My service was disconnected two days…
My service was disconnected two days ago with zero notice and no one can tell me why!! I just moved into my apartment and my first bill isn't even due yet. For two days I've been told someone would be out to see what the problem was but they knew all along my service was disconnected even though there was no reason for it. They're just marroons and they probably disconnected the wrong unit. We'll see how many times I have to call these fools tomorrow.

Week without power
Week without power. Their estimate is pending review after promising one yesterday. Can't contact anyone. Power alert service is bs haven't received a single alert since signing up for it. They can't direct the personnel they brought in, nor pay them. They use out of date technology and consistently fail to deliver in crises. They're ceo sits in 70 degree rooms but tells us to be at 76. They made record profits at the cost of people's lives and comfort.

Centerpoint energy is not operating fairly or efficiently in Houston. 100 million for what? All the while not investing in their infrastructure to prevent prolonged power outages. Houston needs an fair and honest energy company that can deliver power during storm season to all people regardless of expensive areas vs poor areas. Houston needs another energy company NOW. #centerpointless
Beryl Disaster!
Centerpoint has yet to restore the zip code:77354's power. Beryl hit on 7/8 and today is 7/10. I can't get through online nor can I talk to a real person. My husband and I pay the electric bill every month and yet when I go online to report an outage in my area, it states our address doesn't exist. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be in this situation. My husband and I had to take refuge in my Mom's house. She stays in Southeast Houston where the majority of people got hit the hardest. Magnolia and Conroe didn't get hit the hardest and yet still awaiting to get power again. This is pure madness and Centerpoint should be ashamed of themselves!

This most recent issue with Beryl or whoever is showing how disappointed and unhappy i am with the company they have not tried to get our lights back on. This is now day 2 over 48 hours that my home has been without power and my family displaced. This cannot be real and someone should handle how these situations are completed moving forward. Power outages are extremely frequent in my neighborhood. I’ve lived in the Houston area for over 43 years and never have had so many outages happening so much. Centerpoint needs to provide power in a more reliable way which if they buried their power lines would result in very very few outages. I don’t know how they handle all these outages but they’re not doing it right!

I had to wait on the phone for over an hour so I could pay my bill because the website and the automated call center wasn’t working. After waiting an hour on the phone the older lady directed me back to the automated call service and I still haven’t been able to pay my bill.

Unacceptable customer service. Unacceptable to not take work orders for days at a time. To not allow workers to work for a system update is unacceptable.
Charges for their mistakes
Second extended loss of power within a month. First was damage so that's at least reasonable even if it was for 4 days. The second was a false flag to shut-off our power. If we had not called and finally managed to speak with a human being we would have not known. After finding out we were incorrectly disconnected we had to pay a 40$ reconnect fee.

An absolute garbage scow of a company. Phone reps are rude, patronizing and uninformed. You would think that a “customer service rep” would have some training on how to have an intelligent colloquy with over the phone but that is not the case. The field technicians are just as bad and to top it off I was passed by a CP pickup truck on the hwy going 15 mph over the posted speed limit while he was clearly on his cellphone. The meter is never recorded correctly and it would seem they do not care or plan to audit that complaint. All the complaints that I have reviewed online are very similar to this complaint which shows that no corrective measures take place. That speaks volumes to mismanagement and the fact the residential gas market lacks competition

My house was 46 degrees for 2 days!
My furnace went out this week in sub zero temperatures. It took them 2 solid days to get out and fix it. My house was 46 degrees for 2 days! Day after it got fixed I of course had a pipe burst in my basement. Thousands of dollars of damage. Massive headache and expense. Wish so much I didn't trust them to help me when they left me hanging like that!!!! My real rating is in the negatives just like the temperature when they didn't fix my furnace!!!!

This is a communist monopoly. They claimed I had a gas leak and took my meter over two weeks ago. After proving there is no leak they have left me waiting now for 4 more days to get my meter back on. They have decided I don’t get to have the benefit of hot water or heating or a stove to boil water in December. They have been controlling my life and withholding utilities from me for no reason other than to just torture an individual for fun.

Had a gas leak, Centerpoint locked the meter, I had the gas line replaced and approved and I have been waiting 3 days for a technician to get out and restore the service. The time window you are given is 8Am to 8PM and then they no-show. No communication, no heads-up, no nothing. This is the worst customer care I have ever experienced. If this were my business model I would go tits-up! I will switch as soon as possible. It's 6:45 PM on the 3rd day and I still haven't received a call or any communication that someone is coming. I have called 4 times today and been assured they were coming, but that's what they said yesterday and didn't come. Grrrr!
