We have just returned from a fantastic holiday trip, including a tour of Sri Lanka, followed by a lovely relaxing time in The Maldives.
Everything was taken care of by Gérard at Charter Travel. Nothing was too much trouble for him when we were discussing what we wanted from the Sri Lankan tour. We listened to his advice and worked out exactly what we wanted to see and experience. Gérard then worked a price out, which was very competitive, compared to other travel companies we were getting quotes from.
We were a group of 2 couples and had a private driver /guide for the week in Sri Lanka. His name was Devaka and we all got on very well with him. He was a very professional and polite man with a great knowledge of the sights we went to. In our opinion he went above and beyond what we were expecting.
We felt like friends by the time we left him at the airport to continue onto The Maldives. All the hotels were of a good standard and food also plentiful and a wide variety, catering for all.
The trip to the Maldives included a 30 minute speedboat ride, which was superb. Our destination was Thulhagiri Island resort & spa.
This was our 1st visit to The Maldives and it won't be the last.
From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were treated so well, we could not complain about anything. The snorkeling on the reef was very good. The staff were very attentive and polite, and friendly, especially the dining staff and the bar staff.

I have used charter travel and Linda for the past 8 years and they have been fantastic. The last holiday we planned with Linda was a road trip across Canada, starting in Vancouver then going to a ranch, then on through the Rockies and ending up in Calgary for the stampede and it was amazing.
Linda has always been fantastic. She always books amazing hotels and she has so much knowledge about things its a pleasure to plan and book our holidays with her.
I wouldn't use anyone else to help us plan and book the amazing holidays we have done with Charter Travel and especially with Linda.

I called to enquire about a holiday to Hawaii with a few days stop over in LA. A woman called Linda who I spoke to on the phone was very rude and patronising. When I said my mum and I wanted to stay in LA for a few days before going on to Hawaii. She was so rude and obnoxious by saying ‘why do you want to go and stay there’? ‘Who wants to go to LA’? ‘LA is only for young people’. I was so taken back by what she said. Why would an agent say that to a customer for whatever reason? Very strange, considering this travel agent only concentrates going to America. She obviously didn’t care about getting her commission. Even so, you do not talk to a customer like that even if you dislike that particular place (LA) which she obviously does. To top it all off, she hung up the phone on me. Absolutely shocking behaviour, she should not be working for this company if she doesn’t want to do the job. Very unprofessional and unacceptable. I do not recommend this travel agent, avoid at all cost!!!

There is a good reason this company scores 4.9 - Still don't know how we came across the Charter Travel website but oh so glad we did!

We had already spoken to several travel agents who unfortunately seemed very disinterested in what we were looking for and some even made it seem like a chore. Then we rang Charter and got to speak to Peter. What a difference - we explained it was a special occasion (partners 60th) and we wanted it to be special. Having already chosen Cancun via Vegas Peter listened to what we thought we wanted then he gave us several options and changed things as we requested, usually at his suggestion. Really should leave it to the experts!

Peter found us the best deal out of everyone we had spoken to and nothing was too much bother. He explained he had been at Charter some 20 years I think and it is easy to see why. Peter even works from late in the day through to last at night so that he is easy to get hold of when we all usually want to speak to someone on an evening. He is such an asset to Charter Travel.

Linda at Charter Travel has looked after us for over five years, and the service has always been outstanding. She consistently finds amazing places to stay and always works within our budget. Reliable, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with — highly recommended.

Leah was fantastic to work with while planning our Orlando Disney holiday for 2027. She went through multiple quotes with me and adapted each one until she found a great price that matched another company’s offer. Throughout the process she was extremely professional, helpful, and patient. I’ve already recommended her to my friends and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

3rd time using Charter Travel and as per the previous experiences the service this time was second to none. Richard found us a few options to choose from, always suggesting alternatives to help keep the price as low as possible for what we were looking for. Incredible service!!

We have booked with Charter Travel on numerous occasions for our American holidays and they've always provided a good service. They even came in cheaper than Virgin for the same holiday! Richard has always provided excellent communication and goes the extra mile when I am making changes to suit us. He's already sorted our main holiday for 2027 but he is on standby when hotels and flights are available for a Boston break for our 30th anniversary.

We have just booked again with Charter Travel for our Disney holidays. This will be our forth time because we have always been so happy with their service and never had any holiday issues.
They respond to emails extremely quickly and no questions are left unanswered.
The booking has been quick and easy with no stress whatsoever.
All I had to do was put in what I required from the holiday and Richard my rep sorted it all out from there. He has been excellent and I feel he has gone the extra mile. It was so nice to always have one person to work with.
Our package includes flights, car hire, villa and also we could order the Disney park tickets through them as well. It feels great to have it all sorted in one place, it feels more straightforward and less messy.
So now we can just sit back and look forward to our holidays.
They have low deposit at the moment if you book early. Go on treat yourselves.

Found Charter Travel on a Facebook and and made an enquiry. Not expecting much back really but was pleasantly suprised to receive a detailed response to my query. Upon following this up I was introduced to Gerard who specialised in the countries I want to visit and from then on I received exceptional service and an amazing tour itinery. Nothing was too much trouble and Gerard was patient with my tour amendments and questions. The tour was exactly as described with an excellent tour guide who took care of everything for us. Hotel choices by Charter travel were exceptional and really appreciated the gala dinner for new years eve which was included as a bonus. Can definitely recommend Charter Travel !

We’ve now booked four holidays with Andy, and the service has been outstanding every time. He goes above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble, and the trips he books for us are always spot on. We wouldn’t book with anyone else.

Everything was quick and efficient with no stress. Leah was great with everything she is a credit to the company.

Peter was great from start to finish. Patience of a saint while I asked for quotes for adding people, changing dates, changing accommodation etc. Very helpful with the New york part of the holiday having visited himself many times. We recently returned from an amazing adventure in Costa Rica, booked with Charter Travel to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Grateful thanks to Danny who advised us and helped us tailor the trip to suit our wishes.
All the hotels exceeded our expectations, every pick up and transfer went like clockwork. The itinerary was really varied, interesting and beautiful. The Costa Rican people were so welcoming and helpful and went out of their way to make our trip really special and memorable.
We actually chose to add an extra night in La Fortuna and Monteverde and reduce our beach stay to 5 nights. We felt that really worked for us and made the whole trip feel more relaxed.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Charter Travel and would happily book another trip.
