I was so pleased with Chapter Law. The experience was perfect from start to finish and we were keep informed all along the process. Sahlia dealt with everything and she communicated really well. Overall the experience was perfect and I would recommend Chalter Law.

My daughter is a first time buyer no chain ,mortgage in place but the silence , lack of communication and time taken from them is unbelievable.I personally would not recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely dreadful experience as a first time buyer. Initially had high hopes as they advertised updates at every step with an app to track your progress. In reality you'd go weeks without any progress and then conveyancer would dump all the updates on in one go whilst leaving you with no actual information. Multiple times I was told they were having issues with the sellers solicitor, despite them representing both parties involved (I was advised this would speed up the process as it was mutually beneficial for all involved). It took nearly six months for the sale to go through despite being given multiple completion dates that had to be retracted due to the aforementioned 'issues with sellers solicitor'.

Ultimately purchased on 5th December and had to pay an additional £800 in fees that were not included in the estimate or communicated until contracts were exchanged. Fast forward to 20th May 2026, over six months later, and I still haven't received any documentation and neither has the freeholder, despite nearly £500 of the additional fees being to provide said documentation for the freeholder.

I've been emailing for nearly a month and have had no response, I've tried calling them when I finish work at 5:15pm as they advertise being open until 5:30pm but every time I call I get the message that they're closed.

Honestly, go somewhere else unless you're fond of headaches and perpetual confusion. I haven't been able to prove ownership to get fibre broadband installed due to the delays and I'm currently facing fees from the freeholder for not having the documentation they need to process service charges.

Chapter law have been the best Misbah helped the sale of my property complete within 6 weeks. I used their app which kept me up to date every step of the way and at no point did I need to call to see what was happening- thank you so much

Chapter Law were frustrating throughout our house sale and purchase. Our solicitor, Beverley, seemed to need a huge amount of chasing to progress anything. When we explained how frustrating the delays were there was no empathy or understanding. We frequently felt that she couldn't get us off the phone quick enough. We were in almost the shortest chain possible, and yet our conveyancing timeline was weeks longer than the UK average. We were told on multiple occasions that completion would be 'by the end of next week, etc, but then it wouldn't happen and it would be up to us to chase and work out why. Very disappointing and would definitely not recommend this company.
