My daughter dipped a bit in her prelims. I decided to employ the services of Caledonian Tutor to cover Maths, English, Biology and Chemistry. She ended up scoring A in all her subjects. She was very happy with all her teachers especially the English teacher.

My daughter struggled massively with maths. She missed out on being taught the very basics during Covid and consequently her confidence took a huge nosedive arriving into high school. Lack of teachers and consistency with teaching over the last 4 years took their toll however we reached out to Caledonia Tutors and were paired up with Kiera who literally turned it around in less than 18 months. Kiera was so patient, kind, caring and happy to go at my daughter’s pace. Kiera was also very proactive contacting my daughter by WhatsApp with homework and even helping her with anything she was struggling with in class. My daughter received her Nat 5 results last week and got a B!! Her prelim was a 35%!! So so pleased with Kiera and can’t recommend her highly enough! Thank you again 🥰

Aidan was responsive when getting set up with a tutor originally and then Hollie did a terrific job understanding my child’s needs, adapting to them and building confidence. Outcome, moving from a C at Higher English prelim to an A in final exam over a few months.

My tutor Maria was very good at explaining the topic in steps which made it easier to learn the subject as a whole. Also by having questions that challenged me. Finally throughout the whole experience she encouraged me to keep going and eventually get an A.

My son had Leo tutoring him for N5 Maths and he was kind, patient, and had an excellent way of teaching to suit my son. He was delighted to get an A in his final exam. He is already more confident moving forward with Higher Maths knowing Leo will be helping him along the way.

We are absolutely delighted with Caledonia Tutors and would 100% recommend them for anyone looking for a good tutor for their child studying for exams (Nat 5s or Highers). With weekly online sessions with Katie our son went from a C in Nat 5 Physic’s prelims to A Band 1 final result. The sessions were convenient and easy to access online. Katie was reliable, friendly, did lots of past paper practice and worked through any problem areas and explained things in a way that worked so well. We’re absolutely delighted and have recommended them to friends already.

I found tutors for English, Biology and Chemistry advanced highers. I worked with Elsie, Ben and Bob and they were all so helpful and reliable. Each lesson was tailored to my needs and when i came to a lesson with something slightly different or a new question all tutors adjusted accordingly.

Our daughter was a bit low on confidence in maths after starting in high school. Caledonia Tutors put us in touch with Katie, and they have had regular lessons online for most of the last year.

The result has been better than we hoped - thanks to Katie's ability to explain, encourage and listen to what she needed, our daughter has not just become much more confident but has also started to enjoy maths and even excel in it - she was so proud to get full marks in a recent exam.

The teaching has focused on filling gaps in her understanding, explaining strategies and giving her the tools to engage more fully in class. It's made a huge difference and we couldn't be happier.

The online sessions work well from a technical point of view, too. It's a fantastic service.

My son Reuben had a maths tutor, Katie Heggie, from Caledonia Tutors. I would recommend Katie to anyone looking for a maths tutor as her ability to get the best out of my son has really impressed me. Katie is diligent and has a really flexible approach to tutoring, and the improvement in my son's understanding is obvious.

My daughter used Clare for French Nat 5 tutoring. She wasn't initially keen on online tutoring but Clare built up a great rapport with her and has really helped to increase her confidence in the subject. All interactions with Aidan to set this up have been really helpful and responses have been quick. Overall we've had a great experience.

Lydia Johnston has been tutoring our son for the last two years, initially for Nat 5 Biology and this year for Higher Human Biology. She’s been a fantastic tutor - focussed and knowledgeable - and most importantly able to make the lessons enjoyable and engaging.

Head start programme was excellent for my son. We did two topics - Chemistry and Physics. Gave my son a flying start and he got A's in his Nat 5 prelims.
