Having followed calm over chaos on instagram for a couple of years I finally bit the bullet and purchased both the dopamine markers, the blending brush set, some constellation glitter pens and two books that suit both types of brushes. I picked two bundles to get the best deal.
What can I say, after two weeks of using them I feel transformed, haha. The pens are absolutely amazing. I particularly love the blendable ones - it makes you feel like an actual artist even though you're 'just' colouring. It's so unbelievably relaxing. It has made me stop scrolling my phone while watching TV as instead I just colour (ADHD brain right here). The quality is phenomenal, the customer service was efficient and polite, and I can't recommend them more. Worth spending the bit of extra money than just buying any old pens. This company has absolutely nailed both quality and design from start to finish. From the moment you receive their products, it’s clear they’ve put real thought into every detail. I have now placed a few orders at calm over chaos, majority of the items are brilliant and the glitter constellation pens are seamlessly smooth. I do however feel like the colouring books would be better if they were NOT double sided. Then completed pages could be removed and displayed without having to lose the image on the reverse side. Especially with the high cost of the books, it would be a lot more cost efficient to customers if you didn’t have to choose between images to lose if framing them in your home.

My other small concern is that the words on the posters and in the books are always squashed together. If you colour the words in the same colour, it all sometimes looks like one continuous word and it’s hard to decipher what the image says. Making the spaces between words slightly clearer would be perfect.

Brilliant, will definitely be buying more from these!

We love these pens. They are lovely to use and very rich colours. But we love the amazing box they came in even more! So much to colour! And great to keep craft supplies in. Genuinely good fun and living up to the feel-good dopamine-boosting brand

I've been admiring Calm Over Chaos products for MONTHS! I did think everything was quite expensive which put me off ordering anything for a while but I finally gave in and I cannot believe how much joy these pens and colouring book have brought me! They are so worth the money! I ordered the Butter's quiet afternoon kit and I am actually OBSESSED! The alcohol markers blend so well and you cannot see any pen marks or streaks at all. It looks like the colour has been printed on! The glitter gel pens are beautiful as well. It took me a while to figure out how to use the glitter brush pen but it's so sparkly! I can't wait to finish the colouring book so I can read it to my future children one day 🥰 Also, the packaging is absolutely genius- You can turn the box inside out so it becomes a colouring toolbox to keep all your pens and books in! I'm already excited to colour the box in 🙈 I will definitely be ordering more products from Calm Over Chaos. Cannot recommend them enough!

Had a minor issue with a product description which was resolved quickly and really nicely handled. Now to the pens and glitter pens themselves- amazing. They are simply the best of the best and worth every penny. Will 100% buy again

So I spent a small fortune of a bundle which included the full marker set, colouring book and glitter pens and also purchased 3 glitter markers.

As always when I take delivery of new colouring markers I tried them out , some of the colours do not match what it is shown to be nor the name of the colour, 1 for example should be sky blue but came out turquoise green . The glitter markers do take a while to actually come through enough to get a steady flow from it .

The colouring book could be alot better and easier if it was spiral bound , especially with how expensive the bundles are !

Also to note they do not seamlessly blend you can see the brush strokes if you your doing a big area the same colour

I have always loved the thought of colouring and know the benefits for mental health and mindfulness, but I have always found the reality really frustrating … until now! I have tried loads of different pens after watching inspo videos online and have been left disappointed, and assumed that colouring is just a skill I don’t have. BUT calm over chaos pens help me colour like a pro! They blend, they are buildable for shading, not too wet, not too dry, and the brush allows for fast coverage of large areas while the tip allows for precision colouring in the tightest of spaces. The box they arrived in is essentially a free gift and my first project with my new pens- such a great idea and a fun way to prevent waste.
A bad workman might blame his tools but a master craftsman recognises quality tools that are fit for purpose. For the first time in my 48 years of ADHD life, I was able to sit calmly and get lost in an almost meditative state for well in excess of an hour 😮
I will be collecting more colours!

I saw an advert for the alcohol markers on Instagram, and I was curious if they were really that good. Turns out, yes they are! I'm enjoying finding out how the colours blend with each other and they're a joy to use.
I was also very excited to see how the box they arrived in could be reused!

I was really anxious before ordering and worried I might have overspent on colouring supplies, but seeing the quality and care that goes into them completely reassured me. The products are wonderful, and it’s clear a lot of thought goes into every detail. I also love that the company donates to charities — that makes it even more special!

Overall, I am really happy with my order from CalmOverChaos. This was actually my first order for myself — my dad has bought me a few of their colouring books over the years and I’ve always really enjoyed them. I’ve never personally bought pens before because I’m an artist and already own professional pens, brushes, and paints… however, I caved when my friends and I decided to have a girls’ night.

I do want to say that because I work in the industry, my eye may be a little more critical than the average person — but everything I mention below was also noticed by my friends.

The brush pens (the original Calm Over Chaos set, I believe) are beautiful for small, detailed areas. They are creamy, blendable, and come in a really lovely variety of colours. My friends and I all agreed that while you can’t be too heavy-handed with them, they are very easy to use and look really nice. However, when colouring larger areas they do become quite streaky and need multiple layers to build up even coverage.

The glitter pens really surprised me — I didn’t expect them to be such good quality and I genuinely enjoyed using them. My only small disappointment was that there was no red included. We did notice there were several very similar shades (multiple yellows, blues, and greens), and it would have been nice to swap one of those for a red. I know red glitter pens may be difficult to make, but since it’s a primary colour, it might be something to consider in the future.

As someone who does portrait work, I just want to say: the glitter brush pens are a 10/10. Do not walk — run and get them. They are absolutely stunning and I honestly have nothing bad to say about them. They are easy to use, beginner-friendly, and you can control how glittery you want them to be. Truly beautiful pens.

The colouring books are also lovely. I genuinely love them. The paper quality is really good, the illustrations are enjoyable to colour, and the bold lines make them especially satisfying to work with.

The only reason this isn’t a five-star review is due to a small packaging issue. Everything was packed beautifully and securely, including the brush pens, however there was one loose white glitter pen brush in the box that I didn’t order and that wasn’t in any packaging. Unfortunately, some glitter had spilled onto the box and pages of my colouring book. That said, because the pens are so forgiving and easy to colour over, it was simple to fix — and I did technically get a free pen 🤣

I haven’t reported this as I know this is a small business and it genuinely looks like an honest mistake. We were also too excited to get started and didn’t want to wait before using everything. (The communication I have had via the website has been really helpful and friendly)

I can also confidently say the glitter pens will last a long time — judging by how much glitter had spilled into the box compared to how much was still left in the pen, you’ll definitely get good use out of them 🤣😂

I will absolutely be adding the glitter brush pens to my client work, and I would happily use the normal brush pens for smaller detailed sections in my own projects. I genuinely think this brand has the potential to take off big time, be stocked in shops, and maybe even have its own stores one day.

Overall, I am really pleased with my order and I don’t want this to come across as negative — I just wanted to be honest and helpful. I will definitely be ordering again.

Delivery was very quick too!!

I had been debating awhile regarding buying any products and once I bought I haven’t looked back. Excellent quality books snd pens and supporting a small business as well is great.

Currently a 2*, and only just, because whilst the books are good quality, they’ve shrunk them to 21cm which would be fine but they didn’t shrink the images to accommodate the new sizing so lettering is off the page, which is a shame and ruins the aesthetic.

Ordered the glitter pens, some of them had bubbles in the ink cartridge so didn’t work, and multiple pens had cracked/ broken lids - they did replace them with a set that was much better, so that was lovely but they do run out quickly..

Don’t invest in the dual pens, the thin side is way to thin and the ink doesn’t flow, plus 2 of these pens in the set also didn’t work - again reported and swatch video sent - I got a 10% off voucher. Not a lot when you consider delivery prices..

Then ordered the new 30 brush pen set after having the older set (which was fab!) and I am so disappointed. The consistency of the ink flowing varies from pen to pen with some being so so dry and patchy. I’ve emailed multiple times to Eve - support@calmoverchaos - and after telling me to dip the end of the brush in a little bit of water - I’ve heard nothing. No, the trick didn’t work.

To be honest, I ordered 3 more books most recently, and with the inconsistent ink in the pens, lack of adjusting the size of designs to fit the new booklet sizes, lack of communication, and paying for next day delivery (£7.99) - which wasn’t the case, it took three days - I will think again before ordering and will say so to others I have previously recommended.

It absolutely sucks as I’ve used the company for years, getting gifts from them at Christmas etc, but since expanding the business, quality and communication seems to be falling behind/no longer a priority 🥺

You can get just as good pens and 12x12 books from places like the range and using BIC intensity pens. I hope to one day retract this and see the company become once again, what it used to be..

After raving about Calm Over Chaos products from their promotions, I was given the Let’s Be Better Humans colouring book and a set of brush pens for Christmas. Unfortunately the orange pen ran out after a couple of minutes and the pink pen did not work at all!
We contacted Calm Over Chaos to report the issue and because the pack of pens had been discontinued, they offered either a partial refund or a discount voucher to buy one of their other pen sets.
I wasn’t happy with this as expected to have a full set of working pens as described without spending additional money. It was cheeky of Calm Over Chaos to presume I’d want to purchase again considering I wasn’t happy with the first order! So we said that if they couldn’t replace the original pens then they should replace with a similar set free of charge. They refused.
I’m upset and disappointed that my Christmas gift is sub standard, and that I can’t enjoy using all of the colours as expected. Calm Over Chaos customer service has been rubbish, I wouldn’t recommend - if something goes wrong they don’t care!

In short, my review states that if you allow your admin's to speak to people the way they do, to customers for having opinions of the products, then you are as bad as they are. I can provide screenshots of examples of when a certain admin was quite rude and aggressive in her responses to customers, just because a customer disliked a certain product. Like i said below, customers are allowed to like certain products and not others, that is reality. If your admin doesn't like that, then that is their problem, but you need to monitor their responses as a business owner and 'train' your minions in how to respond. Like I said, it's CULT like behaviour, and you have lost a long time customer in me. Please address this with your admins about their responses, or i'll address it myself on the community page and screenshot it. oh no, wait, the post will get deleted, god forbid if anything negative is said.

I have purchased every product from COC, and i love 90% of them. When i say something on the community page, it is like a cult! the post gets deleted, and you face the wrath of the admins. The 'chosen ones' to run the page - which is toxic, because god forbid if you say anything negative, you'll get sworn at, called 'nasty' and then get ignored when you ask questions. It is unrealistic for customers to absolutely love EVERY product from a company, and that is okay.

The way you're spoken to is no fault of Millies, but I do believe that if you can see what is going on, see the way people are spoken to, and know that not every customer likes EVERY product and that that it's okay to say you don't like something, but you do nothing about it, then that needs to be addressed. It is unrealistic as some people on there treat the community like it's a cult, and it's toxic. That is what it feels like.

Requested their water-based brush pens and glitter brush pens as Xmas presents and I am obsessed! It is definitely a bit of a learning curve to use them in the best way but they are wonderful. The most giddy I have been about a Christmas present since I was a child. Thank you, thank you!
