I've come across the term "simple" many times when it comes to building a website. I've learned to be very cautious. Something can be simple to a person who works with the system on a daily basis but impossible for someone who's never seen the system before.

Carrd promised that making a one-page website was easy. They're actually right. I don't like the process of setting up a website - I find it an incredibly boring and slow process. I gave it a try and a couple of hours later I had a website using a template.

Instructions were intuitive and easy to understand. Deleting the stuff not needed, adding new elements and move things around was easy too.

There are of course limits to the free version but for my use I have all I need.
So as far as I'm concerned Carrd kept their promise. Lets see how it goes going forward.

I'm amazed by what I managed to create in under an hour, and it was FREE!!!! I would definitely recommend this for a business start up. I haven't had any issues so far; I've read the other reviews, so I'm hoping my experience continues in this positive direction. I'll keep this review updated, but so far, no complaints!!!

As far as now my experience was quite good. But I´m easy to catch. Don´t need much and appreciate simplicity. For People who are looking for a not overloaded Websitebuilder it might be a good jouce. Hope, my Website will work all the years from now on.

Also I like that AJ initially created this Pagebuilder on his own. It works fluidly if you learn how to use it.

I’ve been using carrd for multiple years and have made the jump to a 19 euros a year plan and I have not regretted it. Even though stuff has its limits, it’s so easy to just have that digital business card that is easily editable from anywhere, and I’ve only had positive experiences with their costumer service even though I experienced a glitch.

This company is a horrid one. This product used to be okay. But the fact that they try to sell it to you as your web page, and then turn around and decide they can moderate your web page for any reason? If it isn't illegal, what does it matter?

Mine was taken down because of fictional violence. A friends was taken down because there was a bikini pictures in it.

There are way better services to pay for.

Also, this is hilarious, because I've seen stuff from the FF14 community back in the day that showed obscene content.

Couldn't find how to save without publishing, left open to come back to work, site had closed, reopened it all my work,hours, was gone. NO HISTORY?
Terrible product

Saw that fellow YouTubers had Carrds, decided to try it out.

Firstly this account verification thing took a while. Left it for another day.

When I decided to then log in, it wanted an authentication code which was sent to my email. No problem, let me find it... where's the code? I just get an email that's titled "Login from new device" then a load of ramble about my device, IP, and time I logged in. I click resend for the code. Exact same thing, I have no idea what's going on. Resend for the second time, ah, there we go, at last!

Third point. Site got taken down. For no reason. Possibly to my own links to other sites I made because the system thought they were potentially shady, even though they’re safe and don't contain any malicious material.

Sorry for being a grump, but my patience has literally run out here. I just can't be bothered to have it manually checked. I’ll just make it on another platform and move on.

I so wanted to LOVE Carrd.com, great price, nice templates. Jumped right in and paid the yearly basic fee of $19. Wahooooo.
My excitement was short lived, after I spend half a day, a window popped up asking me to reload, so I said sure. AND EVERYTHING WAS GONE. There is no button to save and apparently no AUTO SAVE. So I started over and on the second day, when I am adding the finishing touches.....suddenly the site won't load, has some message about possible content violations?? WHAT? Then site is unavailable pretty much all day.... can't refresh, can't load... can't chat, can't call, so I submit a ticket.

Carrd Response: "Apologies for that. The site should be back up now. Doni" WHAT??? That's the explanation?

Rookie platform with rookie support. Trying to get my $$$ back, we'll see.

I paid for the Basic Pro plan and later purchased a template, only to find out after the purchase that most templates are unusable unless you upgrade to a higher-tier plan. This restriction was not clearly disclosed beforehand, making the template effectively worthless.

I declined to upgrade on principle and requested a refund. Carrd took several days to respond. When they did, the reply was informal and unprofessional—no use of my name, no proper greeting, and signed casually as “AJ.”

Carrd’s pricing structure feels intentionally opaque, and their customer support does little to inspire confidence. I would not recommend this service to anyone who values transparency or professional treatment.

I’ve used Carrd for years and it continues to be THE BEST site builders I’ve tried. Simple, and quick. The referral program is also very generous, a couple of times my referral credits were high enough that I didn’t have to pay for my yearly subscription at all. Their pricing is genuinely the best in the business.

I even contacted them about a collaboration with the school I work at so students could use Carrd for portfolio sites, and they set up a custom code plus a special student discount. Genuinely a lovely experience.

The use of carrd is fairly simple and works generally well. However, it has had some major reliability issues recently. I had repeated complaints about browser warnings because of the ssl certificate. Lately I had to shut my carrd website down because payments were no langer accepted by carrd.

Spent a day building an entire landing page just for it to be all deleted after my screen froze, and I had to refresh the page. I had not saved in between, relaying on auto-save options most other providers offer. Ultimately my own fault, but I also don't understand how there is a paid tool that does not have auto-save in 2025. Should be at least mentioned in bold and very visible on the editor pages.

The experience with their support is always pleasant. Website work well and great cost. Would recommend!

Using carrd is perfect for people looking to start a new project but don't want to invest big money on it! MVPs, waitlists, landing pages as well as full-on business websites, or portfolios.

Carrd can do it all, but for non-designers it's 100% worth starting with a Carrd template and skip 90% of the work.
