I purchased a Castlegrade mask for my use as a dentist for my PPE. I went in for my first appointment with a patient where I needed to talk to them about their treatment. Besides sounding muffled, I really could not even hold a conversation with the mask on. Within 5 minutes, I had to leave the room and switch back to a paper KN95. Although I wanted the product and the protection, I don't see how I am going to be able to use it in my dental office. In addition, one of the two straps that holds the mask in place is considerably too long. I also have a tiny face and I ordered the largest mask. It is very tight and left marks on my skin. As a healthcare provider who still needs to communicate, I am very disappointed.

The mask needed to be at least 2 and maybe 3 sizes. I am 6’2” and 235 lbs. useful but not the most comfort. The saving grace is it works with my glasses with no fog.

Mask works great and protects well; small mishap with shipping manifest was quickly fixed with an email to customer support.

The mask generally does what you expect on the inhale and is probably better protection for the wearer than cloth masks, even one's with filters where the air likely follows the path of least resistance around the filter. But exhaling forces air out of the sides of the mask which is still not great for everyone around you, but that's probably no worse than other masks. However, the front filter holder cover does not snap on very securely, and if you have it on for a little while the condensate (essentially drool) builds up on your own chin. It's also more cumbersome to take off and put on than most other masks.

Quick shipping and a quality product. Hope the black earloops are back in stock soon! I would highly recommend this mask to those folks who value quality over price.

Great mask. Love the different colors and the fact that this mask is an N95 mask and that it is reusable. I feel very safe in this mask and definitely feel safer in this mask than in my kn95 mask.

It’s a good product but not something you want to wear while doing anything exerting. Far too hard to breathe to use while exercising, working or going on a long walk.

Generally a good fit but might be more comfortable. However, I broke my nose as a child, so this is a factor. Mask seals better as it heats up. Generally stops glasses fogging.

Straightforward and easy process. I placed my order, got a timely shipping notification and the product arrived on time and without defects.

N-95 maskes have padding around the nose and a metal strip to bend the mask into a fit around the nose bridge. This mask has niether so there's always a gap around the nose. Nice idea, poorly executed.

Product was very slow to arrive. I had a shipment arrive from Germany and another from China arrive faster. Poor communication: I was left to guess the status of my order for weeks. When it arrived it was too small to be worn (I ordered the size according to site guidelines), so I opted to buy longer straps for the face mask, and those took another few weeks to arrive with no communication on the status until I asked for it. It was months before I could wear the mask.

I like it but seems to small

While the product appears to use good materials and is well made, their ad and website paint a brighter picture than the actual mask provides. The overall size of the mask (M-L) is small (other reviewers mention this). It certainly is too small for me. The size of the actual filter material is minimal, restricted airflow and breathing resistance is the result. If a person is active the restricted air flow is extreme. I use various types of respirators occupationally and I thought this respirator (N95) would be good for going to the store etc. I think better information is needed on their website so there is a better match of the product to the user.

The CastleGrade mask has undergone a number of improvements and certifications since it was first introduced a few months ago. For me, those changes make this mask-hands down- my first choice for two-way protection. From the outset, I liked the fact that the mask was reusable, cost effective, and made of form-fitting silicone. However, even though I could comfortably breathe while wearing the mask, I found the fit to be a bit uncomfortable with the original straps. The company used such feedback to make important improvements, and in terms of comfort, the ear straps were a complete game changer for me. The longer head straps were also an improvement over the original model. Given those improvements, the chemical safety tests and certifications (it surpasses N95 capacity), this mask is a real winner. Bottom line- I feel “comfortably safe” and environmentally responsible while wearing this mask.

The mask was far too small. I ordered the large size.

The unit needs to be very tight to prevent leaky. I used the ear loops, seems to require a lot of pressure.
