I am extremely dissapointed in ccusa. Without going into to many details, my first camp placement last summer turned out to be an extremely unhealthy and unsafe work enviroment. I am still paying the price from the camps extreme neglect both physically and financially. Not only did I receive no help from ccusa getting out of this situation (I arranged a new camp job at an amazing other camp myself) they also had the nerve to make me pay 500$ for breach of contract, even though I remained employed under ccusa with the new camp I went to. As a young person in the situation I was in, I payed this money just to get out. This on top of more medical bills that came in later has made me look back on the extremely poor service ccusa has delivered and has made me more then dissapointed in their way of dealing with young people hoping to have a great summer experience. I feel negeclected and taken advantage off while in an already terrible situation to begin with. If this whole situation by itself wasnt bad enough I am now being straight out ignored by ccusa's office (both local and main office in america) which is why I feel the need to write this review. If you are looking to have a great summer experience ccusa might still be a great option for you, however if you are looking for a great summer experience while also feeling safe and protected by thr company earning a LOT of money from you if god forbid you happen to end up in a bad situation I would most deffinitly not recommend ccusa.

2nd summer with CCusa/usasummercamp and couldn't have made life easier - over prepared for everything because of how much help is on off - Every member of staff I come into contact with has been extremely helpful - 100% recommend and will use them every year I plan to go to camp!!

Terrible experience with CCUSA... Had trouble with the camp directors. When I tried to explain to CCUSA about the toxic work environment at the camp. They didn't seem willing to help and even called camp about the issues even though I wanted it to be confidentially, because the camp directors experienced every contact with CCUSA as we where talking behind their back.

All in all, CCUSA are an excellent company and really help with every step of getting to camp. Never felt confused and knew that if I was then I could always ask. Had a lot of trouble with my GP and the health form but CCUSA allowed me to turn it in past the deadline without a fee. I really did enjoy my summer and it was an experience I won't forget.

One major con is the pay, you don't truly understand how little the pay is until you find out the American staff are getting more than double, including the under 18s. As someone that was a Unit Leader and did a lot more work as a result, this felt like a slap to the face. Maybe CCUSA don't know about this, but that in itself should be a concern if so. I think all camps should be completely transparent about the pay and workload according to role.

Amazing experience working with CCUSA, David in particular was super helpful and always quick to respond and answer any questions I had and was always on hand to help thoughout the entire process. Couldn't thank him enough.

CCUSA were fantastic for me throughout the entire process. The lead up can be quite stressful with forms etc but their personal touch and availability 24/7 made it so much easier than it potentially could of been. I am going for my 4th summer in America, my 3rd with them after I switched over from my first year. Summer camp is a life changing experience and CCUSA are perfect for helping you get there stress free!

Their application process is very simply laid out and made clear and concise. If you do happen to get stuck at any point, their team is always there to assist you.

Everyone who I've been in contact with at CCUSA has been very helpful and timely with their responses.

They have ready prepared instructions for each and every one of the components, which I found very helpful... especially for the visa application section.

They have enabled me to spend the best summers of my life in the USA and can honestly say that I've found my second home and family out there... all thanks to CCUSA and their amazing staff!

They were super helpful with any paperwork questions that I had and they also got back to me within the day pretty much. Felt when talking to others out in the states that I paid a lot less and had a lot more support than other competitors. First year I used the flight centre to help book my flights to and from the US and again great communication from the company and super helpful. Overall could not of asked for a better company to of used.

CCUSA are AMAZING! From day one my camp recommended them and I’m so glad they did! The team are so helpful when it comes to any questions you have, and always around to answer emails and zoom calls it’s so reassuring! I would 100 recommend them to anyone going to summer camp!!

CCUSA is the best choice for an agency to go to summer camp! They walked me through every step from applying, finding a camp, getting a J1 visa and making it home safely post camp. The summer camp experience is like nothing you could imagine and was the best thing I have ever done. You make friends for life! Honestly couldn’t recommend this agency more.

I signed up in 2019 just before covid hit and unfortunately I couldn’t go to camp in 2020, but CCUSA never let me down and kept me updated the whole time and helped find another camp for me in 2022. The camp was an incredible and the summer I had was the most inspiring 3 months of my life.

Perfect! Easy and simple application process, just working through tasks at your own pace. My interview was quick as they had already gathered all the personal information I had given them. Flights there and back were booked through the agency to make sure everything was alright.

Ccusa are really helpful with your application! It’s simple and easy to do and if you get stuck along the way, there is always someone around to help!!

Camp was the best, hardest but most rewarding thing I’ve ever done and the help CCUSA provided in ensuring all my documents were right and making sure I was confident going in was invaluable.

Ccusa are the best company to go with! I spent my first two years at camp with another company. After being let down by this other company for another two years of being unable to attend camp I was recommended to go with ccusa. By far the best decision I made, they not only were able to get me to camp, they gave amazing customer service and supported me with anything I needed along the way. I had an amazing, life changing summer all thanks to this company. I would highly highly recommend ccusa!

My experience with CCUSA this year was perfect! They were super helpful with every step of the process, guiding me through everything and ensuring any concerns were answered almost immediately.
The interview team is extremely friendly, leaving me feeling safe and comfortable, but also super positive about the Summer ahead!

I applied really late and thought I’d find it hard to be placed but the CCUSA process was super easy and simple, they’re a very personable company with great communication and I felt like I was in good hands. All I had to do was explain a bit about myself and describe what kind of camp I wanted to work at, from there they broke down the whole process of visa’s and any other paperworks. I was placed within a week of applying and had the best summer ever. Also a lot of the other internationals I met out at camp who had gone through other agencies told me about what their experience had been and what a large cut of their pay would be taken, CCUSA was definitely the best option.

CCUSA was so helpful in the process leading up to me going to camp this summer! They were very approachable which made me feel comfortable in asking any questions I had before I went to camp. This was very reassuring as it was my first time at camp this year and so they made it very easy for me to prepare and get ready for my first summer at camp!

I applied with ccusa in 2020 and have been waiting for over 2 summers to finally get out overseas to my summer camp! its been the best decision I made, I've been supported throughout the whole time and felt comfortable contacting David king with any questions while getting help and straight to the point responses.
I would highly recommend ccusa to anyone looking for summer placement!

These people have no interest in you, only your money. They will require full payment up front and if the camp is cancelled for any reason (they literally list every possible reason), you get no refund. This happened to us twice due to different Covid regulations in 2020 and 2021 and they couldn't care less that we had given them R7000 each, and incured costs of over R16000 between my wife and I. They said they also incurred costs which is a complete lie, all they did was print us a piece of paper which we had to pay delivery for. We found our own camp placement and they didn't give us a discount for that either. No sympathy that we had committed to the camp, incurred costs and had no other job for the next 6 months. They act like a friendly, caring family of campers, but are strictly business orientated, money hungry and focused on profits. 100% do not recommend. Find another way into the USA.
