I'm not against asking for ID, however it just caused a lot of stress and hassle when having to buy the product and then put in ID. I wanted to buy a £50 gift card, I didn't have my ID on me, as I had lost it. So I paid the amount, it went out of my bank account and since I used PayPal I will have to again pay transaction fees. ID verification should 1000000000000% be before payment. Since for whatever reason, if someone isn't able to provide such. That should abstain them from paying.

Anyways I don't care about that, this company is mega weird for doing all of that. Would I recommend buying from this place even if you're willing to give ID. ... no.

The only good thing is that the pending charges did come quickly, but the whole taking money, withholding it until id is given is weird. As well as the whole confidentiality clause. It's giving weird, and borderline money laundering.

like I'm trying to buy a build a bear gift card TF is there a confidentiality clause.

Shame on the owners, don't buy from this place, the website was sooooo made with AI.

Update (after the company’s response):

I never expected this to escalate like this.

After posting my original Trustpilot review, Cards2Cash emailed me saying they had closed my account and placed all payments on hold because I had opened a public dispute. They also stated that the hold would remain in place until all public disputes were removed.

They referred to their confidentiality clause as justification.

My original concern was simply that I had evidence my Amazon gift card had already been redeemed, yet support repeatedly gave me the same template response and refused to address the issue. Even my formal complaint received essentially the same answer.

Now the situation has become something much bigger than a delayed payment. I genuinely cannot support a business that, in my experience, tells a customer that payment will remain on hold until negative public reviews are removed.

I have kept the emails and screenshots documenting the entire exchange.

Ironically, this is no longer about the money. If they had simply explained their position professionally, I probably would have moved on. Instead, their response to criticism has only reinforced my decision never to use their service again.

Everyone is free to make their own decision, but I believe potential customers deserve to know how this situation was and is handled.

A nice idea. But after Cards2Cash my gift card for many many months it hasn't sold. So I guess it will just go out of date and I will lose £hundreds.
So a nice idea. But unless the discounts get increased over time then I can see lots of credit just getting wasted.

What's not to like? If you need to buy or sell a gift card quickly, securely and with a professional team behind them for any issues that may arise, Cards2Cash is the only place to go. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for gift cards, their customer service is exemplary and is really easy to buy and sell cards.

I have used this website one time now with no issues, however, after doing a bank transfer to purchase a giftcard (cheaper than the debit card option) and nothing happening, I proceeded to cancel. I then opted for the standard debit card option but was then asked to verify with a picture of my driving licence. I wasn't happy to provide my driving licence so I cancelled this transaction. This of course locked my account so I made contact and was asked to provide a screenshot of my transfer and was advised that my account would be looked into. Following this correspondence, I then see an email confirming that the transfer had gone through (despite me cancelling) and at an increase of 1%. I have asked them to refund this as it now means I'll be paying more for the voucher, and more importantly, I didn't authorise them to do this. I've been advised that the money will sit in my account until I use it and they can't do refunds.

Everything was absolutely fine up until this point, you have also now decided to ignore my correspondence. You've essentially stolen money, I had not approved this transaction hence cancelling.

Very easy to use, and I got payment for my card exactly when they said it would be paid out. Good communication and regular updates throughout.

Overall Good Experience. Wish they had gift cards for more retailers though. Customer service were quite quick in resolving issues with some gift cards I purchased.

Used this website a few times now for buying and selling gift cards. Never had issues with cards I've bought. Sometimes my cards don't sell straight away, but I always get paid 2 weeks later, like it says I will!

This company is a bit scammy compared to proper companies like cardyard. Avoid at all costs.

I have very bad experience, I brought a gift card for £15 for amazon, but the card had been already used, and cards2cash did not issue refund. Finally, I have to get the refund from Monzo.

Bought some Argos gift cards couldn’t refund them so decided to sell these and buy m&s cards which I could
Use for groceries instead. Sold about £300+ worth of Argos gift cards and bought equivalent amount of m&s gift cards. Was able to redeem m&s gift cards but given £300+ pounds worth had to use it over multiple weeks months. Despite keeping tracking of the balance I noticed someone was also drawing down on the balance in small increments and then increasingly larger. Bold enough to actually redeem
The entire card now. In total previous owner just have used £80 pounds worth after selling it. No help from customer service. Will never buy from them again.

My friend recently sold a John Lewis Giftcard to this website because my friend used my bank account and because the name didn't match the account they won't send me the money or give me the credit for the purchase, they aren't replying to my emails so i've resorted to leaving a review (my friend used my bank account to sell the giftcard for me but now your system says the names don't match so i can't withdraw my money nor get a voucher as my friend is not comfortable giving his ID please in the future require ID to be able to sell gift cards as if this was the case i wouldn't have been scammed by your company)

Couldn't have been easier! Payment made exactly when promised.

One would always be doubtful of a service like this, but i got the money exactly on the day they had mentioned. I have no complaints nor do i have any reason to downgrade the ratings.

easy transaction

I was a bit skeptic at first as it was the first time using a platform to sell a voucher. The voucher did not sell super quickly but it did in a couple of weeks (It’d be nice to receive a notification when the voucher is sold) and they paid me when they said they were going to (after a 14 day quarantine period). Really recommended
