Avoid this company!
I did make an application for a DBS with this company in January then when I wanted to get in touch with them I just realise it doesn’t answer to the phone and I cancel that payment since then every month they take out from my account £8 for nothing. I did try to get in contact with them but that is no contact. Most definitely this is a scam. Also I noticed that the only customer assistance that is answering here to this feed box it’s only Allan it’s not that weird?

Absolutely disgusted with clearcheck! Very slow kept checking my progress, which didn't seem to move past 50% been near on two weeks, no contact number or email to get in contact, to find out why it's taking so long..so decided too cancel, which they processed all of a sudden another doc, just so the refund was even less. Refund was £25. See how they make their money! You can get a DBS quicker through a company that you work for. Disgraceful slackers!! No communication Poor site layout Not enough information to let you know what's going on!! For all of this one should get a full refund considering it's down to their poor communication through their site!!

Hi. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Id like report to Police. Who did let me know plz. They tok from me money 87£, later 8£, whant pay me for subscribsion, dont give nothing. From 2 months i try get DBS but they always find something for next payment. I whant only regain my money now and help them close this SCAM. We need to do together becouse only like this we can get what we need.

Do not use … use Gov site cheap, quick and easy. Clear Checks is a scam. Take more money than they should. God knows who now has all my details. Send you a link that doesn’t even work 🙄 ended up paying £87 then another £23 to gov for a basic check.

Fake robbers should be took down, not only took entail fee, Taking £8 PER MONTH from my account , robbers, don't use this bunch of losers, reported to company House, and financial institutes

I had to go to the police today because of this lot. You need to know that when they bill you it is via a ` `subscription` so despite the fact that they took £83 from my account and did not provide me with a certificate, they took another £8 for some reason this month. I complained to both the Fraud Squad and my bank fraud dept today.

Can I urge you to do teh same and report these to the Police. You will get a number and if enough of us do this, then this dreadful company will be flagged up and there will be a detailed investigation. If you do nothing then other people will be scammed.

Total scam. Stole my money. Paid for enhanced DBS check 2 months ago
including a £13 payment for verifying documents which you are not told about until you've paid for DBS check.

Do not use this company. I have paid $150 for a basic check. It has now been 4 days since payment and I have received absolutely no communication or even an acknowledgement of the payment. I wish I had read these reviews prior to using them but I really hope other people can learn from my mistake.

My private hire badge needs applying for again. Runs out. So i used these guys and charge after charge. I also payed for fast track was told would be quick max 48hrs. Been 2 weeks no sign of anything. I am so annoyed as i will loose my licenece if not here by 2weeks. Cost me way more then normal. Lines all closed due to covid even though i work for nhs covid and not such covid issues. Email support told me no idea as they have no track or even do dbs checks. So i really do not no what to do.

AVOID THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY BEFORE THE END OF THE APPLICATION IS COMPLETE. THE STEPS ARE SET UP TO AVOID ACCOUNTABILITY THEY THEN SCAM YOU BY NOT REFUNDING YOU THE CORRECT AMOUNT THEY STILL OWE ME £50. THEY CLAIM ITS FOR ADMIN BUT THEY HAD NO ADMIN AS NO DOCUMENTS.

never go with this company i applied and kept getting sent to verify so I paid £75 THEN GOT SENT TO VERIFY WHO charged me £11 and refused the verify I was then sent back to verify had to pay again all in total I have sent £115 and still have no check utterly stupid I have raised this with my bank and told them it is fraud

Many hidden costs!! We wanted a quick service for an Enhanced DBS, it is a long process involving a lot of logging out and in again to get through all the steps. Once you've uploaded the ID documents the button to click to get to the next step is very hard to see. You think that's it but no, clear check doesn't even verify the ID documents for you! You have to pay £11+ EXTRA to get these verified by EXTERNAL companies, Post Office, notary public etc. and THEN after that is done you can upload the pictures of the certified and verified IDs and THEN they take up to 14 days "from acceptance" to REVIEW that AGAIN! What they construe "acceptance" to mean remains to be seen, hopefully it means "receipt" in their system and not when someone decides they feel like looking at it. This should be provided by the Post Office as a whole package or the government should give the contract to a company which can actually offer a one-stop-shop service and a single set of fees with no hidden costs.

The WORST thing is you cannot actually log in to complete the next step of your application on the actual clear check website. Even if you never closed the tab from the previous day when you were on the previous step. You can only access your application with the link from the ONE email they sent at the start! Totally inconvenient.

This is a fraud company that is working with employment agencies to ROB poor job seekers who is looking for a job I don’t know how these people is allowed to do what they are doing to people and get away with it I have been Scammed by them but they have help because I was given a link by a agency to do a DBS check and this is how I end up with these scammers if it was not the agency they could not take my money so be aware of the agency’s because I think is them that set up these dbs checking companies to rob un suspecting job seekers they ROB me £73

I could not be any more angry with this company, the phone lines are useless as well as the messaging service, 14 days in I do not have my check complete and I am £93.50 out of pocket

Initially i gave 1 star but within 30 mins gary from clearcheck rang me to be fair he listened to what i had to say .I explained about contact difficulties,thats why i sent my documents by post he then told me they had received them and they were now processing my application He explained to me as some people are working from home it can present difficulties Just to inform some people the eight pounds a month is the fee they charge so if you ever lose you disclosure certificate you can have one sent to you and also if you need to apply again in the future you get a discount anyway thankyou gary
