What just happened to me?
The agent should have told me there would be a substantial fee for using your service - in fact, the agent did not indicate that you were a separate entity. I was under the impression the agency was covering marketing expenses until the campaign had concluded. Technically, I suppose, they can't be held responsible for disclosing the fees of a third party - and, similarly, you can't know you will have a client before you have that client. But there was no way for *me* to know that I would be asked to pay hundreds of additional dollars until I had signed a contract with the agent, and the furniture stylist and photographer had already worked on my house. This gave me no option but to move forward and sign up for your service. That's entrapment. Your fees are steep, presumably due to the risk profile of these loans - but I could have avoided all of this with adequate and timely disclosure. I could have made arrangements with my own bank. I suppose the argument is that the agent will make it all back for me in the sale price of the home. Let's hope so!

To clarify, CampaignAgent provides a payment solution for property marketing. If the Pay Later option is selected, we pay the marketing costs upfront on your behalf, and a flat fee is applied for that service. These details are outlined during the application process and in the supporting documents provided before entering into the agreement.
That said, we understand your concern about the timing of when this became clear to you. Feeling like you didn’t have a genuine choice in that moment is not a good experience, and your feedback around earlier and clearer disclosure is important. We’ll take this on board.
It’s also important to note that CampaignAgent helps vendors pay for their marketing, but the campaign itself, including when suppliers like photographers or stylists are engaged, is managed by your listing agent. We’d recommend raising this directly with your agent, particularly around how and when the payment options were explained to you.
