I am trying to act as guarantor for a friend but this system is ridiculously inflexible and does not understand what it is doing. It has found my pension income from my bank account but cannot accept it because it cannot appear to calculate it. I have proof of savings and pension value, in excess of £1,000,000. The agent expressed exasperation as the information I showed her was very clear and stated she did not really understand how Canopy operates. Without this issue it is a difficult and confusing system that both I and the proposed tenant had trouble with (it too me over an hour to get the id confirmation to work) and there is no way we could find to ask them other than a general query section separate from the application that doesn’t allow input of an e mail address in the section designated for it!!! We are trying to work with the agency directly as they are pretty confused with this system.

As a tenant it's awful how you are treated. The website will say things have been sent to referees when they haven't. Things are sent to junk mail. Lots of invasive checks . Makes sense in a capitalist system that doesn't care about the vulnerability of being a tenant. Just want to say to any other tenants who've been treated like crap by this company (and the estate agents) that I see you.
