overall visits, and campaign costs did not change at all. Google already handles invalid traffic filtering natively and for free.

Paying $300/month for a panel that just sells smoke and fear makes no sense. If you feel your campaigns are getting bombarded with junk clicks, the solution is to optimize your campaign structure (for instance, switching from PMax to Standard Shopping or tightening your targeting), not giving your money away to these "prevention" tools. Highly NOT recommended.

A competitor has been continually clicking ads from constantly changing IP Addresses and ClickGuard was the only software with advanced rules + behaviour tracking + device identification + conversion tracking to both 1. accurately detect the click fraud and 2. successfully request refunds from Google.

However, I am not happy about ClickGuard's recent pricing increases for "ClickGUARD 2.0" the new version of their software. I am on a legacy plan at $79/m, but if I want to use ClickGuard 2.0 the equivalent plan with the above mentioned features "Starts at $199/ Month", which is a +150% increase. If I am forced to upgrade from legacy plan to a new plan I will be looking at alternative click fraud software.

Was looking to use you guys but the fact virtually all of your reviews was left on the same day over 3 years ago says the reviews are potentially fake and therefore I can’t believe a word you say

It was simple to use and the results show that it does what it promised to do for our campaigns. A good investment for Google Ads Campaigns and but the price is high in my opinion, however, the support team makes sure I get full value from the system.

Clickguard is the one solution that actually works, we are very happy with how it has worked for us and i would recommend trying it for anyone

A bit complicated, but after testing and trying out multiple products we now understand why it's also the most effective one in the market and well worth the time. The support team was very hands-on in helping us get set up so we're happy with the results.

These guys do not know how to treat their customers. They blocked me saying I am some source of attack and didnt prove anything.

Firstly, It only takes a few minutes for Clickguard to be integrated into your Google ads platform. The app has made it also very easy to take back control of your ads. I was pretty tired of running my PPC ads blind. I thought I had to accept the fact that anonymous clicks would eat up a portion of my budget. Clickguard is a God sent, they gave me hope and peace of mind to know that my ads were being protected and every click is monitored. My conversions have never looked better and they are actually being converted to sales.

Clickguard is the best app to detect and block empty clicks. This is an app this is a must for your business when you decide to run PPC ads. Clickguard is the real deal in my eyes and It delivers on all that it advertises. This app was a big part of what helped us to dominate and continue to lead in our market and not only is this a great app but the type of support I get from them is outstanding. For an app like this which might seem a little complicated, the support team is always there to assist you in any way possible. The very best in its category.

At base, this app does a great job at protection from fraud click activities on your pay per click google campaigns and what's even better is the fact that it doesn't need much monitoring and the results will show of how much money you save. A small thing I've noticed though is that it works best on a higher click volume but that shows me that it's able to handle large amounts of incoming clicks. This is a very useful software to have if you or your company happens to be doing PPC ad campaigns and you would like to get protection from click fraud and click robots. Always use Clickguard while running ads. This is a great resource to have for any type of business.

The biggest thing for me with Clickguard is the fact that this app has all the features that you could possibly want in order to get the most effective protection for your campaigns. Each feature has a specific function and plays an important roll in the protection of your ad campaigns. The only draw back about this app for me is that I would love to see a cheaper plan for small companies but that doesn't take away from how effective Clickguard is. I guess you will have to pay if you want quality protection and support. When I saw the types of features that this application came with, It was obvious that I wouldn't have any concerns regarding protection.

Clickguard gives me back the control I needed over my ads. It's a relief to know that my click rates and other information are finally accurate and as effective as possible. Clickguard is designed to help you get the best results from your PPC ads and there is not much more that I can ask for. The only draw back I get is that is that there is no phone support but the chat support is still very effective. If you're tired of getting inaccurate click data due to anonymous clicks and click bots, take back control of your campaigns with this app. I've been using it and I'm happy with the results I've gotten so far.

I've researched products similar to Clickguard and I found that Clickguard is the best in all cases as it to me is the most effective app of it's kind out there. The only concern I have is with the setup time and tasks. Other than that it is my experience that Clickguard is the most effective software out there in its category hands down. The user interface is easy to navigate, and there are so many customizable features that work without any issues and if you need any type of support, the support team is always there and they are always willing to help you find a solution to your issues or questions.
