The irony that I need a calming blanket more than ever after this!

Ordered on the 4th November. Haven’t had a single email to update me on the status of my delivery without me emailing them first. Now onto my third email. Still pushing sales online even though they can’t fulfil existing orders. On each occasion they have given me the opportunity to cancel my order, had given them the benefit of the doubt but will be cancelling this time round, just hope I get my money back.

Same as the rest of the reviews - avoid this company

Do not buy from this company - been waiting over a month for a blanket for my little boy to arrive. He is very specific in his needs and it’s so very frustrating that it’s still not turned up. Customer service are polite but useless. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible company! Avoid at all costs!

Placed an order around 26th October, and still nothing. Sent a cancellation email and still nothing despite almost daily emails from them about the latest deals they have! Will be interesting to see how long it takes to get my refund. Paid by credit card, so hopefully all will be well in the end.

Have been reading ŕecent reviews and I agree with other reviewers. I am still waiting for an order placed on 17th November. Others have been waiting much longer. Email reply today says another 7 days and offers cancellation and a full refund. This is a specifically requested Christmas gift recommended to be the best and I fear I will not receive the calming blanket or a refund of my money. Cannot find anywhere else to order from. I try so hard not to be scammed and this seemed a genuine site. Wished I had realised it is Australia based and not the UK. Would have ordered 2nd Christmas gift choice of a different blanket from another company

Item never dispatched!!

Items ordered over 2 weeks ago and still not even been dispatched. I’ve contacted their customer services by email on two occasions but still no reply. Not sure if this is a legitimate company with true reviews or not. Really poor service, and I can’t get my money back as they don’t reply.

Very worrying - do NOT buy from this company

Very worrying - purchased a blanket over 4 weeks ago now, when I chased after 2 weeks to see where the blanket was, I was told there was a back log and it would be with me in 7 days… or I could request a refund straight away. Said I would wait, it still hasn’t appeared, so I have requested a refund and heard absolutely nothing. Now being bombarded with Black Friday sale emails! Would NOT recommend and am concerned about this company now (and my money!!)

AVOID if you actually want to receive your order!

I don't think I've ever come across a company that cares less about their customers than Calming Blankets. Like many others have said on here, I placed an order for 2 blankets on 28th October and nearly 4 weeks on, they still haven't been shipped it. I contacted them, to be told they had warehousing issues which created a backlog. So I questioned why they were still accepting orders and heavily promoting their sale if they couldn't cope with the order volume. Clearly money is the only motivation. I ordered these as gifts, deliberately early in time for birthdays and despite that, I've had to buy alternatives as they've not sent them. I was assured they would have caught up by the end of last week, but I haven't heard anything. I even asked if they could upgrade my shipping in order to get it quicker when it finally shipped. But there has been zero motivation from their side to help - they simply don't seem to care. I'm absolutely disgusted with their service and would tell anyone to AVOID this company like the plague!

No delivery

Seems to be a common theme, ordered my blankets 22 days ago and nothing, no comms, no help, story keeps on changing, then it's logistics company, then it's backlog but no deliver, be careful.

Update: 20th Feb 2024. Got a reply from them saying how sorry they are. Blanket finally arrived in Dec 2 months after ordering, toy arrive 3 months after ordering no update and no correspondence from them besides trying to sell more stuff. Still wouldn't use them for any purchases.

A month later and still waiting...

Ordered two blankets on 22nd October and its now 21st November and I'm still waiting. I was told there was an issue with the stock being moved to a warehouse and they couldn't find it then one of the blankets was sold out so I asked for a different colour then they said the other blanket was also sold out so again I asked for a different colour and they reordered them both but still waiting? Think I will cancel the order after reading these reviews!@

Ordered blanket on 5th November not arrived

Ordered blanket on 5th November, company replied one time to an email asking for an update, not replied to my further two emails.
The lady who did respond was very polite and gave me a timescale of 10 days. It is 16 days and sadly no despatch notice.

Do Not Buy From them!!

Ordered a blanket 31st October...and still waiting. I emailed them initially to chase up the order and they said there was an issue with the warehouse so would be dispatched by end of week, otherwise I could cancel and get refund. Emailed the following week that I wanted to cancel and refund as the item had still not been dispached, however I was not allowed to cancel and get refund because it was due for shipping...this was 3 days ago now. Haven't heard back from them now and not received refund, will have to go through bank to see if i can recover any of the money! Would recommend people to stay away from this company! Will also be reporting them for this awful behaviour as its not just a "one off", there is multiple times they have done this to people!

Like many others here, I haven't received my blanket yet. Have been waiting two weeks. Their customer services rep has said they are working flat out to process orders. I'm now going to contact PayPal to see if they can help.

I have not received my blanket.

I ordered my blanket over three weeks ago. I have not received it. I have emailed several times. Apparently there has been an issue in the warehouse, which has created a backlog!!! I was offered a refund, but now I have decided to get a refund they are not answering my emails.

Postscript...as I bought using PayPal I logged a complaint and got a prompt refund.

Awful company who can't fulfil orders

Edit: finally received a refund for the blanket that never arrived after I informed them I would contact trading standards and report Calming Blankets and Davie Ventures Pty Ltd to the ACCC. Never again!

****** EDIT: 2 of 3 items have now arrived however I have still not received the bamboo weighted blanket so the fleecy cover that has arrived is completely redundant. The company responded promptly to 3 follow up emails however they did not provide a date of when I may expect the remainder of my order which was placed 4 weeks ago. Now I have asked for a refund for the final item they have stopped responding to me. Safe to say I do not recommend this company and will never purchase anything from them again ****

I ordered last week from the UK site. Same issue as reviews below, no delivery and no notification of dispatch. I am receiving daily marketing emails however to buy further products!

I am unsure whether this is a bogus company or their UK based operation is too small to fulfil orders?

I have contacted the company and will update this review when the issue has been resolved (including what this entailed and how long it took).

Would give a zero if I could

Would give a zero if I could, ordered blanket on 18th Oct, says 1 to 2 days for delivery. Still hasn't arrived and now asking for refund, no reply at all.

Have had to raise a dispute in order to get a refund.

Edited Tues 20th Feb 2024. Considering its taken your company till now, 4 months later to respond, shows how incompetent and how bad a business it is.

Not interested thanks, I received a refund, as far as I'm concerned there are plenty of other places a lot cheaper, as good if not better quality and more reliable than yourselves. The one I ordered from Amazon in the end, which ended up being a belated birthday present for my daughter, is perfect and it cost a lot less.

This was a special bday present too, I m so disappointed.

Poor Shipment system

I ordered a blanket on 25th October - today is the 30th and still NO news on shipment or even any updates on my order. It says "free express delivery" on the website and even that is potentially a lie.

Rather ironically, a stressful buying experience

Rather ironically this was an unnecessarily stressful buying experiences. The first order i placed (3 items) was accepted but never despatched. When i chased after a week - having had absolutely no communications whatsoever from them - i was told one of the items was out of stock and i shouldn't have been able to order it (even putting aside the stock management system issue, quite why they didn't just communicate this i don't know). They placed a replacement order, swapping the OOS item for an in stock variant. Despite telling me it would be shipped within a couple of days , I received no further communication so I wasn't sure if it had finally been shipped or not. 5 days after placing the replacement order (nearly 2 weeks after placing the initial order) i chased this and was told that now one of the other items was OOS. Calming Blankets, why don't you just communicate with your customers instead of sitting on an order knowing that you cannot ever deliver it? If you had communicated at the time, i may have been able to order an alternative product. Now i cannot place a replacement order even if i wanted to because it appears almost all your stock has gone. Sort your systems out please.
UPDATE 1/11, can get no response whatsoever from them and now i am struggling to get refund. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give it 0 I would as the blanket never turned up, no customer service and now going down claiming money back-stay clear if you actually want your item!
