We are very sorry your order has not made it to you yet. All of our December orders have been collected by our courier DHL. Specifically your order was collected on 15th December and is in their delivery network.

However, DHL are currently struggling with an enormous back log of deliveries caused by many factors out with bythebottle.co.uk's control. This includes, but is not limited to seasonal volume within their delivery network, staff sickness (rife throughout the UK), and industry wide strike action, resulting in a larger than usual strain on DHL's network.

Whilst we appreciate this has been very disappointing for you, it is also extremely disappointing for us as a small business just starting out (we only launched bythebottle.co.uk in November). Our couriers back log and lack of clarity is affecting all of our customers, and it makes us look terrible.

I believe, outside of the festive season and the current courier mayhem, we do offer a much better service than the one you have received with us, and would be very grateful if you will give us another chance in the future, and possibly revise your 1 star review if you see fit.

In regards to your current order, we are doing everything we can to try and get information from DHL in regards to where your order is.

Again, I can't stress how much we apologise for this quite frankly rubbish situation.

False advertising

They advertised (by picture) a bottle of gin, which is hard to find and instead sent me a different, widely accessible bottle with the same name. Conveniently charging me the cost of the advertised bottle, which is much more than the one I received.

We understand your frustration concerning this issue, but I assure you we absolutely never intended to falsely advertise this product to you. The error we made is simply uploading the wrong product information to the product we have in stock because. This happened because there are two different "Blind Tiger" Gins on the market.

Unfortunately mistakes do happen as has happened here. As explained to you in the email we sent you on 28th December, this was simply an honest mistake and you are more than welcome to return this product to us completely free of charge for a full refund. We have also issued you what we think is a generous discount code to use in future if you so wish. Please, if you have not received this email, let us know and we can resend it to you.

In regards to the price of the product, all of our prices are based on our cost price in the stock system we use, and is the correct price for the product sent to you. Again, I stress there was absolutely no intention to deceive you in any way regarding the price of the product.

Taking the above into account, I do believe your 1-star review is extremely harsh given our prompt response and proposed resolution to the issue, and would kindly ask you to reconsider the star rating you have given us.

My shipment never arrived

My shipment never arrived. Pour communication between the seller, still haven’t received an update 4 days after the shipment should have arrived.

As I'm sure you can appreciate, we are having massive issues with our courier DHL. All of our customers orders have left our warehouse and are now in the hands of DHL. Specifically your order was picked, packed and sent to DHL no later than 2 days after you placed the order. As you rightly say, you should have received the order on day 3 as we use DHL's "next day" service.

Unfortunately, DHL are currently struggling with an enormous back log caused by higher than usual seasonal delivery volume, high levels of staff sickness (rife throughout the UK), and industry wide strike action resulting in huge excess strain on DHL's network. As such, many of our customers orders are "delayed" within DHL's network, with DHL giving little clarity concerning expected delivery days or parcel location at any one time.

Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating for us as DHL are ultimately letting down our customers. As a small business, just starting out, this reflects very poorly on our service.

I do believe outside of current struggles with DHL, we can, and do provide an excellent service to our customers. I would appreciate if you take the above into account and look to give us another chance in the future with the possibility of rewriting your 1 star review as you see fit.

Again, please accept our utmost apologies, and have an excellent Christmas and New Year.

I don't have my order.!!!!!! Probably not your fault but I have had to buy extra presents to replace these items for Christmas... Not a cost I expected and I will two bottles of spirit in the New Year that I don't need or want...

In regards to your current order, when it eventually is delivered to you, you are more than welcome to file a return for the items if you no longer need them. You have 14 days after the day of delivery to return the items hassle free.
