I worked for Central Tutors as a private tutor, and I had a very positive experience with them.

Jamie is friendly, professional and reliable. He is quick to respond to any issues or questions, good at liaising between tutors and clients, and tries to accommodate any particular needs his tutors and clients might have.
Thorough preparation for lessons is expected, but we are given flexibility in how we structure and carry out lessons, allowing us the freedom to do what works best for us and our students. The sessions themselves are generally fun and fulfilling.

I became a private tutor for Central Tutors after my University graduation, and I can confidently say my experience has been positive.
This experience also doesn't feel like a job, but more of something one looks forward to doing, which is why I believe it is excellent for university student or graduate. It also gives you control over your schedule with good pay and ability to develop your soft skills.
Central Tutors establishes a strong relationship with parents/students making it easier for its tutors to bond with students right from the first session.

Jamie has been a fantastic support for my son who was struggling with his Nat 5 Chemistry. After failing his prelim he began working with Jamie and immediately had a better understanding of many of the concepts he covered. Working through past paper questions also helped to build his confidence and prepared him well for his exam. He has now sat his Nat 5 exam and is quietly confident that he has secured a pass. He feels that he wouldn’t have done this without Jamie’s support.

Jamie has been tutoring my daughter in Nat 5 Maths and Chemistry and has done a fantastic job in boosting her confidence and increasing her knowledge. He is very patient and understanding and sends the notes out after each lesson which is great for parents to see what’s being studied and the student to refer back to. He added extra support and lessons leading up to exam time which was really helpful and he is always willing to help outwith lessons with any homework or study queries. No hesitation in recommending Jamie and indeed he would be our first choice in the future for our daughters science and maths subjects should she continue to higher.

Central Tutors, supported my son on his Nat5 Maths preparation after lower than expected prelims results . On contacting Central tutors Jamie he was polite and very knowledge and advise on a 15min introduction to full understand what support was required. Once the review was carried out Central Tutors put us in contact with Cameron who we commenced weekly 1 hour classes with. Through this time my son gained in confidence and knowledge in preparing for his Nat 5 exam.

Jamie has been an excellent and supportive tutor in the sessions and can be contacted out with these times with any questions. Jamie has helped my son to have a better knowledge & understanding of Nat 5 Maths. I would highly recommend Central Tutors.

My son has struggled with chemistry but Jamie is explaining things well and while the final n5 exam was tougher than expected, he is confident of getting the result he was aiming for. Jamie is professional and his communication is excellent.

Jamie tutored my daughter through S2 and gave her much more confidence and broke things down in a way she could more easily understand would highly recommend

My daughter has been receiving National 5 Maths tuition from Jamie since the start of the school term, in preparation for her exam this year. The lessons are on line and Jamie creates a relaxed atmosphere such that the students feel comfortable discussing any specific maths problems they have. Jamie goes above and beyond to help the students individually. My daughter’s confidence has grown and, as such, she feels ready for sitting her exam this year. I would definitely recommend Jamie.

Jamie has been responsive to questions and provides well organised, structured sessions. The follow up resources after sessions and the in depth explanation of exam questions were beneficial.

We engaged the services of Jamie Harrower to provide additional support for our daughter who was 'crashing' her Higher Chemistry in S6. Jamie began by offering a (free) Zoom call to introduce himself and for him to meet us. This was enormously reassuring as we knew from the outset that his approach was extremely professional and, more importantly, our daughter could relate to his methods of teaching. The difference has been fantastic. Our daughter's confidence has grown substantially and her knowledge has clearly increased well beyond her previous level - this has already been reflected in her School anticipated exam result. Jamie's approach has been very professional, personal and tailored to the needs of our daughter. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jamie to anybody.

Really professional, well organised tutoring by Jamie. V good comms prior to and after each session. Offers additional sessions in lead up to exams. Small online groups seems to work well. Son certainly enjoys them and says they are v useful. We we're originally trying to find an in person tutor but in hindsight I think central tutors approach is better. Highly recommend.

Amazing help for maths and chemistry from Jamie. My daughter's results have improved immensely

An excellent, professional and well run Tutor business. Jamie has been flexible and engaging and it feels like he really cares about getting the best out of my child. We’ve had Higher Chemistry tuition and so far (a week from exams now) everything he’s taught and the out of lesson support he provides is of real value. Hopefully all of his help will show in exam results but he’s certainly provided what we were hoping for.

My son has been using Jamie Harrower for additional NAT 5 math tutoring. He finds Jamie easy to talk to and Jamie explains the subject clearly with a notes for each class emailed out after the class. Overall this has been a great benefit to our son who is now feeling confident ahead of his exam

My daughter was struggling with her confidence and ability in her Nat 5 Math. She was anxious about having a tutor as felt she would not understand anything that was being taught. After a few tutoring sessions with Jamie Harrower she felt her confidence returning and was less anxious. I would highly recommend central tutors and Jamie.

Our son was needing help with his national 4 maths and we looked around to find a tutor for him. We choose Jamie as he was near us and looked like he had good spec of skills that we thought would help our son. Well all I can say is Jamie was brilliant. He made our son feel at ease and we could see him improving at school to the extent he got 100% in his national 4 exam and has just completed his national 5 too. I would 100% recommend jamie to anyone looking for a maths tutor. 5 stars.
